This is for my customer service **** ***** who went back and researched my claim and then called me back to explain it to me. Most people would not take the time. It was refreshing. I am still waiting to see how much the company will reimburse me for the items warrantied so I will won't rate that just yet.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

This company came with the house purchase, just had to pay a monthly fee. We used them once for a cheap repair for our tub and it was fine, maybe a $60 fix. However their site says something like, "things break, your wallet shouldn't". Well, our furnace went out from normal wear and tear, (its an 18 year old unit), and the contractor stated as such to APHW. They denied it stating it was due to not being serviced or whatever and referred us to insurance. However there is literally a log on the furnace that shows the dates of them doing just that. So called insurance and of course they don't cover it (that is what home warranty is for). We spoke with the contractor and they had NEVER had a home warranty claim denied for a heat exchange going out on a furnace that old. We called the home warranty back, they talked to the contractor, contractor called us and said yes the home warranty people seemed to be ok to cover it, we called APHW back again and......they put us on hold for 20 minutes to talk to a supervisor. Came back on the line and denied it again for some other reason about maintenance, told us that there is a clause in the contract that speaks directly to this. I asked where it was.....the representative couldn't find it, and just continued to tell me they couldn't help with anything. Over the course of nearly 3 years we paid in over ***** to these people and they reimbursed us less than $75 on a tub faucet one time. I was upset and it was obvious they were looking for ANY reason to deny us, when I said "you just don't want to cover this do you?" ******* on the phone became obviously irate with me. Needless to say we canceled our policy and had to pay out of pocket for a brand new furnace. Oh, and when we canceled, they asked why, as soon as I started to state the reason, ******* began cutting me off saying "ok" "ok" "ok"......DO NOT GET HOME WARRANTY THROUGH APHW!America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

It does not cover everything, and it may not cover the entire cost of repair or replacement of a covered item.Upon review of your contracts, I see that we were able to assist you on claims for your plumbing and A/C.Upon review of your furnace claim, I see that the contractor advised that the condensate drain line was clogged and backed up, causing water to flood the heat exchanger. This would not be considered normal wear and tear; therefore, we are unable to assist with this claim. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Their gimmick is they allow you to select your own vendor to make the repairs and they only cover UP TO a certain amount. My deductible is only $100 and both time I opened claims I was out of pocket $479 the first time and $294. They speak to the technician and you can hear them toggling in their minds how to NOT pay claims. You select the vendor and when they arrive you are left holding the bag and having to pay WAY MORE than your deductible. I absolutely HATE this company and will cancel immediately. PLEASE DO NOT SELECT THIS COMPANY.. I PROMISE YOU WILL REGRET ITAmerica's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

While we assisted with the cost to replace your faucet, we were unable to assist with the shower arm, as it is not listed as a covered item.Upon review of your dryer claim, I see that we were able to make an adjustment to cover the full cost of the estimate. Zero Stars, if I could have given less stars, I would Highly recommend that NO ONE use this insurance company. Unfortunately this is the warranty company that came with the closing for my mothers new home purchase and they have done everything in their power not too pay out. They should also do a better job at training their associates because before getting any work done on our home we did reach out to the insurance company for clarity and was given information as far as pay out that they did not honor. this company should 100% be investigated for fraud. its extremely unfortunate that my mother is having to deal with such a company. And disabled army veteran at that shame on them. by the way, at least two claims have had to be filed and neither of them were honored. We have opened two claims since buying our home. Its too obvious that they are focused on finding a reason to not pay anything. Highly recommend NOT using this company.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

This contract covers only those items which are specified as covered in the section of the agreement titled What is Covered? If a system and or item is not listed as covered, then it is not covered.Upon reviewing your claims, I see that your evaporator coil on your refrigerator is leaking. Per your warranty, the evaporator coil is not a listed covered part and your claim is not approved. I wish I had read all the negative reviews first and not listened to our realtor about getting the warranty which cost us about $675 for the year and covered nothing. Now they raised the cost up to $975/year so I immediately cancelled the warranty. What a joke! I will put the money in the bank and pay for any repairs on my own without having to worry about getting their approval. Do yourself a favor and put your money in the bank instead of wasting it on this scam!America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

I have received an estimate for service repair on my HVAC for **** and they would only cover 700 and they said it was based on the age of unit, one time they said they will cover the service and I had to submit the invoice after they receiving the invoice they denied the claimAmerica's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

This is a scam. They are so focused on denying the claims, they offer the dispute option before you've finished speaking. Of course, they're still going to deny your claim after you dispute it. Further, they really make it laborious to access their online claim system. I'm sure plenty of people give up before getting that far. You are better off putting that contract sum in a bank account and applying it to ************.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

In order to qualify for coverage, potentially covered items must be fully operational and in satisfactory working condition upon occupancy of the home.Upon the review of your claim, I see that when the claim was opened, you advised the **************** Representative that you found a substantial hole in the drain line of the washing machine and it did not operate properly for you on your first use upon occupancy of the home. This is the worst home warranty basically charge my mother $125.00 for nothing Sent a technician out that didn't do anything to fix the problem. Then when she called they said they will have to charge her again if they send someone else out at this point we may as well just find a plumber ourselves.
