      Awful experience and treatment at this dealership. This is now the 2nd failed purchase I have had, where the dealership has gone with another in person buyer, even though I paid a non-refundable deposit and was told the unit was mine. They have zero care for online customers, and purposefully accepted a sale when I was told 15 minutes earlier that the unit I purchased was in-deed mine. The business practices of this dealership are awful and I will never use them again.

      Good morning. Bought an RV was told had 2 weeks to decide if wanted to keep it and get the $5,000 deposit but when just the next day went to cancel the purchase they are giving us the run around. Need to know what to do.

      When buying ******, we were very excited and bought a new one so that we would have a warranty. The unit was missing a solar controller when we did our walk-through. The company promised in writing they would supply the controller and also assemble it into the ** free of charge. General ** employees promised the parts would be in within two weeks. The service center could not get approval from management to order the part. Calls were ignored, and it was hard to talk to service people. The signed paper was supplied, and still, nothing happened. It has been three months, and they still have not fixed the issue. We also had a damaged clip and emblem (About $30). Finally, after two months, they got these parts in, but when picking them up, we were treated like we were bothering the employees. In addition, on the first trip with ******, the hot water tank did not work. (Same week bought) We were told they would have to charge us at least $250 to look at the hot water tank. My husband was able to fix the issue by just replacing the heating element. Buyer beware: the upfront deal is good, but the service department is worthless.

      Buyer beware I bought a new fifth wheel in Dec. 2021 and general rv installed a 3rd ac in the garage of the fifth wheel , 2 1/2 years later and my roof by the a/c they install had soft spots. Did not have anything or anywhere else on my roof that had any issue. Went to General rv and spoke to *************************** about my issue. He refused any help because I had it fixed by an outside source because everyone I talked to said don't take it there for repairs because of the poor reviews and service. Even the service mgr. with ************ recommended Campers World ilo General Rv ***********. I didn't ask him to pay for the complete repair but to just participate in the cost because of there poor installation which caused a premature failure on my roof. I would say there are better dealers out there that would take responsibility for their poor workmanship. Do your homework because apparently, I did not. Second rate dealer in my opinion.

Our workmanship guarantee for repairs is three months. This installation was done almost three years ago, based on repair records. General RV nor ************ are willing to participate in the repair cost at this time.

      I purchased a travel trailer approximately 5 years ago from General RV. They were close to my home and had a large assortment of trailers as well as a service center on site. I thought it would be great that I would have a service center near by when needed. From the beginning I experienced terrible service. They were supposed to deliver the trailer ready for travel that summer season. When I got to my destination I found they never filled and tested the hot water system. This mistake resulted in the hot water heating element burning out which had to be replaced. They did honor the warranty and replaced the heating element but when I tried to use them for future service needs it was always a disaster. In most cases they not only failed to repair what I brought it in for but caused additional damage to the trailer that I had to deal with. I now do all my own maintenance & repair. However, I cannot even pruchase parts from General RV in that even though I give them the correct Make, Model, ************ numbers they cannot find the parts I request. I have never experienced a more incompentent company.

      Worst service experience I have ever encounter in my entire life!!! DO NOT purchase an RV from General RV of Wixom, MI. During walk through it was noted something was broken. Part was to be ordered (Never was). Drove RV home and all kinds of wires fell by brake pedal (the dash panel to be reattached and wires wore to be taken care of per the salesperson when pointed out when first looking at unite on lot). 2 weeks after having unite took back in for a number of issues. Now 2 months old have water leak from roof, Back in shop (could be from when they mounted solar panel on roof). 1 week later service rep stated parts are in and when I asked about finding the leak I was told did not even look into it yet. They don't know when they will get to looking at RV even after having a specific scheduled appointment time. During this time we have had a number of days of rain (so what is that doing to the inside of the walls!!!). Extremely disappointed/dissatisfied customer!UPDATE: Most recent and ongoing dealings with General RV service department. Going on the middle of the third week since our scheduled appointment to find the water leak on our new motorhome and they still have not done anything with our RV. Service representative does not know when they will get to it. I cannot emphasize enough the discouragement from spending six figures on something and having this kind of frustration. Also, back to the owner who made a response to communicate with management, which I believe to be not authentic we have worked with a couple of the managers at the Wixom, MI location. One response from a manager to my wife was (what do you want me to do about it, I have 150 units on my lot I have to deal with).Again, I can't say it or print it loud enough...find a different dealership so you may enjoy your new adventures because our adventure has and still is nothing short of a nightmare!!!

      In February we purchased a new 2022 Astoria **** RLP from General RV. This is a fifth wheel trailer like we had never owned. Everything was great, until after we signed the papers. it was like no one wanted to help us. Someone was supposed to have helped us hook it up. I waited for 20 minutes to and had to go find someone.During the first trip, the first shower, the shower didn't drain properly. The service department told us we had caused the clog and warranty wouldn't cover it. We had to pay for the repair out of pocket. The manufacturer ,Keystone, was no help either.We have owned and purchased new rv's for 20 years this has been the worst experience ever.DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. AS SOON AS YOU SIGN THE PAPERS ,THEY DONT CARE ANYMORE.

      I've had a floor and fridge issue since I purchased my 2022 ************ solitude 390 rk. I've spoken with service advisors, service mgr, sales mgr, GM and still not fixed. Now that I'm out of warranty, they want me to claim it on my extended warranty and me to pay the deductible.No thanks Give me back my money and call it a day

      *********** ***************** was great!!! The finance guy was good. The receptionist ladies were very helpful!! The back area where the new 2023 Rv Thor sanctuary was prepared for pick up leaves room for improvement.. My back window screen that was suppose to be repaired was given to me torn. The man explaining all the items on the ** did not come back to explain the poles on the **. There must be some way for me to be able to pull down the sleep area on top of the **. I am physically not able to do it.. The explained solution was to have somebody help me. Not really a solution in my book.. On my way home the needs service light came on about 10 miles from my homeThe back area that preps the ** to be taken by the owners should do it the day before pickup so they are not rushed and can be more detailed. My particular ** had 6 days for the prep and they were still doing things with it at 5:00 pm the day of pickup.. Maybe the for. Screen would have been fixed and not overlooked if not in a hurry..

      We purchased a brand new camper at the end of February 2020, a 2020 ************ 2970RL, from General RV (which is an authorized ************ dealer) in ******* ********. The camper sold to ** came with one factory installed ** unit and the other ** unit (front) was installed by General RV as an option. This occurred prior to us taking delivery of the camper. The ** unit at the front of the camper was installed incorrectly by General RV which resulted in a soft spot on our roof. This issue was identified because an authorized ************ inspector inspected the roof and he immediately noticed that there was dicore caulking around the ** unit and immediately said "that is a no no" and he looked at my husband and said "the ** unit was NOT installed correctly (dicore was never supposed to be installed around the foam gasket which holds moisture in) and this is what caused the soft spot". The inspector also said "the soft spot issue is something that has been going on since day one, when the ** unit was installed and it did not happen overnight". This issue is clearly due to the incorrect installation of the front ** by General RV in ******* ********. We called General RV several times (because they were not returning our calls) and asked to talk to a manager about this issue expecting them to take responsibility to pay for the repair of our roof and correctly install the **. The Operations Manager, ************************* finally called us back and he said they will not pay for the repair of the soft roof. He said even though the inspector report states the unit was installed incorrectly (which caused the soft spot) he said we are not paying for it. We feel General RV absolutely needs to make this right at no cost to us. We will never buy another camper nor recommend anyone to buy anything from General RV!

      We are sorry to hear about this customer's RV'ing experience. The ** installation was done in February of ************************************************ July of 2023, over three years from when this work was completed. In a three year span numerous factors can cause soft spots in the roof. The most common factor is lack of routine maintenance being completed. We have offered to bring the customer back in so we can inspect and diagnose the roof, but the customer has declined as we won't be covering the cost.
