    Wonderful place for my daughter to have, I get paid on time every time. Just do your time worked on time, don't make mistakes and no worries. Thank you for the last 10years. Great service!

    If I could leave a ZERO I would. It I impossible to contact this company, which wouldnt be a problem if they didnt mess up and miscalculate nearly every single paycheck. I am either paid late or paid incorrectly nearly every pay period. I am owed back pay from months ago because they continue to fail to enact my pay raise. Im also owed a ton of cash from mileage they have failed to reimburse me for. Its bizarre and unfair. They play with peoples lives and livelihoods like they dont matter at all.

    I wish I could give this company ZERO stars. They contracted with the State of CT to be a fiscal intermediary to assure people who support our loved ones get paid according to labor laws. Furthermore, GTI is supposed to pay staff for PTO they EARNED. GTI does not provide a "how-to" manual to employees and employers for the payroll system. Instead, employees must contact them for assistance for every GTI error. Good luck getting through or getting a response to your question instead of a canned acknowledgement. GT Independence took a multi-million dollar contract and had months to roll out the system. That is CT taxpayers' dollars. GTI provided no training in the implementation phase. Their welcome session (online) was mostly dedicated to Holly Carmichael and her "accomplishments." Who cares about her? How do you use the payroll system??? They communicate only by email. They failed to assure that communications got to their stakeholders through other means like the US Mail. They do not respond to problems or questions. Instead, they immediately assume the employee did not use the app correctly. In fact, the app has many critical bugs rendering it extremely frustrating and inoperable. This company should pay more attention to the promises they made to the State of Connecticut instead of boasting about their expertise in self-directed services. Their poor performance in this area puts the lives of people who rely on support services at grave risk every day. The Legislature, OPM, DDS & DSS, you should have read the reviews before you committed the taxpayers' hard earned money to such a poorly performing company: https://www.yelp.com/biz/gt-independence-sturgis .     Went a whole month without being paid. Had hope for this month but now Im a day past due day for pay day and I still havent received anything. This company is a joke. They will have you sit on their terrible customer service line that takes 2 hours to talk to a human who will give you a lame excuse and never fully answer any questions. An absolute joke of a company.

    I do not recommend working with GT Independence. They are sloppy and unprofessional. I dread every time I have a problem with them because calling customer service means 1 - 2 hour hold times, even when you call them the minute they open. On June 7th, I was underpaid by over 21.75 hours. I called GTI and it took me 2 hours to get a call back from them. They initially told me that there was a problem with my budget and I needed to talk to my client's broker. They called back and said that after speaking with payroll, they determined that their payroll department made a mistake and that they would pay me the following Friday, even though they owed it to me on that day. They assured me I wouldn't have to wait two weeks when the next payment goes out. The following week, on June 14th, I did not receive the payment that I was owed as they had promised. On June 21st, they finally paid me for the 21.75 hours I worked from May 26th - June 8th but they only paid me for 12.5 hours of the 77 hours I worked for the pay period of June 9th - June 22nd. It was only after I and others on my team contacted them and urged them to correct their mistake did they pay me the rest of the payment. Withholding 21.75 hours of payment can ruin someone’s life. Withholding any payment is unacceptable. The 1 - 2 hour hold times are unacceptable. I am willing to change my perspective if they improve their business practices but as of right now, my opinion is that GTI does not provide the level of excellence, integrity and professionalism they claim to have. They are a poorly run, incompetent company.

    HORRIBLE! I am owed money from a caregiver that even approved my hours from GT Independence. They are not willing to help me at all. I have contacted the **** of ********************* and have been given contact information to file a complaint with the State of WI and have started the process of taking the lady I cared for AND GTI to court.

The decision regarding payment of hours is up to the employer, as GT Independence does not have the authority to approve hours worked which are not approved by the employer.     The agency is not well run. The agency staff have not been trained on DDS requirements, budgets, reimbursement for services, medical supplies and correct codes to use in system. Very difficult to reach a person or receive an accurate answer to a question. It has taken GTI over 8-10 weeks to do background checks on potential personal care assistants. Staff are not paid the correct amounts for shifts completed or not paid at all, Families have lost caregivers because people are not receiving payment for weeks. Staff are quitting for unpaid wages. In some instances, families are paying out of pocket to retain staff.Very sad as caregivers want to work and families need assistance caring for loved ones.

    If I could rate 0 for stars I would. Every time I have called I've been on hold for at least an hour with no resolve (I work and don't have extended time to be on hold). If I leave a message for a call back no one calls. I have sent multiple emails to to the customer service email and no one replies to them. It's been weeks. It's inexcusable. It's prevented me from being able to get staff started and prevented me from getting paid as a vendor. As a company started by a family with a special needs individual they should be ashamed at putting families through this.

    I dont comment usually but. I have good word to say about GT independence broker selmat, she is really helpful to my mom case, she answers calls when we have questions or concers, and she is on time when she visits, when we email she responds the same day, she is really good. I also want to shout out to GT independence, I have never have issue with the company . When I needed help or concern they will guide me what to do or communicate internally and give you a call. Thanks GT for your your service
