      I purchased a protection plan for a sofa. The switch on the sofa broke and is covered by the protection plan. I opened a claim weeks ago and Guardsman does not care about resolving the issue. They delegated the problem down to Carolina Furniture Technicians, LLC who care even less than Guardsman. I would never purchase this protection plan again from Haverty's. Total scam.

      Terrible company. I purchased a five-year protection plan on a lot of furniture when we bought our house about four years ago. The wood frame is cracked & a danger to my family especially my 22-month-old Son & 8-month pregnant Wife.

      The information below provides a description of each item for which you filed a claim, along with an explanation for each item. Based upon the information that you provided, your claim is not eligible for service for the reason(s) below:
      Chair-Dining Room Side Chair #1-Wood/Fabric - Frame Cracked - The stain or damage that you reported has not been considered for coverage because the required timeframe for reporting the stain or damage was not met. This is indicated under the section of your protection plan titled "Requirements for Requesting Service." In some protection plans, this requirement can be found in section 2.
      We encourage you to refer to your protection plan for complete information about coverage, exclusions, service procedures, and the length of coverage. If you feel this is an error, please reach out to us at 1-***-***-9657."
      The required timeframe?! I am within the timeframe. Anyone who ever buys from this company is in for a rude awakening. Very disappointed & will never buy from anywhere that has Guardsman for services.

      0 stars How in the world is this company rated an A+ when they are not transparent at all?? I spent hundreds of dollars on a protection plan for my already expensive sectional only to have my claim denied.The plan states it covers seam separation and when I submitted my claim stating the seam separated from sitting on the couch I was denied coverage with this statement, the damage you reported is a stress tear, which is excluded from coverage under the section of your protection plan titled "Manufacturer Quality Issues." Buying this plan was a complete sham and they use your words against you. I was told that tears and seam separation are covered and was clearly mislead. DO NOT buy a protection plan from this company.

      Absolutely horrible customer service. Our recliner broke in July. It is now nearly October, and I'm still waiting (albeit with my legs elevated) to have this issue resolved. Good luck getting a reply to your email or a wait time of anything less than one hour on hold. You have a better chance of saving up for a new sectional. Terrible company.

      This company denied a claim to repair my sofa cushion. I was told by my furniture company that this type of claim is covered by Guardian however it was not. I was hesitant to buy the additional warranty because I believe it was scam and a money grab.

      Terrible company. We have a couch that we purchased the gold warranty for. Its 2 years old and the cushions are torn on the sides. Guardsman says they only cover it if its accidental tears. This company is a complete scam.

      Horrible Service! Their customer service is terrible. I have had to use them 3x for the same repair and each time it takes them MONTHS to get a technician to come out. The pull handle cable for reclining keeps breaking and they keep replacing it. I blame myself for not reading the reviews on this company before purchasing this costly "service". I have even written them on their contact us page on their website and they have NEVER replied. From waiting on the phone to just be able to get a link to report a claim (at least 36 minutes or more each time) to trying to find out where my repair ticket is in "their queue" . ********

      The whole extended warranty seems like a scam. We bought the 5 year protection for a leather sofa that we purchased for approximately $3500 with taxes. The protection plan itself was several hundred dollars. The leather started fading and coming off in corners. We filed a claim and followed up numerous times. Nothing happened. Sent written letter by certified mail. No response. Filed BBB complaint and got some absurd replies. How is this company rated A plus in BBB?
