I want to give a shout out to ******** Good and ******* B for solving our crisis this morning. We own a 2022 **** ****** purchased thru General RV at ***** show, our sales representative extraordinaire ******** Good! Thanking God I saved her phone number!! This morning, while trying to leave our campsite in ************** to get home to Stuart ******* before hurricane ****** hit our rear jacks would not come up! I searched in my phone for a contact for General RV and wound up calling ******** who answered bright and early on a Sunday morning very happy to help. My husband and I explained our situation and ******** jumped into action, reaching out to her support people, *******, B! ******** and ******* provided multiple fixes to our problem and voila, up went are Jacks!With all the negative things that people say I think its really important when others go above and beyond their job descriptions to help a customer with a problem. If youre in the market for an RV we highly recommend ******** Good at General RV!General RV Center

THEY SELL RVs, THEY DO NOT SERVICE THEM. Think about that long and hard before you buy anything!General RV's Service has so many bad reviews, they have a stock reply for BBB complaints. This is not surprising. If you bring an RV for service, you can expect it will not happen in a timely manner, (if at all), you will never get phone calls returned, regardless of how many calls, texts, emails, and personal appearances you make. You can demand to speak to a live person, have them paged and you will get empty promises, but no results. You can escalate issues to managers (more empty promises, if you can get anyone).General RV has made an artform of avoiding interactions with frustrated customers. They just pretend you don't ********* can't even get warranty work done because the "approval" process is so inefficient. The typical response is that they are waiting for approval from the warranty department. However, if you actually call the manufacturer to question what the holdup is, you will find that your warranty has not been submitted by General RV. Therefore, you don't stand a chance of actually getting anything resolved.I firmly believe that BBB should strip General RV of any accreditation is there is any integrity left to ************************* for yourself the dozens of ongoing complaints. If you are used to really getting things done, prepare to fail because NO ONE at General RV gets anything done, they just talk about it.They should not get a Star in their rating!General RV Center

My husband and I visited the Ft. ******************** location yesterday to look at a Winnebago Motorhome. The Sales Representative was great! However the Sales Manager ****** was rude. He was using strong arm tactics to get us to leave a credit card on file. We wont be going back and will not recommend this business location.General RV Center

We purchased a new, 2022 Entegra Ethos ** last year. It has spent so much time in the shop, we only have 6000 miles on it. We specifically purchased this model with plans of boondocking but I have had the unit in to service multiple times because the battery doesn't charge from shore power, nor from running, nor from solar panels. I have taken multiple pictures documenting the problems and the displays from various components. Every time we are told it is fixed it is not. This past weekend we boondocked at ********************** and after a 4 hour drive and super sunny days, the battery died in 16 hours and failed to charge from solar. I can't believe I'm saying this bit, we actually had better service from Camping World and they are pretty awful.General RV Center

In November 2022, we purchased a 23 Rove Lite BH. Our Service Advisor was ****** ******. We dropped our camper off for warranty repairs on 10/26/23 (coverage expired 11/21/23) and ended up picking it back up without the repairs the beginning of November because *** was still waiting on approvals and had no idea how long it would take. Repairs still have not been completed as of today and I cannot get a response from our advisor. I've called and sent numerous emails to our Service Advisor with the last email on 7/9/2024 (almost a full YEAR from our original claim). In the email I stated "Just emailing another time. I have to say, this is the worst customer service we have ever had." And once again, no response. I really just want everyone to know how terrible our experience was. It's all sunshine and rainbows up to the bill of sale. After they have your money, forget it. And good luck getting any warranty repairs completed ****** a business owner myself, we would NEVER treat a customer (or anyone else) this way.General RV Center

I am disappointed with this company. I put a large down payment on a trailer camper and could not get my money back when deciding I did not want it within a few hours . And they didnt even have that camper on site . Sales person said I could get my down payment back then the manager said they dont give refunds. This was all in a less the 24 hours .General RV Center

We visited General RV Center in *******, ** on August 13th. We were interested in a particular used motorhome that was advertised online. The motorhome was marked sold so the salesman showed us a couple of others. We liked one particular 2024 model that they were trying to move off the lot. The problems started when we began the bargaining process. The salesman presented sales figures written in magic marker on a piece of paper. When we discovered the price after prep fees and transport fees (totaling almost $8,000) we said no. Then the bargaining started, but then they wouldn't continue or give us the "best deal" without a credit card in hand. We provided the credit card and they finally came up with a payment we felt we could handle. We authorized a $500 deposit. When we met with the financial person, he gave us a credit card slip to sign for the deposit. Stamped in red was wording saying the deposit was non-refundable. Unfortunately, unaware that Virginia law states that deposits must be refunded if a purchase is canceled, and this was General **'s way of circumventing the law, we signed. After sleeping on it, we decided to cancel the sale. We did not have possession of the ** yet and it was less than 24 hours when we notified them we were canceling the sale. I learned about the Virginia law later that day and emailed asking for the deposit back, citing the Virginia law. They would not refund the deposit. I have had a great experience with General RV. in *******. From making my purchase to recently when I had to get some warranty work. I got there early for my appointment and was able to sit and watch as their team went over the units that were there.When it came to my turn, ************************* and another service advisor listened to my concerns and wrote everything up as well as labeled the stops with easily observable blue tape for the technician.My repairs were done quickly. Nobody wants to have to get repairs done but they happen and with the team at General RV it was done quickly, professionally and with minimal stress to me. Good Job!General RV Center

Went to General rv back.in may and was looking a newer trl found one that we liked online they got it in called and said it had real bad water damage so they found a replacement went to look at it and was questioning the floor a few spot felt soft the next day went back to finalize everything told the manager about it he said that is how the floor is made so it sat for two months we finally went camping with it wife sat on the toilet and went to get up almost fell on the floor cause the toilet can with her found the floor was rotted underneath the toiletGeneral RV Center
