If I could give negative stars, I would. My wife and I went in to shop for our first camper. We were shown several units and one caught our eye. We asked for a quote. We were given the quote, but we needed to do more research on the weight limits for our vehicle. We were told by the manager that we HAD to make a $500 deposit to keep the quoted price.Apprehensive about the situation, we asked what would happen to the "non-refundable" deposit if we found we couldn't tow the camper and needed to look at some thing else. We were told the deposit could be applied to another unit. We asked, if we could not find a camper at General RV, could we get a store credit. We were told by the manager, with very little surety, "yeah, you know, we'll figure it out..."We ended up finding an acceptable unit elsewhere and asked General RV if we could apply the deposit to a new back-up camera and I would pay the balance. They said no, and told us we forfeit the deposit unless we buy a new unit within 12 months. This is totally unacceptable and absolutely no way to do business. Sell me a product, don't use underhanded sales tactics to rob me.Beware of shopping with General RV, they will pressure you into a $500 non-refundable deposit for something you are unsure about.Neither Camping World or Tradewinds did anything like this at any point to save your quote. So disgusted.General RV Center

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I will never go to General RV again nor will I recommend them to anyone that I know.I spent A LOT of money on trailer from General RV and had issues from the moment I drove it home.1. The awning would go out, but not come in. I took it into the service center, they changed out the motor and sent me home. It worked once after that, but was super slow coming back in and when I went to use it a 2nd time it got stuck out and wouldn't retract back in. I get that my warranty is up, but this was fixed under my warranty and should probably work more than 1 1/2 times before breaking.2. General RV replaced the fan in the bathroom under warranty. However, now it is leaking. Why should I be responsible for this when I feel there is an issue with the work done and that is why it is leaking.3. Had a toilet leak the last week of my warranty period and unfortunately I was on vacation in ********** when the issue happened. When I came back they told me first that they couldn't recreate the issue and then made me pay for their time. Well I got my trailer home and within 5 minutes of filling the tank, the issue started. This cost me and my dad time plus a brand new toilet to fix an issue they should have fixed in the first place.I understand there are warranties for a reason, but if the issue isn't completely resolved when I take it in while it's covered by the warranty then it should be fixed correctly. I feel that they do this so that we are forced to go back after the warranty to have the same things fixed over again but they get their money the 2nd time.I ended up recommending my parents to General RV thinking I had such a great sales experience with them, but guess what, they are having the same issues with their brand new RV as well. General RV doesn't seem to care about their customers after they sell the lemons to them.General RV Center

The main issues stem from products they sold and installed, after I told them some of the things I wanted to do with the camper after I purchased it. Since I was coming in from out of state, they pushed pretty hard for me to let them do all of it, prior to pickup. I told them my plans, including sizes and even weights of the **s I was getting, the truck I was pulling the camper with, etc etc.First, I got a camera system, which does not work due it being a 21+ GM, which requires a power adapter they said nothing about. Also on the camera system, newer trucks do not come with a cigarette lighter port and the only way to power the monitor is by using this type of port. Hello, 1985??? The tech who did the install said he had never seen something like this, but somehow knew of an adapter that I could buy on Amazon. This adapter, by the way, did not work as it did not allow enough power to the unit.Next was 2 ** mounts, neither of which work. One needs an adapter, which is mentioned both in the instructions and the company website. The other one does not allow enough vertical space to drop the ** into the mount. A simple math mistake, but still, basic stuff that a tech should know easily.I have spoken, at length, to the dealer about these issues and their only response is to tow the ** back to them. Ummm, I am out state and they told me they did these types of deals all the time. They did tell me they would pay for a camping site if I came up there, but said nothing of what I would camp in, since they would have my camper. Yes, they actually suggested this as a solution. Essentially, the parts and service department are pretty bad and way less experienced than I was led to believe. The dealer is large and very nice looking on the outside and I allowed this to kind of "woo" me in and assume they knew what they are doing. Don't do what I did.General RV Center

We are sorry to hear about this customer's experience with our store. This customer has been in contact with our team already. We'd like to clarify that the parts ordered and installed for this customer were based on the specifications the customer provided to us directly, all of which he inspected, tested, and approved on the day of delivery. As a courtesy, we sent you a larger mount at no cost to him. Please understand that our team has gone above and beyond to provide the customer with excellent service and we're beyond disappointed to hear that this customer has labeled their experience as unsatisfactory.Review frompatrick c

I purchased a Fleetwood Discovery from General RV. Their service department is non responsive to service phone calls. I have complained to several levels of the management team and while they responded well and got the job done their influence did not last. It is back to the same old dodge the customer routine. Almost every attempt of gaining the attention of ****** in service takes the same amount effort on my part. Unless I drive to ***** and stand by his desk I cannot get an appointment. Once I get his attention everything is fine until the next Issue. My coach is currently unusable because of a failed transfer switch. I have made several attempts to no avail. I have been successful at *************. However, I believe that General RV has a implicit contract to provide service on my rig when required. If they do not work on that particular issue then tell me who does,The response I require is to assign me to another Service adviser.General RV Center

The experience has and continues to be HORRIBLE! We bought a 2022 ************************* took a trip and the power jacks failed, the awning sustained damage as well. The top notch COACH-NET service I paid for was not able to send a repair agent to us for the duration of the trip to ******** we live in **. *** assisted us with securing our trailer. We got back and connected with the service agent, we dropped off our trailer as it was still under the Winnebago warranty- we did not have it for a year as yet. I contacted my insurance company who funded the repair for the awning. It has been 9 months our trailer has been at this site waiting for repairs, the service person changed three times. Unless I reach out I received no updates or responses. I was told the original job performed on the jacks was not done correctly and new parts needed to ordered and installed. I was told the leaks from the sink was an oversight on my part, as we are suppose to check all connections as the screws loosen as we travel. This is POOR SERVICE. We are prepared to walk away from this trailer. They are attempting to charge me $900, and asking for another $200 for the awning- I alerted my insurance company for resolution of this. My only regret is not going back to *********** where we bought our first trailer from. When we attend the annual RV show in ******* this year, I will not be silent. The stories here are news worthy. What a shame for this scam.General RV Center

We purchases 2022 Landmark from General RV in ************* in April of 2022 and have had nothing but issues with the "Elite fifthwheel. We purchased this highend coach to be able to live in full time between ******* and our home state of ********* and traveling here and there in between. Upon picking this coach up we noticed issues and General RV said to bring it to them in the fall when we head there for the winter, after a week of living out of suitcases and eating out and wasn't done by the day they said it would and none of the big issues were fixed. We made arrangements to bring it back the following spring on our way back to ********* for another week in a hotel and still none of the big items were done, they always used the excuse of no parts. On our way home the under sheeting of the whole front end on both sides started coming loose and flapping in the wind, sent a photo and e-mail and phone calls that they never got back to me on. Sent a e-mail to everyone I could get the addresses to stating we needed to do something as we had to temporarily fix to get home but needed to know what to do as we had other plans to go places. Finally after mass e-mail we were told to get if fixed enough to travel and they would fix in the fall with the whole original list. Talked to a guy out of ******* from the factory and they sent all the needed parts but after a week in a hotel still nothing big fixed and no body work done. All this time could not get anyone to call me back or e-mail and that is why I resorted to going to the factory. **************** here is the worse I has ever experienced before and will do no more business with them ever again and encourage others the same. We dropped our coach off in ******* on the way back to ********* even though hundreds of miles out of our way to get it fixed properly and have been living out of a suitcase for over a month and I am at at ********. I wish we could get a refund to start over .What a nightmare and still not over.General RV Center

Who buys a BRAND NEW R V then once home and preparing to take it out discover ''5'' defects and 2 of those major. Door does not close and lock making it impossible to safely drive the unit and then lighting/electrical problems, broken cabinet and more. then the worst part is they require 5 that's FIVE weeks to address the issues! Meaning a delay of over a month to be able to get it out! Now I call for a status and service takes a message!!!!! If I could I'd take my money back, big chance of that.General RV Center

My husband and I will never buy another rv from this company. We bought a 2022 Keysone Avalanche 338GK in January of 2021. The Sales and ****************** were very accommodating until the contract was signed. My husband and I bought all of the extended warranties to cover both the inside and the outside of our rv. At the time of purchase, we asked repeatedly if everything was covered "bumper to bumper" and were assured it was. That was a lie right then and there that we learned when our original warranty expired. After the first time taking our rv camping, we noticed water coming from under the refrigerator (enough that we had to wring out towels). We made an appointment to bring our rv in for repair to fix the refrigerator and a few other minor repairs.! Our service tech, ***** informed us that we would have to contact Keystone regarding the refrigerator because General RV did not do any repairs to the refrigerators. We did contact Keystone and they stated that General RV needed to determine if it was an actual refrigerator issue or water line. We brought our rv back in again and General RV said they could not find any water leaking. The floor under the refrigerator started getting soft and we were not getting anywhere with General RV so we took matters into our own hands and looked at it ourself. We found that ****************** was installed backwards which was causing the leak when the ice maker was on. A $2.00 part caused all the damage to our flooring. There were many more issues with this company and service that I could mention but there is not enough space on this review. We would just like to say "BUYER BEWARE" when dealing with this company.General RV Center
