    Their telemarketers took advantage of my elderly aunt with dementia. They will not let me cancel without her permission. I don't understand their business model. I am reporting to FCC.

    This is the worst customer service I have every received.My very elderly mother with dementia was talked into something by their telemarketers.I spent 35 minutes on the phone trying to cancel and they refused without speaking to my mom who is in a nursing home.There is no way I am going to upset her by letting them talk to her again.

    Scammers - 100%. They almost got me 2 years ago saying they were authorized by Century Link to move my billing to them... I went through the whole process, and before I pulled the trigger - I called century Link only to find out they are solicitors and century link gave me better pricing. I talked to Clear Rate to stop the process, and they agreed to stop the process. Ever since then, I get calls after calls as if I was stupid to not know what/who they are. I tell them repeately to take us off their lists, and yet they keep calling. This last call "******" said that I'd have to call the corporate office to get off the MASTER LIST, and I asked for that number, she said she didn't have it. What a lie! I challenged her on that, then asked for her supervisor, and She HUNG UP on me. When they don't like any push back, they just simply hang up. Terrible company.

    These people called my 93 year old mother and talked her into changing her phone service. Our first indication of this was when the router arrived at her apartment. She did not know what it was or why it was sent to her. We called Clear Rate Communications to stop them from initiating service. Instead of acknowledging our request and giving us clear information they insisted on including our mother in a runaround conversation that only upset and confused her. Later I called Clear Rate from my home and the service representative told me that nothing would be done about the contract without my mother's ok. I asked if that meant that the contract would stay in effect or if it meant that the service would not be started. She would not answer the question, only repeated that nothing would be done about the contract. I told the representative that this needed to be resolved or my next call would be to the ********* Attorney General. She then said that there was a note on the account canceling the service. This took place on a Friday afternoon when there can be no follow up until next week. I am left with nothing to show that in fact the contract is canceled, that she will not be billed, or any information as to what to do with the router. I am hoping that they do not have access to my mother's bank account and that they do not interfere with my mother's current phone service. All of this anxiety and confusion could have been avoided if we were given straight forward information in the first place.

    I was contacted by Clear Rate Communications today. They stated that ******* has contracted with them to save me money on our business phone service. I stated to them that I would need more information before changing anything. The person on the call said I received notice from ******* a few weeks ago and that they would be transferring my phone service. I again said that I would need more information before changing anything, please email me the information. She said she cannot do that and she would put down that I don't want to save money and hung up on me. What reputable company cannot put their offer in writing? I immediately called ******* and asked for them to freeze my account from any transfers. I see on your site that many people have been scammed by this company. They misrepresented themselves to me. How are they still in business?

    Stay away. Their customer service is severely lacking. First off called to set up service the woman didnt take my number. Then when I called 4 days later was told they were supposed to call me for a deposit. That woman told me that she would leave a note to expedite so I would still fall within my **** business day window to turn my service on. Then I called again 4 days later and was told oh no out policy states the **** days start after the deposit is taken. Then I call on the 10th day no services still. And find out that the whole time they had my address wrong. DO NOT START SERVICES WITH THEM!! I will be getting my deposit back and going somewhere else. I have never had this many issues with any other company ever. Stay away from them.

    Called my grandmother saying they were taking over billing for CenturyLink since CenturyLink had been sued by FTC and lost. And her new phone bill would be $50 and come from different name but not to worry because they were taking over CenturyLink accounts. Misleading scammers. They aren't taking over CenturyLink just using manipulation tactics to sign up "new" customers. If unable to get services canceled and returned to CenturyLink will file elder abuse charges

    I'm still waiting for the guaranteed call I was supposed to get from a supervisor 3 weeks ago. Giant scamming company. Rude when called that is when can get threw. This company is just a bunch of deceptive scammers

    This company was a nightmare to deal with. Insist that they are never wrong. Continue sending bills for canceled service then say that only phone service was canceled not internet which is not true.

    Avoid Clear Rate and choose any other service provider. Clear Rate preys upon Senior Citizens with unethical business practices and terribly unprofessional customer service. Without warning or notice they disconnected service to a couple in their 80's and left them without phone service which they relied upon for Doctors and Emergency medical communications for over 3 weeks. Clear Rate then charged an exorbitant fee for the "privilege" of being reconnected even though the actual repair service was performed by AT&T which charged $0 for the labor / work on their infrastructure. Clear Rate is playing with fire as their negligence could have led to a catastrophic outcome for an elderly couple that did not deserve such disrespectful service as they have been customers for over 15 years and have never been late on a monthly payment. The loss of service was even escalated to CR supervisors. Their response lacked empathy or professionalism. They even attempted to extort extra fees from these Senior Citizens in exchange for reconnecting service. When engaging Clear Rate have a good attorney available to record the calls and then threaten legal action in order to achieve satisfactory results. Sad but necessary...

    I got a phone call account a month ago saying they were Century Link and that they have been losing so many customers as they switch to cel phones only that Clear Rate was taking over the billing and that the monthly bill would only be 50 bucks per month. Of course, I did this to save money in these horrible economic times. A few days later when I received a call as soon as I answered it went to a dial tone. Never got a call to come through. So this was the nail in the coffin for Century link. I called Century link to cancel my service to move my service to Spectrum for ***** per month and Century Link told me they have no clue who Clear Rate was. So now that I knew who they were not I called Clear Rate who had said they were Century Link and canceled any service I had got which was none since my phone did not work. I am still getting billed from them. I am turning them in to the ******** ****** of Investigations (CBI) tomorrow. This is a scam.
