My son was to receive orthodontic services with ** and they failed to do so. They receive $500 deposit to start. He was scheduled to come in to get it done, instead he was given rubber bands between his teeth and told to come back later. The plan was to have the braces put in before school start, due to school schedule. I was billed two time again for services I continue to never receive from **. I been in communication with ***************** and it like playing the merry go round and no information on how to get a refund when service is not provided. I called the number they gave me and the voice mail is with full, the line is busy, or leave a voice mail, that no one will return.Initial Complaint

At an appointment to replace my mouth guard in April 2024, my dentist said I needed x-rays. I informed the dentist that I had received x-rays there in February and that my ******** would not cover this. The doctor checked, and she informed me the x-rays would be covered. I told the dental assistant I did not think my insurance would cover the x-rays, but she took the x-rays. I was given my mouth guard, told to return the next week to adjust the mouth guard, which did not fit. I still have a 96-dollar charge for the x-rays. I called the office where I received treatment. including a three-way call with Humana, and was told that I would not have to pay. I have tried to contact the local corporate office numerous times, but my calls were not returned.Initial Complaint

Subject: Request for Refund for Crown RecementationI am reaching out to request a refund for the crown recementation service I received on 10/15/2024. I paid $180 for the procedure; however, after the initial examination, the doctor indicated that the crown might not remain secure but proceeded with the treatment nonetheless.Upon completion, I expressed my concern that the crown still felt loose, but it seemed there was a rush to close as I was the last appointment of the day. Despite my concerns, I was advised to return the following day, with the likelihood that Id need to consult another specialist. Unfortunately, the crown detached entirely as I was driving home, leaving me with the original issue and out the cost of the treatment.I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist me in obtaining a refund, as the service did not meet expectations and has required additional follow-up. I have attempted to contact this business in several ways including email, phone and haven't been able to get in contact.Initial Complaint

I am writing to formally address a significant issue regarding a $1,200 charge that I received from your office. I believe it to be unjustified and the result of unethical practices.During a recent consultation, my daughters orthodontist recommended a treatment plan. Unfortunately, I felt pressured to agree to the treatment under what I would describe as scare tactics employed by the office staff. After leaving the office and reflecting on the situation, I decided to cancel the treatment immediately. However, when I attempted to call the office, I was given the runaround and could not reach anyone who could assist me.When I finally reached someone, the young lady I spoke with refused to provide her name or give me a reference number to confirm the cancellation. Now, almost a month later, I have received a bill for $1,200 for services that I neither received nor wanted. Unfortunately, despite my efforts to contact your corporate office, I have been unable to reach anyone, as calls often go to voicemail, and the operator never answers. This is incredibly frustrating, especially considering that we decided to continue with Great Expressions after your company's data security breach last year, which compromised my daughters personal information. We gave your organization another chance despite this incident, and now we are facing predatory behavior that preys on vulnerable parents.Ive tried emailing the CEO and left voicemails on the corporate number that was provided to me and listed online no one has responded. This is unacceptable.Initial Complaint

I was referred to this office a few months ago from their other office within their network of offices in *********, **. Originally, the other office in ********* messed up on my teeth, and now owe me roughly $6000 which is a separate complaint. They referred me here to get them fixed. Originally, this office stated they took my insurance, but out of pocket cost would be $6000. The $6000 was paid, but then turned into another $1500 and another $1500, totaling about $9000, which was paid in full. Now, theyre stating I need to pay another $13,000 to get them fixed and that they dont take my insurance. I feel I am getting the run around and scammed. First the office in *********, now this office. $15000 in total between both offices ($9000 from this office, $6000 from the ****************** which I have filed a separate complaint already regarding the ***************** I just want my money back and will be getting my teeth fixed somewhere else. I cant even chew properly and have lost a ton of weight. This has taken a toll on me. I would like a full refund and will not be returning to this business.Initial Complaint

As soon as I spoke to the dentist, he was trying to make money out of me. The two front upper teeth needed some feeling, but the dentist did not give me an option. He said that he wanted to replace them with crowns instead of using fillings. That would come to about two thousand dollars. The only reason I came to Great Expression on ************ is because my insurance changed it to them. My too who was next to the two of them had the worst problem and the previous dentist just did a filling and so far it has been five years with no problems. I saw some previous reviews of other patients and they have also posted getting ripped off. I need this clinic to get me another dentist who will be more concerned about my options than having to make money off of me. I submitted a request to get copies of my X-ray via email and it has been a week now. Other locations do not take this long, so I am assuming that do not care. I have left them several messages, and no one has contacted me or sent me an email. This is a big rip of and I am not going to let them do this. I as a patient should have other options besides the one the are giving me just to make more money. It is ridiculous that I have to sacrifice two in very good frontal teeth with replacements that do not look good.Initial Complaint

I received a call from the billing department at this dental organization due to an outstanding balance on my account. The representative asked me to verify my name, address, and date of birth in order to verify my identity as the correct patient account but then abruptly began calling me a man due to the quality of my voice and refused to speak to me. I provided ALL necessary information that was requested correctly and there is a recording of the phone call. Her exact words were something like you clearly are not ******* and are a man so I cannot speak to you regarding this account and suddenly hung up on me. Upon calling back she continued calling me *** and refused to help me, at which point I requested to speak to a manager who I was told was going to be in a meeting for ***** hours. I was assigned female at birth and simply have a deep voice, so the representative of the organization refused me service simply because of a protected quality (my sex) and her denial of my womanhood. I am a cisgender woman who has an unedited female birth certificate. This constitutes discrimination on the basis of my *** and my gender identity for simply being a woman with a deep voice.Initial Complaint

The employee at the ********* location in ********* Fl are extremely nasty and unprofessional. Each time we visit this location the employees at the front desk are unfriendly, uneducated and unprofessional. My daughter has missed school due to the lack of communication and professionalism. The Manager ******* also was unhelpful and rude for no reason when I called to express my concerns. My daughter was denied dental treatment due to the lack of patience to provide the needed insurance information. They are a bad reflection on the establishment.Initial Complaint

I was referred to a specialist by my primary dentist for an extraction. After I was seated in the dentist chair I was made aware that my insurance would not cover the extraction. The dentist took no x-rays and never looked in my mouth as I explained I could not afford $800 for an extraction. He gave me a referral to a prosthodontist. At check out, they tried to bill me $110, and commented they didnt know why my insurance wanted them to bill me $160. I explained i had no money as no one had made me aware of any fees when booking the appointment or upon arrival. Had I been aware of the fees prior to the appointment I would not have scheduled the appointment. nor driven 45 minutes to their office. When I received digital communication about the fee, I spoke to *** who would not remove the fees even though they broke protocol by not making me aware of the fees prior to taking me to the back office.Initial Complaint

**** mother had braces put on by great expression, well his mother die while his braces were still on. I'm the aunt with guardianship went to have the braces taken off. I was told that the account is in collection and have been for 3 years. I understand their balance that has to be paid. Here the problem they won't let me even make an appointment and is requesting the money be paid up front. Why can't the payment be made at the time of the appointments before he see the dentist. I feel that this is a civil right issue. Please help these braces need to come off
