We bought our home in 2020, the home warranty was already paid for the year. So we decided to look over the information in brochure. We kept the warranty and we had a breakdown on our HVAC unit. So we called the warranty company the ** rep ***** helpful with us on that issue. We received very small reimbursement amount. But just this past February ********************************** winter. We call our HVAC service company the guy came out and checked the unit. We called the warranty company she were very helpful with us on this claim. We had about $1600 in repairs we were reimbursed for the Freon that leaked out and we know its not cheap. Were very thankful that they were able to help us get our HVAC system working properly. We truly see the difference in having a home warranty in place.

Very disappointed in my recent claim review. I have renewed this policy each year because a representative told me that with the age of my HVAC units that chances are they will either need a major repair or replacing. This past week, one of the units stopped working and a HVAC technician recommended replacing the unit. The warranty company reviewed the claim and called to tell me that $500 is the maximum they could pay. Excuse me what??? I was not only disappointed but felt as though I had been smacked in the face. Very satisfied with my experience with ****. They have met and exceeded in some regards my expectations. Im really happy I was able to choose my own repairman. Still waiting for my reimbursement check for my recent claim, but based off of the responsiveness so far, I expect that to be coming here very shortly. If zero stars was an option they definitely would get that. This company is a joke. They are a scam. After reading multiple peoples issues and speaking to multiple employees I am disgusted. Shame on this company. It is a JOKE. 20k in repairs and the reimbursement from this company $560.20. Yes you read that right.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

The warranty is in place to assist with the cost of repairing or replacing specific items that fail from normal wear and tear; not all items are covered and may not be covered 100%. The brochure states that units beyond manufacturer's life expectancy are at the sole discretion of the company. Upon review of your claim, I am pleased to see that we were able to assist with offsetting the out-of-pocket cost of replacing the **** unit. I am very disappointed and would not recommend this company. Purchased a home in December of 2022 and my realtor recommended this home warranty. However, **** sent me a short brochure that explained the coverage; however, implemented a litany of exclusions that were not listed on the original brochure. Then, 3 months later when I filed a claim, **** told me they could not cover labor for a part that would be supplied by the manufacturer and told me it's in their terms and conditions. I would say this was a "bate and switch" tactic with them not being upfront with the realtor about what is excluded to get him to purchase the warranty and then used it during the claims process. I would definitely look for a different company as I have had fairly good luck with the last warranty company that I used.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.
