Unnecessary work are done on patients with ***************** to increase profits on patients . They are willing to lie to insurance and patients stating that they need more work done when its either not necessary or it does not need to be done , they tend to not let patients know what work is going to be done and they are continuing to work this wayInitial Complaint

On 10/18/** I paid H3**335373435393**432H - ****** (**) $3878.90, out of pocket, for the following procedures: extraction of (4) teeth, (2) surgical implants, bone grafts at the site of the surgical implants, and 2nd Stage Implant Surgery for each implant (2nd Stage Implant Surgery was not completed on this day because the extractions/implant placement needed to heal for several months). An additional $669.51 was billed to my insurance company. On approximately 11/01/**, I notified the **** ************* that my leftside implant (#**) had come loose and had fH38333335383**63338H out. I returned to the office in mid - November and was told the implant site needed to heal and the periodontist could "try again". On February 7, I returned to the **** ************* and was told that I needed a bone graft before re-trying the implant. The bone graft was completed on that day. I was told to return in May to re-try the implant placement. In March I moved to ******* and contacted the H3**335373435393**432H in ************, who advised me that "credit" for the procedures I paid for in **** would need to be requested and approved through the Great Expressions corporate headquarters. **** Jacksonville stated they would submit a "ticket" for my care and "credit" to be transferred. At the end of March, 20**, I contacted the receptionist, ******* at *********** and advised him that I had moved to ******* and was working with **** Jacksonville to transfer my care/credit. **** stated he would talk to "*****", the office ******** and ask her to call me. I have called **** Dublin numerous times, on different dates, with no answer. I attempted to contact their office in-person on 05/20/24, at approximately 2 p.m., and found the door locked and lights off. I emailed officer ******** *************************, who advised she would submit "a ticket" to transfer my care. I have tried calling the corporate ************* phone number only to have a recording say they were not available.Initial Complaint

We paid over ******** (out of pocket) for implants and dentures in March of 2003. It is now July 2024 and still has no dentures. They have returned to the lab 6 times to be fixed. It take 5-6 weeks or more to come back each time and they still literally cannot get them to go in her mouth. We cannot get answers. They refuse to make new ones. Just keep adjusting the ones that never fit. They never answer the phones and never return Gmails. This company is poison. Avoid it at all costs. No corporate phone or email you call to complain is published (believe me, I looked) only the local office in *********** in who you can contact. She has lost weight, cries all the time over it. Has not been able to eat solid food for nearly 1.5 years. She cried at her family reunion last week in the bathroom because she was so embarrassed. You people **** and do not care at ALL about your patient responsibility or obligations. I would not have work on my goldfish. I hope you go out of business soon. Save a lot of people pain and suffering.Initial Complaint

I went for consultation to get treatment for braces, I signed to start treatment. I made a deposit of $200 to start treatment and the day when I was suppose to get my braces in, they were unable to because I had to get several work done by my dentist. So with all the expenses that I had with my dental work, I wasnt able to continue with treatment for my braces. I called and went in to tell them on March 4th that I was not going to get started with my braces and need to cancel everything, I made sure that all of this done before my monthly payments started but they kept on saying that I signed a contract which didnt make make sense to me because Im the one that wanted this treatment and if Im telling you that I no longer want and cant afford I should be penalized for a treatment that was never done. I spoke to a guy at their front desk named ******* and I believe the office manager named *****. I was told that an email was sent twice to their corporate office, one by ******* and another by *****. Why do I have to pay for something that I do not have and why is there no record of me not receiving treatment from them. No one I spoke to was helpful in any way. Now I have a $700 bill for what I dont know. I was only there for a free consultation, I have no braces on.Initial Complaint

To whom it may concern,I am writing to file a complaint against Great Expressions Dental Centers regarding an ongoing billing issue. My son was a patient at their office until he relocated out of state in December 2022. At that time, I visited their office to inform them of his departure and to cease the automatic payments as he would no longer be a patient there. Despite notifying them in person, I have recently received a bill dated for services supposedly rendered from 2/1/2023 to 02/01/2024, totaling $1529.91. Please note my son was no longer receiving any services from their office during the period and he was living in another state receiving services from another orthodontist. Upon receiving the bill the first time, I contacted their office and spoke with *******, who informed me that the reason for the billing was that the insurance company did not pay. Upon further investigation with my insurance company, I was informed that no claim had been submitted by the orthodontic office for the mentioned service dates.I contacted the office again and reiterated that they needed to submit a claim to the insurance company. In addition, I sent an email through their website seeking clarification and resolution, but I have not received any response to date. This billing discrepancy is causing undue stress, as I am being billed for services that were not provided to my son after he ceased being a patient at their office. Despite my efforts to communicate and resolve this matter directly with Great Expressions Dental Center , the issue persists.I kindly request the Better Business Bureau's assistance in investigating this matter and facilitating a resolution. I seek confirmation from Great Expressions Dental Centers that the erroneous bill will be retracted, and no further attempts to collect payment will be made for services that were not rendered.Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Tchietdza **********Initial Complaint

Visited the dental office for the 1st time and they did an excessive amount of xrays that were uncomfortable. Dentist informed me of excessive amount of work to be done and also I needed to see the periodontist. Made another appointment and when I arrived I was told that there's a ****** charge. I informed them that my dental insurance covers seeing the periodontist. They told me I was wrong. I left the office, called my insurance company and gave them the code that was provided. They said I was covered and sent an email to confirm. I went back to the dental office to tell them. They still did not believe and did not want to see the email. The office manager 1st said that I was covered, *** then said that she submitted it a 2nd time and I was not covered. I could see she was lying. The dentist and periodontist were both present and made several excuses. This dental office is a scam, by overbilling patients. They are liars also. I found another dentist who was very honest and did not do excessive xrays etc.I will be doing more complaints against this company.Initial Complaint

I got a deep teeth cleaning (periodontal scaling) on half my mouth at Great Expressions on ********************* in ****** on 12/14/2023. They charged me up front ****** as an estimate. When the Explanation of Benefits came, it showed I didn't owe anything. Great Expressions is in network with my ibsurance carrier Aetna, and clearly shows that I didn't owe anything and they were paid in full $554. It is now 7 months later and Great Expressions has yet to refund me. Instead they keep harrassing me with billing statements and refusing to credit my account. Due to their lack of professionalism or answering multiple calls from me to ask for a credit of the amount they charged me, I reversed the charge with my bank as I paid with a credit card. However Great Expressions got a copy of the *** and still has not acknowledged they owe me the money. They are still billing me for money they already received from my insurance and showing I owe the same $178 that they should have never charged and should have refunded. I have made at least 10 calls and they continue to bill me and via US mail and email. This business is corrupt and highly unprofessional. 7 months later and not one of my phone calls returned and they are still billing me. Ludicrous!! They are a joke.Initial Complaint

The office billed in May,2024 for a past date of service November,2023 that had been filed to insurance and paid upfront on that day. We have never had an outstanding balance and pay at date of service. I have made numerous calls to insurance and office to clarify the bill. In doing research it is determined that the office is coding the insurance for a services that they are not providing and getting denied by insurance and making up the cost with us. We are paying for service which is not done because it is not needed. That is the last explanation, among many, thatI have understood. They are charging us for peridontal disease cleanings when there is no evidense of it for my spouse and performing routine care. They are coding for the disease and not getting the return and we are making it up. I feel we have been billed incorrectly and have paid more than appropriate. We have discontinued our visits with this company and do not feel like we owe them more money. The billing is totally wrong.Initial Complaint

Daughter received braces in June 2021; I paid my portion of $2400. My insurance changed 6 months after the initial service and forwarded to Great Expressions. Their office filed late with my insurance so their claimed was denied for failure to sumbit in a timely manner. Now they want me to pay the balance for their mistakes. They have sent my account to collections. You aren't able to speak with anyone or get an email response.Initial Complaint

I went to this dentist to have my upper and lower dentures done in December, 2023. On April 8, 2024, I had my final fitting of the denture. The doctor made a lot of adjustments because it was hurting my gum until its bleeding. On the following day, I came back for another adjustments but the Dr. cannot make it right and gave up. He asked me to go to another dentist and he was willing to give back my money. The problem was his office made an insurance claim and needed to reverse as per my insurance so that I can proceed to transfer to another dentist. For the past two months, my wife and I had been requesting the office manager , *******, to submit a letter with their office logo telling that the denture was not done so my insurance company can go ahead and give me a go signal to look for another dentist. I was suffering a lot for not be able to eat right because I really needed a new denture. For the past two months , all I get from ****** are broken promises that she had sent a letter to my insurance that never received. I have requested my insurance to help me with this matter. My case is handled by *************** , supervisor in Aetna to help expedite the process- meaning receiving the corrective letter so we can go to another dentist. I have been suffering because of a simple letter that ******************** office manager , ******* , cannot or maybe not willing to do. I hope you can help me with this case. Thank you. ************************* - ***********.
