      I was rear ended on 10/27/2022 contacted the individuals auto-owners agent. Their adjuster come to the house and did an estimate. I took to body shop for their estimate. There is a difference of ******. They refuse to pay labor hourly rate, will only put after market bumper on my car, SC taxes was not added for a couple of items plus only calculated at 6%. The insurance person *************************** didnt return calls or text when I tried contacting her, had to call the local office and have them reach out to her. It took several days before they heard from her. My car is a 2015 ****** Sequoia and was in excellent condition before the wreck I should not have to settle for after market parts.After reading other comments it looks like this insurance company are ripping people off.

      Claims adjuster is a liar. Fighting us at every turn on a legitimate claim for roof hail damage. If you want a fair settlement dont expect one from Auto Owners. Very slow to respond and they refuse to look at evidence presented to them. I elevated my problem to the regional VP level and was just brushed off. No one should have to tolerate the behavior they have shown us.

      My vehicle was involved in an accident 22 days ago and there has been no resolution made. I emailed the police report stating the ** policy holder was at fault, but was advised they could not move foward on the claim until they make contact with the policy holder, whom was allowing an unauthorized driver operate the vehicle. This took two weeks. So, the vehicle my son was using to go back and forth to work now is undrivable until they can get an estimator out to look at the vehicle , ok 4-5 days. On the day he came out this was the adjusters last day,so Iwould say she drug this one out, lack of concern for the people it effected. I was advised to file it on my own policy, but I only carried collision. Today I had to make a call since its been a week and 2 business days an no one has reached out. I was given somuch mis information from the intial adjuster and when i ask the new adjuster , he pretty much made it like well your loss type attitude, we have the check now I need to submit proof I owe the vehicle, I would think this should have been established prior and additional document requested, I provided the accident report and have been more than patient on ** to settle the claim, but it appears if your not their policy holder and your just the victim of their policy holder your jusy ***. My son was on break when he was hit and didnt get to return to work. I work 2 jobs and was having to get up 3 hours prior to get him back and forth, because we have to work. Its not an option. I feel like I have been very patient, but ** has no concern for my loss. But after reading these reveiws from others this seems pointless, but i will continue to write reveiws on every platform until this is settled

      Auto Owners did not pay for hail damage claim even with proof . Neighbor had hail damage. 2 different roofers said hail damage. Report from weather reports said hail 5 months ago. Leaks in house.

      Our areas was determined to be a state of emergency by the governor of ******* and Auto-Owners is refusing to pay for damages. Our house has significant storm damage, all of which stems from the roof. All original hardwood floors circa ****. The floors are ruined, the walls have water damage, the ceilings upstairs have fallen and we now have mold growing, the basement was under water and the dirt has been washed away from the foundation of our house! All of which is from the ***** DAMAGE! They said because we dont have flood insurance theyre refusing to pay to repair our home. Funny thing is we didnt get flooded, its all stems from the roof damage. The water was running through the walls all from the roof. My call to ***************** refuses to return our calls and hes refusing to pay out for the repairs all because theyre saying it was due to flooding.. It wasnt! Its due to storm damage. So, were stuck with over 25K in damages and insurance wont help. BEWARE!!!! Do NOT get homeowners insurance through this company! If there was a way to give NO STARS, that would be our choice! Once again, ***** DAMAGE ALL DEEMED A STATE OF EMERGENCY BY GOVERNOR ****! Georgias Governor!

      Awful company u get hit by one of these policy holders they do not take care of u go threw ur own insurance company heads up there driver hit me grain truck I got hurt sprag ne k ,back ,hip ,tore rotary cup they won't take care of nothing been over a year they won't cover who they hit .Bad company to go too . Giving them one star wish u could choose a no star .rude people uncaring ..

      These people are frauds! They took my money, then said they gave it back and that I need to prove I didn't receive it for me to actually get it back. Good ol back and forth on we both got proof. Long story ******************'t deal with this company the consumer service is complete trash!

      The most unreasonable company there is. We recently purchased a home and the home required updated to remove potentially asbestos siding and roof updates. Originally they presured to have all updates complete in a year. However, contractors are booked out 2+yrs so the work had to be done by us. We negotiated an updated timeline and he was pleased with the progress. Not even a week later he came back out of no where and stated since we are not going through a contractor they can't confirm when the work will be completed so they are dropping us. With only 3 weeks to find new insurance where they have been leading us on for weeks. Absolutely uncalled for and horrible business. This is why no one trusts insurance agents. I will not recommend anyone to use this company and will send them elsewhere.

      We have two homes and two cars insured with auto owners. In May, a driver drove into one home and it is now September with not even a clean up of the site. All of the contractors bids that I had to solicit have expired. The adjuster sent us a $13,000 check when verbally they told us a minimum of $50,000 to fix. This check also stipulated that it was for the full amount of the loss. We then lawyered up as he said there is no way you are cashing that check. Since then, Auto Owners has refused our proof of loss, and dragged their feet although they said the drivers insurance, Progressive, would be paying the entire bill. Makes no sense. Now there is no correspondence at all with our attorney,contractors, or us. Do not use Auto Owners for anything. I would not even give one star if I had the choice. I love their motto.Simple human sense. They are the least professional insurance agency out there.

      Auto-Owners regrets our insured is unsatisfied with our service. It is our goal to pay amounts we know we owe, when we know we owe them. We agree we made a prompt initial payment, while also noting to our customer that additional funds would be owed based on future inspections to determine the full scope of loss. The check did not indicate the claim was paid in full. Auto-Owners has communicated with Mr.***** ******** and his contractor to fully evaluate the claim, and has paid all amounts owed at this time.

      Honestly a 0 stars! May have been more affordable, but definitely not worth the savings. We recently had a claim where my husband was sideswiped by a tractor. My husband was only 1 foot on the road, pulled over for a tractor. He was hit and damage done down the entire driver's side of the truck. Police report stated tractor was at fault party. My husband is 80% responsible because they were too lazy or it wasn't financially worth it to them to pursue reimbursement.
