Water all over my floor from dishwasher.. I call them they send out repairman.. he thinks the spinner is clogged.. he rinses it out.. AHW refused to pay and Im out $155. I go to use it a week later and water all over the floor.. I called my own repairman that really takes his time going over machine.. he felt the spinner was cracked! I could get a new spinner but piece it sits on is not made anymore.. so out another $80.. I just went and bought a new dishwasher.. I would never tell anyone to buy this warranty. Sadly my realtor had me buy it. Probably gets a kickbackAmerica's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered. Further, ********* Preferred Home Warranty does not have contractors; the contractor who visited was hired by the homeowner. I see that the contractor stated that the spray arm was dislodged by a possible clog in the unit. Per the terms and conditions of the contract, the company is not responsible for the cost of cleaning of equipment or parts. As your contractor just needed to clear the clog in the spray arm to fix the issue, it was not covered under the warranty. I also see that we did not receive a call with the diagnosis and estimate from the second contractor you stated came out to the home. We were therefore unable to revisit the claim with the updated information. If you would like to call in with the second contractor, please call our award-winning customer service department. They have taken MONTHS to process a request. This is after the fact that they wouldn't pay for even half of it. It's interesting to read in the comments below that some people are getting 3x what they paid for something and I can't even get reimbursed for 10% of what my repair cost me. They will not pay me and they do nothing to follow up and let me know that they are working on it. They go out of their way to not help, or to not pay. You would better saving your money or going with another provider.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Approval amounts for systems beyond manufacturers/ industry standard life expectancy are at the sole discretion of the Company. I'm only replying so that if anyone looks at this they can see you have not done your job just because you reply to complaints here. You have not reached out multiple times the past couple of months. I have received automatic replies to emails stating that you are receiving my messages but no person has actually replied. I wouldn't count those as you "reaching out". Thanks for the "helpful" information about a furnace. Here is some information for you: even with someone who is frustrated, it's important to keep in mind that a person is a person and should be treated with respect and a company should be trying to assist rather than place blame and shrug off their responsibilities to help. I stand by my above statement that someone would be better off saving their money or going with another provider.Review fromAnna T

My 19 year old water heater stopped working. I called **** and got the go ahead to get a repairman in to check it out. He said the unit needed to be replaced. The cost for replacement and the new water heater totaled more than $2200. **** decided that they should only cover $450 and then did a "deductible" of $100. (It's not like I had to pay more than $1850 out of pocket already!) I was really shocked how little they paid for a repair. I'm seriously thinking of changing to another company because this was unacceptable. I've learned a ****** here. Don't go with America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc., if you think it's going to cover repairs. It' won't.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Previous owner purchased home warranty as selling point. I am so glad I didnt waste my money paying for this purchase. I have had several things go wrong and each time they find some excuse not to pay. From an electrical breaker to furnace issue. I called for Supervisor and was a waste of time. Basically said no exceptions. Electrical issue could have started a fire. Furnace issue is from air conditioner issue and they refuse to cover. *********************. I have reviewed your claims and am pleased to see that we were able to approve your full plumbing claim minus the required deductible, as well as your Air Conditioning claim. Between these two approved claims, you have received nearly 3X the cost of our standard warranty package in reimbursements, all at no cost to you as you mentioned.
The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered and may not be covered 100%. I see that the furnace failed from water leaking off the coil and causing damage; I also see that the contractor for the electrical panel stated the wires were nicked and sheathed from the installer. Neither failure is considered as normal wear and tear, and therefore we were unable to assist with these claims.

We have been paying extra for sprinkler system / irrigation coverage for the last 2 years. We alreayd had electrical coverage as it is included in the base warranty. When we had to file a claim yesterday because the compressor / pump has failed and the replacement is $2,000, ********* Preferred Home Warranty advised that we had no coverage. When I pointed out the fact that we had been paying extra for 2 years to be sure the irrigation system was covered, they informed me that the coverage only applies to the underground sprinkler lines, not the compressor / pump or wiring. When I asked them for a certified copy of my warranty / policy, they emailed me a sales brochure. This company is not to be recommended. They took our money for 2 years for our irrigation coverage, then as soon as we needed them, they denied coverage. Would have been better off taking the money we paid to ********* Preferred Home Warranty for the warrant premium, and used it to buy a new compressor / pump on our own.
