1 starWish I could leave zero stars. BEWARE. We ordered a sectional in the ********** store. When it arrived it looked off from what we ordered and was smaller than what we measured. After having it in the home for a short time we realized the wrong chaise was sent. Called the store and the salesperson apologized and admitted he had ordered the wrong one. He said to keep it and the correct one would be ordered and delivered and the mistake would be picked up. About a week later he leaves me a voicemail that said their corporate office denied it even though they admitted it was their mistake. Called a few times and was given the run around. Will never purchase from their company again. Terrible customer service when they even admitted their mistake.Review fromSandra F

1 starWe spent over $4000 on a mattress that is a dud. It is uncomfortable; the slides are sloping so that my husband and I keep almost falling off the bed at night when we are trying to get to sleep. Most nights one or both of us wind up moving to our recliners to try to sleep. They refuse to honor their 180 day return policy. There never seems to be a manager at the store who can talk with us about the problem. Every time we think we are getting somewhere they give us another hoop to jump through. First we were told we had to pay $199 for somebody to come to our house to inspect the mattress. When we tried to set that up we were told we were "too far" away and they would do it via a Zoom call. Then we were told our tags were missing from the mattress...? What tags? They claim they have pictures of our mattress with the tags from when they delivered it - but they refuse to show ** the pictures. All in all we are disgusted and will NEVER shop their again.Review fromLisa H

1 starI went to Gardner White to buy some furniture. I purchased some furniture had it home for one day short of three weeks. I was not happy with the furniture. I had time to look it over. It is very poor quality. Its like they put material over wood. So I called and spoke to the lady that answered the phone and I just asked her what their policy was. She said after seven days you can no longer return it I said, even if I was to get better quality furniture, she said yes, that was gardeners Whites policy after seven days you could no longer return items, I asked her could I speak to someone else a manager or someone and she said everyone will tell you the same that is Gardner whites policy. So I then said to her well, I will call the finance people that finance the furniture then if I cant get no help from you , she yelled at me and said so youre disputing it? And I said yes I am and she hung up on me. She never said another word she just hung up so I then called the finance company who is financing it and I told them the same thing, and we are disputing the sale , but in the meantime, they say give them up to ***************************************************** know what happens. My thing is by that time it would be well over time of returning and that would be their excuse Im afraid so if theres something that you can do to help me out with this, I would appreciate it , thank you so much. I just think that Gardner White needs to let people know when theyre buying something that you only have the seven days if thats their policy and I think the furniture should be better quality for the price theyre selling it at.Review fromClaudia P

1 starMattress scam !We bought a mattress plus base fir $***** . When we wanted to upgrade to split mattress with different adjustable base - same size and grade they told us we need to spent $3000 extra fur restocking fee plus difference in price plus base plus other overpriced covers .The initial base is not returnable . Their ********** do not mentioned this at all and the conditions are all over a folder cover in small print . Can you imagine paying $6,000 for a bed and been treated unreasonably? 1 starWish I could give a ZERO. Gardner White has horrible ***************** Weve made previous purchases from GW over the years but will never buy from them again. In December 2022 bought 2 ********* sofas spending $4200. Cushions on both immediately started wrinkling and looking worn. Also cushions pitch forward, always feel like well end up on the floor. Went to ****** store, service was scheduled. On day of visit Tech said he was ordering new cushions for both. We were away for a few months and had service in late March. Only had 1 set of cushions. Tech was ordering one set. The replacement cushions immediately began wearing and sitting the same way. Made numerous trips to ****** store with photos and asked for assistance to Reselect. GW Service Tech was here last week and told me the sofas are going to wear prematurely and will need to be replaced in a couple of years. Of course he didnt include that in his written report. May 27, 2023 I was denied the request to Reselect and told there is nothing wrong with the sofas. The cushions for the other sofa will be delivered next week. Unfortunately that wont resolve the problem. Im going to contact my credit card company to see if we have any recourse. We want these sofas out of our home and a full refund. 1 starHorrible service. Was supposed to deliver in the driveway. Delivered on the porch breaking two bricks and cracking three others. When I called to make a claim I was told they would not cover the claim and that my porch was deteriorating from the pictures sent. If it is visible from pictures, it would be visible to the delivery driver and therefore should have never hauled an 80 lb dresser on a deteriorating porch. Then they claimed it was preexisting when I followed up. Stasia and Ramone were no help and Jeff Wright is incompetent.Review fromJames T

1 starWe bought a mattress from Gardner White (Feb 23). We were probably not the least difficult customers they've ever had - 2 different visits and we tried at least 20 different mattresses - but the sales people were still pretty responsive. However, at no time did we think we were dealing with a firm where honesty and fair dealings were primary concerns. This has more to do with Gardner White policy rather than with the sales people. Several things stick out.They would deliver the new mattress and cart away the old ONLY if the old mattress was spotless. This last part didn't come out till the very end. (Ours was, not an issue for us, but I believe we were exceptions, rather than the rule.) The mattress was returnable but only if we bought one of their $35 (Amazon) mattress covers for $120. The fact that the mattress was returnable was on prominent signs all over the place but the fact that you had to buy the mattress cover, again, only came out at the end. There was a $300 promotion but they refused to take this off the total and only made it available through a somewhat intricate system of requesting 3 separate, time-limited $100 credit cards over the internet. Most people will find it almost impossible to get the full $300 back.We made delivery easy. Good thing. I would not have trusted the delivery people that showed up to successfully complete a difficult delivery.Review fromjames c

1 starOn 3/2/23, my wife and myself went to this gardner white in nove looking for a dining room table. We found one we liked, but they were totally out of stock at every store and offered the floor model. Upon inspection and find **************** in excellent condition, be bought it and paid for delivery and set up totally $1008.99. The set was delivered on 3/4/23, but the set up men drove the screws to the pedistal into the table to hard and it cracked the marble and destroy all the material under the marble. Also two chairs were delivered with totally broken back spindals, like right in half. We called Novi store with the complaint and they picked up the set that evening. After waiting 6 weeks and no refund on our credit card, I called the store. They told me they will only refund me $847 as there was a restocking fee. I said, you guys screwed up the table and why should i pay for you to pick up your damaged good. Was told it was store policy and would not budge thus charging me $147.00 on my card. Of course i am contesting the charge with my credit card company and waiting for final dispostion. Last resort, will go to small claims. Totally unprofessional and would never buy another piece of furniture from them again as I have bought from that company many times in the pastReview fromAdam L

1 starI have had one of the worst experiences with both a product and customer service and it was with *********************************************. AVOID GARDNER WHITE unless you are ok with low quality, terrible customer service, and PAYING a 25% RESTOCKING fee even if the product is absolutely unacceptable. We were scammed. The product in the showroom was decent quality but the product that was delivered, a sofa and loveseat, were bad. The cushions were uncomfortable like cheap foam and the fabric was separating in multiple places. The frame of the couch was creaking and we are not overweight people. They DO NOT disclose the 25% restocking fee on any of the paperwork. BE AWARE, Gardner White will keep 1/4 of your money when you are not ok with their low quality product. Other competitors like VALUE CITY ONLY CHARGE up to a 15% restocking fee. I spoke with ******* at their corporate customer service number who was supposedly a manager but she failed to provide any resolution or at least a lower percentage to restock given the terrible product.Review fromKahrizmah S

1 starI ordered a bed frame from here. When the first bed frame was delivered it was put up properly, the delivery drivers came back to fix it and notified me of pieces that where missing. The next day a new set of delivery drivers brought back the pieces. While putting up the bed they noticed that the pieces in the middle where broken, I got a new set delivered the set was so cheap and flimsy looks like a $100 set from Amazon that I was charged $500 almost 6 for. I asked for the bed to be picked back up only to be told I have to pay $124 to do so. Which was never disclosed to me in the begging. I am done with grander white I will never use their service again. I could see if I had the bed a whole 24 hours and I have not. Within a 4 day time period I have not been able to sleep on the bed I purchased because of their over prices cheap furniture. I will no longer do business with them
