Our business has been using Clear Rate communications for quite a while. We recently had our lines disconnected and after we communicated with them, their customer service gave ** multiple different answers as to when it would be reconnected. After the second day of not having phone services, we tried to connect with a supervisor explaining the urgency of reconnecting and the representative refused to transfer, stating they would call us back in 1-3 business days, and then hung up. This was one of MULTIPLE calls me made in an attempt to resolve our issues. We were also told that a supervisor would call us back by the end of the day, and when the end of our day came we tried to call back and were told that all supervisors had gone home for the day and we would continue to be disconnected for a third day. We are highly dissatisfied and will be finding a more reputable provider.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

My mother's phone service in *******, ******* goes out every time it rains or snows. Clear Rate blames it on the old copper system but does nothing to upgrade it. My mother is 94 and homebound and needs the use of a medical alert device. Service reps are nice on the phone but do nothing to help. They say they'll "escalate" a work order but there's no consideration for elderly customers with special needs. I'm sick of the runaround. As soon as I can make other arrangements, we'll disconnect service.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

This can cause problems with the phone service, such as static, noise, or loss of signal. To fix these problems, technicians need to repair or replace the damaged wires, which is why POTS lines need constant repairing.The physical phone lines are managed by the local exchange carrier, and while we can escalate work orders, the resolution timeline is determined by them. This business is all scam. We set our elderly mother who lives in assisted living with phone service through ziply. This business called my mother who has early dementia and convinced her to switch to their service. We had no idea and wondered why we weren't getting charged monthly for her phone service. It wasn't until months later, and after it went to collections that we discovered that a switch had been made. We went back and forth with this business and their affiliate collections agency and paid their bill in full, even though her service was not even working for a number of months! We were assured that this account was closed. We just received several new bills for this account! When we called the number on the bill I was hung up on by the first man, and the second was referring me to call another 800 number but refuses to tell me what business I was about to call about why my account was still being billed. When I called the number it was. Collections ******* Argon Collections. This service was suspended, this account was closed, yet we are STILL getting billed for the phone service that is not connected. Currently on hold for the 4th time today to try and find out what they are sending a new bill. I was told it was a bill for early termination, which was waived when we paid the balance this summer. It is now mid November. This issue should be over. It was dealt with and paid in full, yet here we are still getting scammed by this business.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

I apologize if you feel dissatisfied with our services. Please understand that it is not our intention to target or take advantage of any individual, especially older folks. We strive to provide quality services to all our customers, regardless of their age or background. A lot of customers who use POTS (plain old telephone service) happen to be elderly I would like to point out as well. In regards to the billing, it is likely that there was a remaining balance due before the disconnection happened for months service was active with us. Unfortunately once a bill goes into collections you have to negotiate with them. We do apologize for the inconvenience and recommend putting a freeze on your moms current account to avoid this happening in the future. I am honestly very disappointed with this service.. I have lived here at this address for almost 10 years and I've had Clear Rate phone service the entire time because there's no other phone service for this community during this time my bill has went up without notice and most of the time I have little to no service at all..Most of the time they will not even give you a reduction on the bill for the time you are without service.. My mother has been contacting them for a month now trying to get her phone turned on, She has Stage Four Breast Cancer and cant contact her doctors nor can her doctors contact her. The hospital has sent them a letter stating that her phone is medical equipment and could be life threatening if she cant call out being that she lives and hour away. They called me and said that they were my local carrier offering a price reduction as part of the upcoming name change of my current provider. (Century Link to ******).They totally misrepresented who they were and when I asked if they were truly Century Link the representative said they were. During the automated / recorded process to verify I wanted to get my new lower rate one of the later questions noted that this was indeed a company called Clear Rate Communications and not Century Link. It also said that if I were to cancel service prior to the one year contract I would be responsible for all fees for all remaining months. They are a unscrupulous company who are lying to the people they are calling. And as I can see below, once they have you they will give you no customer service. I am glad I was able to be in front of my computer to search for them while still in the automated confirmation loop. There are currently class action lawsuits pending against them. The representative stated that if I said "No" to any of the questions that she would come back on the line to answer my questions or concerns - but as soon as I said no to one of the questions I was disconnected. Be aware, they will call and insinuate that they are with your local carrier. "They are NOT".Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

I agreed to do business with clear Rate immediately. I then received a device for my land line phone which did not work. Consequently, after a month, I have no land like service and can not talk to anyone at this company without my mobile phone disconnecting. Clear Rate's phones usually keeps you on hold for about an hour and then it disconnects. I've gone through this about four times ( hold on for an hour, the disconnect ) No 0ne returns my calls. I have no solution to the problem with my land line phone which I use for work. I am absolutely discussed.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

My aunt who is 80 years old was told by Clear ******************* **** that **** was going out of business. She believed that her services would be terminated. They terminated her services with **** and sent her an antenna with no instructions and I learned that she was without services for more than two weeks. We sent a letter of complaint and returned their equipment to them in July. As a response they sent her an additional bill for $281.16 for services and failure to return the equipment. We sent them a copy of the tracking showing that they received their equipment and we will never pay that bill.I believe that Clear Rate Communications takes advantage of senior citizens and should be sued by **** for their lies.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.

My 83 yo FIL phone has been out for nearly 20 days. He has a life alert which clearly doesn't work without the phone working. I've spoken to nearly 5 different reps with all kinds of excuses & false promises. Clear rate "rents" the lines from Frontier .Another red flag. One rep said it will be fixed ***** hrs. Don't happen. Next rep said said I'll have a supervisor call you. Didn't happen. I asked what call back number are you using. Of course, it was the non working number. UGH.Clear Rate Communications, Inc.
