Warranty was purchased by realtor.Subjected to multitude of phone calls before and post the warranty expiration. I had to block the number to stop the calls. Borderline harassmentAmerica's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

Nope for this homeowner. Numerous phone calls & emails with **** after being given the runaround after my air conditioner died. The technician, from a local 5-star BBB rated company, was on site & thoroughly explained to the **** rep that my system was beyond *********** would be unethical & dangerous to try to repair it. It would be equivalent to putting a band-aid on an arterial bleed. He had to shut it down completely. I sent **** pics of the damaged system along with the repair invoices & new system estimate. For days I was without air conditioning during 90+ degree weather while I waited for a new system to be installed. **** called me after 10 p.m a few days later to tell me they would only reimburse me $1000 minus the $126 deductible for the repairs. What a joke. Have they checked the costs of new air conditioning systems lately? Reputable repair companies despise working with home warranty companies as they always try to find a way to not get the needed repairs done. The home warranty business is equivalent to the car extended warranty scam - they try to scare you into thinking you have peace of mind in the event of a home appliance breakdown; but, when you do have a problem, the warranty company will find every loophole to not pay for the repairs. Save your money and set aside what you would pay for a home warranty into an emergency fund for such times as this. ***** earn interest on that money and have it up front rather than waiting on any home warranty company to reimburse you. Im still waiting on my $1000 from ****. Definitely NOT renewing my subscription with ****.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

The contract states that it does not cover everything, and it may not cover the entire cost of repair or replacement of a covered item. Upon review of your A/C claim, however, Im pleased to see that we were able make an adjustment in your favor. I attempted to contact you and there was no answer. I would echo all the complaints here. They've done a great job of whitewashing their ****** SEO so only the puff pieces come out. But a year and a half into owning my first single family home and this company has helped with exactly one service call. A plumbing issue. Even that ended up costing me in the form of a "deductible". Today my garage door snapped a cable, and after doing the ridiculous and time consuming dance of making a tech (who get's paid hourly by the way) answer a bunch of pointless questions, the rep tells me that cables aren't covered under garage door openers. REALLY? If you sit and listen in on the conversation you can tell they are going through a whole script to see if they can apply one of their countless loopholes to get out of paying off. The whole concept of buying a "warranty" for a home is ridiculous. It's really just a predatory insurance racket and most contractors refuse to work with them anyway. I will not be renewing my business with them again. I encourage everyone else to just put your money into savings and pull from it when needed. These jokers just made a stressful situation worse.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.

It also states that your chosen deductible is required for every approved claim.Upon review of your account, I am pleased to see that we were able to approve two of your claims to help offset the cost of your plumbing repairs. Regarding your garage door claim, I see that the cables failed, which are not listed as covered parts under the terms of your warranty contract, so we are unable to assist with this claim.While we are unable to assist with that issue, our blog is full of useful information that can help you to avoid an unwanted future repair. Our A/C went out conveniently at 5pm on a Friday so I called **** and started a claim. They were nice and personable. I was able to locate a company that could come out same day (evening) and have it repaired for less than an arm and a leg. **** was my point of contact and she was the nicest person ever! She took excellent care of us and was very helpful. I was not looking forward to making a claim but **** and the others made it painless.America's Preferred Home Warranty, Inc.
