Just finished my first year of home ownership and I was so glad to have **** when my dishwasher went down. I chose a local repairman who worked with **** to ensure smooth repairs. I was reimbursed quickly as well. I just renewed for another year, and I hope I wont need them, but it feels good to have a backup!America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THESE FOLKS, THEY ARE STRAIGHT UP CROOKS!I have had a policy with these people since 5/18, with little to no claims during this time. The Compressor went out on my Air Conditioner, which called for replacement of my unit. The installed new unit was quoted @ $11.5K, and they wanted to give me $650 toward a new unit. Then they proceeded to tell me that the unit was older that the "standard" lifespan of this type unit, and if I read the small fine print I should have known that. My wife is recovering from Leukemia, and I need to keep my home temperature controlled. I have cancelled my policy; as you should as well, because you will get the same song and dance. After paying these people over $4000 in premiums, you would think you would have a better return on your "warranty". Put your money towards replacing whatever appliance you need to fix or replace, as you will get little to no return on your money from these Shysters.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; it does not cover everything and may not cover 100%. Upon review of your contracts and claims, I am pleased to see that the last three HVAC claims you have filed were covered for the full cost of repair minus the required deductible; lessening the burden of the unexpected out-of-pocket costs. I am also pleased to advise you that we were able to make an adjustment in your favor for your current HVAC claim. I have reached out to you to discuss this adjustment, please respond to the voicemail left on your phone before your contract is set to expire. Although we are sad to see you go, your cancelation has been submitted and your request is being processed. All payments have been stopped and your coverage will end on June 4th. If I could give negative stars, I would...!!!! I have paid my premiums for years but when my heat pump broke **** only wanted to pay $172 of a $2,400 bill.......this warranty was worthless when I needed the most...I cancelled it immediately ... they got my ******************'t let them get yours..STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..........America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Please see response also posted to your review on ****** Hello ******,Thank you for taking the time to submit your review; I can understand your frustration.The terms of the contract state that the warranty provides coverage for specific items that fail due to normal wear and tear, and it may not cover the entire cost of repair or replacement of a covered item. It further states that approval amounts for systems beyond manufacturers/industry standard life expectancy are at the sole discretion of the company.Upon review of your claims, I see your heat pump unit had a specific amount of allowable funds available based on the age and the standard life expectancy of heat pump units. As you had an approved claim for a repair to your unit in March, this left a balance of funds remaining for future repairs within your contract year. The key words in this response are " at the sole discretion of the company" which means if the repair bill is too high, they will just stick it to you. I have already cancelled my warranty and will encourage others to cancel or avoid at all costs due to such "loopholes" in the warranty agreement.Review fromElizabeth A

Worthless. A scam. We tried to file a claim twice for our boiler system. Did exactly what they ask. They spoke to the tech for an hour. He gave them all the info on the boiler. (November of 2022) They later emailed us needed the age model number etc on the boiler which the tech gave them. I also gave them a picture of model number etc from the boiler. Called they couldnt figure out anything on the boiler. Plus they had told couldnt pay for valve repair or hourly rate. So in all they paid nothing. Didnt pay for the first or second time. So a waste of money. You can do everything they say to get paid and still nothing. Total waste of money. A scam. Everyone I know will be told of this scam. Scam!!!!!!! The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered. Upon review of your contract and claims I see that we have four claims on your warranty. The first was an HVAC claim that was closed at your request. The second was also an HVAC claim where the contractor simply needed to tighten a s**** That is considered general maintenance and is not covered by the home warranty, per the terms and conditions. I also see that you have a water heater claim that the contractor stated is melting from the top due to improper placement, that is not considered as normal wear and tear; the warranty was unable to assist with this claim. The final claim on your warranty was placed this morning and has not been used, therefore the claim has not been denied. I understand that when speaking with our award-winning customer service team that you refused to contact a contractor to come out to diagnose the issue. As previously mentioned, there are specific parts that are and are not covered, therefore a professional diagnosis is necessary to complete the claim. If you wish to move forward with this claim, please contact customer service once the contractor has the diagnosis and estimate available. **** did extra follow-up to help resolve my garage door spring issue, a totally unexpected broken spring on my well-maintained 10 year old home. I very much appreciated their "above and beyond" customer service! **** made me very happy that I extended the term of the one year warranty that the seller or the real estate agent gave us when we bought our house (I don't remember which gave it to us, I just know I didn't have to buy that first year of coverage). For sure now I will renew my warranty every year when it next comes due, because issues like this come up sooner or later in every home. So happy I made the right decision when I renewed! Absolutely so disappointed. We have used other companies in the past and thought this would be a better company. SO disappointed and would never ever recommend this company to anyone. The manager we spoke to essentially stated they don't have to cover anything at all and we should be grateful for the 5% of the cost of the new system that they are covering.
