Were in the process of requesting a re-amortization. You have to either mail in or fax your request which is laughable in and of itself. When we try to call in to inquire about the status nearly a month later, we are told that that department has no phone number, no person/s of contact, no way to communicate other than through a generic email address. Furthermore, after speaking with a manager, they cannot, or will not, provide any documentation (other than their word) that your concerns are being addressed. So no way for customers or employees to communicate with this department and follow up on a request at all. Not only is this a mechanism to squeeze extra interest income out of people, but it is unethical and corrupt, third world practice. Its ridiculous that they can find a loan in less than 15 days, but cant even respond to a re-amortization request in less than 30.Flagstar Bank

Do not use Flagstar bank!!!!!! They will hold your money hostage when you are trying to close the account and keep giving reasons why you can't transfer your money to another bank!I repeat, save yourself some anxiety and don't use this bank!!!Flagstar Bank

I went into a Flagstar branch today in ******************* and asked to have them change a $50 bill for me. They told me they could not since I was not a customer at ********************. I then asked them could they change a five dollar bill into five singles and they gave me the same answer, which was no since I was not a customer. What are ridiculous bankFlagstar Bank

Your customers survice *****. All u do is keep transferring ** back and forth and not giving an answer. We sit on hold ever time we call for over an hour. Report Flag Star to the ***** The things this bank gets away with makes me sick. Around 2020/2021 I refinanced to get a lower rate like thousands Americans did. COVID was devastating but from a finical standpoint, if you had solid credit you could have saved thousands on your mortgage. I had amazing credit and had just secured a new job that raised my salary by over 30%. I don't go into major details but pretty much MANY banks including FS simply would not process applications. It soon became clear that FS was holding off on processing applications because they were hoping people would not quality. What I mean is let's say you apply the 1st of June and submit all your paper work. They would read out exactly 1 month later and ask for UPDATE paystubs. It was clear they were hoping people would loose their job and thus not qualify. Disgusting and predatory behavior but not at all surprising if you do some research on this bank; I they have been sued MANY times. After months of not being moved to underwriting I asked to speak to a superior and explained that its clear what they are doing, I said she needs to either tell me why my application has not moved or I am reporting them to the ***** She laughed in my face but guess what, my loan was approved and finalized that day. And the cherry on top? They gave me a lower rate than what they offered me originally. They did not make me happy I was furious. It proved they were initially holding on application (illegal) AND they were giving out APR rates that were higher than what some qualified for (super illegal). This was all over two years ago, during this time FS has now TWICE taken my escrow payments and NOT paid the insurance company which made them drop me. Each time I found out it was just by chance, a lucky accident. This second time around I actually decide to report them to ***** Anyone leaving a complaint at BBB please ALSO file a complaint with the ***************************************Flagstar Bank

They rip customers off in their escrow calculations by using a smaller amount than what is actually being paid to escrow from your payments. This of course comes out as a shortage and your payment keeps going up with each analysis. **************** doesnt help a bit and no recourse. Terrible mortgage lender stay awayFlagstar Bank

I send $700 on the 15th and $700 on the 30th to pay for the next month's mortgage payment. June 23rd I called because I received a statement saying my payment was about to counted as late if not received by the 16th of June. I would have been late calling on the 23rd but I knew I sent my payments early they are mistaken. The representative said my payments were held in suspense or applied incorrectly and she would fix it so my payments would reflect on time. I told her I paid May 15th and 30th for June 1st payment and they should be on time. She must not have paid attention to what I said because she took my June 15th payment and applied that to June 1st when that payment was meant for July 1st. She also told me to call my payments in because when I send in partial payments the system doesn't know how to apply them.I called June 29th to make the 2nd half of my July 1st payment. And told the representative to apply my June 15th and June 29th payment for July 1st mortgage payment. She says that June 15th was applied to June 1st. I said that is incorrect. Then she researches and sees a Feb 2023 payment applied to principal only. I said that is incorrect I don't make that large of principal only payments. My mortgage payment is $1359.60 and I send $1400, so the $40 is the principal only payment and can she reverse that Feb principal only payment. She said she can not because it's past 90 days. I said I didn't send that payment for that. And I asked for research and she escalates the call. The manager went thru the payments again and we came to the same conclusion that Flagstar applied my Feb payment to the principal. I again asked for it to be reversed and applied correctly because when I called June 23rd the last rep could have seen that and reversed and apply it correctly. He rejected my request. I told him my payments are on risk for being late if it is received after the 16th of the month. My payments reflect behind instead of ahead and I request it to be fixed.Flagstar Bank

My mortgage loan was transferred to Flagstar bank and it has been terrible ever since. Their web portal did not allow me to change my checking account information and after three failed attempts at them trying to pull from a closed account they blocked my account from using ACH payments and require me to mail them money orders every single month. I've paid for and mailed two separate checks now to two different addresses that they have provided. Last one took almost two weeks to post (and they added a late fee too). This month I've sent out two separate ones and both have not been cashed in yet. They also added a late fee again and are now saying if its not posted by end of the money (next week) that it will be reported on my credit report. They don't care if I have evidence of good faith attempts. They will not accept any other form of payment, not even a wire transfer. Every rep I've spoken to has essentially not cared or gaslit me into saying this was avoidable or all my fault. I've never been delinquent on any of my obligations, but Flagstar is willing to charge me late fees, make an injured person try and walk into a ************* multiple times to pay several money order fees monthly, and ruin my financial future when all they had to do was let me pay via ACH.And before a rep ********* telling me to call them at their general line, anyone else reading this be aware that I've already been calling at least twice a month desperately trying to get any other help or status updates. None of the reps can help. All they say is "You are at the mercy of the postal services". Unless they provide me a direct line to someone who actually cares, their comments are just for PR. They have caused so much stress for my family for someone who has the funds and is spending several hours a month just paying my mortgage bill. I have saved all my timestamps and chatlogs for if Flagstar tries to foreclose on my home.Flagstar Bank

Flagstar bought our mortgage and there have been issues ever since. The customer service is terrible, they keep sending us notices that we owe them additional funds separate from our principle or interest. We have had our mortgage payment increase for no apparent reason and when I try calling them, if I even get through, they dont have a sufficient reason. I think theyre just trying to scam ** for more money hoping we wont notice. I would NEVER choose flagstar as a mortgage lender and now Im just hoping they seek it to someone else.Flagstar Bank

I have banked with Flagstar locally and with a Credit Card since they bought my account out from ***** Fargo in ********. I have paid all bills on time until now. I started getting strange text messages form a company trying to get me to log into a website that had nothing to do with Flagstar and ignored them as spam. I got a letter today from *************** not Flagstar and they said my Flagstar Credit Card is behind and they reported it to the credit bureau, I have worked extremely hard to get good credit for the first time in my life and if Flagstar wanted to get a hold of me, they should do it under the name of Flagstar, not a third party I have never heard of. My credit is now hurt over a $30 payment and a $64 balance I could not log into to because of being locked out of my Flagstar account by ****. I have closed all my accounts with Flagstar. The word Flagstar never appeared on ANY correspondence from this ************ and everything looked like a scam so I ignored it. Flagstar has lost a loyal customer today, three accounts, Credit *********************** and wouldn't even accept responsibility, apologize, or offer to repair the damage to my credit report.Flagstar Bank
