This company manipulates you into thinking you have a piece of mind when you purchase this warranty. Its the opposite. They say plumbing is covered. Its only covered up to $500. Also, they ask probing questions to you and the technician in attempts to get the answers they are looking for so they can deny your claim. When you plead your case, they just tell you its out of their hands. They are extremely well trained to deny your claim, they are not here to help. They are here to rob you of your money. I will not be renewing and will warn family and friends who have this to not renew. I will also warn local realtors, sellers, and home buyers to use a different warranty company. There should be a zero star option for this company.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Hello ******,Thank you for telling us about your experience; I can understand your frustration with the claim determination. The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered, and certain items have limitations of coverage as stated in the warranty brochure. Upon review of your claim, I see the contractor stated that he pulled back tree roots and disposable wipes. The warranty states under plumbing that blockages from tree roots and foreign objects are not covered. Therefore, the warranty was unable to assist with this claim. I recommend to not use this company. I filed three claims and only one contractor agreed to come out to look at my air conditioner. **** other contractor said they would not deal with ****. Once on-site the contractor listed several possible causes and said he would need to do ******************. The **** person seized on the least possible cause (faulty installation, on a unit that had been working for 20 years) and denied the claim. Both of my other claims were denied in the same manner or just ignored. I canceled the service after a year. Seems the ****************** are trained to listen for reasons to deny a claim.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Again, this is an example of what I said, you search for a reason to deny claims. The two claims referenced did not occur prior to my owning the house, that is false. Why would I buy a house (during the summer I might add) with a non-working air conditioner, no one would and I did not. The other two claims were a result of my inability to find contractors willing to come to my house under the warrenty with your company, when I expressed this with the call center, they responded with not their problem. The contract did indeed expire, and I no longer want your product. I went with a different company that arranges contractors for the homeowner for them.Review fromKristie D

I am a first time homebuyer and when things started going wrong and not working it was extremely overwhelming. Add that the site didn't have our information and would not let me register. I sent an email to the site and was answered in less than 20 minutes by *****. I was directed to call and ***** answered the phone! She was personable, informational and easy to communicate with and she understand my struggles. She not only helped me get through the processes I needed, she thoroughly explained the next steps and helped me find contractors for our situation. Was able to talk to an associate who quickly helped me file a claim and explained in detail all of the steps. When the technician came, everything was simple moving forward to process the claim. They were fine for awhile until I realized they werent worth it, so I canceled them over the phone. About 2 years later after I had cancelled they sent me an email saying thanks for your payment! I was shocked to say the least. After I canceled they kept right on billing me but never sent me confirmation of payment in my email until about 2 years later! Ill probably have to cancel my credit card to get them to stop automatic billing me! Im furious & not letting this go!America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Hello *****,Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience.I have reviewed your contracts and claims and I'm happy to see that we have been able to assist with every claim you have filed (including two claims filed and approved since you stated you thought the warranty was cancelled). Additionally, our payment processing system automatically sends a payment confirmation email after each payment is processed, and renewal emails are sent out monthly for 3 months before the warranty is set to auto-renew. I also found that yesterday was the first call we received regarding cancelling your warranty, and that you were not sure if you wanted to cancel yet or not. Later yesterday afternoon we reached out regarding cancelation, and upon confirmation, payments were stopped and your warranty is in the process of being canceled. The warranty will remain in effect until 7/16 unless you decide to continue the payments. That's just not true. You can mix words all you want. Your claim representative said, "we can help you with that", which to any normal person means we cover that issue.R. W.

Further, to claim a ****** is not covered, when it's clearly a part of the "waste lines" (which are specifically covered) is like saying, "we cover waste lines, but not the 90 degree bends". My initial **** plan was included with the purchase of my first house in 2016. I had an excellent experience and renewed the plan without any disappointments. I moved to my current house and a home warranty came with this property, too, but the seller used a different company. They were horrible, I often had to wait on hold for 45 minutes to talk to a representative for a claim. I purchased an **** priority plan this past year. I am thrilled that their customer service is still top notch. I had inquired via email about the priority plan and received a detailed response the next day. The **** guy who was here two weeks ago at 7:30pm was shocked that I was able to get a representative on the line within minutes to discuss the diagnosis. I will continue recommending Americas Preferred Home Warranty company to every homeowner.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.
