Terrible Product and worse Customer Service!When I built a first class house, I thought I was buying the best possible windows for it. Obviously I was mistaken I think the whole batch that went into my house was defective and that's why the first rep. replaced some even though they were technically out of warranty. I think they will all rot out eventually Im concerned about consequential damage to the area surrounding the windows so please act ASAP. I paid for the replacements in full 4-6 months ago. Thank you for your help with this very ridiculous and unacceptable product. My lodge is exposed to countless people annually and receives rave reviews. Henceforth I will always warn them about ******** windows. FYI Ive found more rotten windows since they were there 4-6 months ago.Also over a year ago, I photographed and meticulously measured rotten windows precisely to your phone rep. *** Im told they are the wrong size and you wont take them back even though I know they would fit some other suckers house. The product was ok. A pricey for what it was. The service was awful. From their start date to completion date, it took 4 months. A constant barrage of problems. They told me it would take 1 day to complete it took them 4 appointments. Something was always broken or missing so they had to go back and reschedule. I had to take 3 extra vacation days to accommodate them. What ever the cost of the service, add on the cost of 3 days of vacations. I honored everything in the contract but they did not. When it got ridiculous and i got fed up with their negligence i wanted to be let out of the deal but they said that they wouldnt void the contract even though all the problems was coming from them. All i got was a sorry. Sorry doesnt solve it pal. No compensation for my vacation days, nothing to appease the situation. I would seriously not recommend this company. They are eager to take your money but not so eager to make you happy.Andersen Corporation

I recently had an Andersen sales consultant come to a home I own. The reason I chose ******** was the home already had there product and a window was broken due to break in. Also front door was damaged. Also two window were fog up between the double pains. He quoted me for the entry door at $15,500.00 and discounted $2,000.00. He wanted an immediate commitment on the door. I then said what about the warranty on the fogged up windows. He said they were not warranted. I also inquired how much to replace the broken window and he changed conversation again to the front door looking for a commitment. Now on the broken window the local glass repair facility could not match the grid work material between the double panes is the reason the window needs replaced.. The windows were installed in thehome fifteen years ago. The home owner ship is owned under a special needs trust that I am trustee of. and I need a written estimate and reasons why warranty was denied before moving forward. Never got estimate for broke window or paper work for denying warranty claim. Terrible sales techniques. Way over priced and they don't honor their warranty. Terrible product. We had the worst experience with ************************. The sales rep we had was so rude and insulting, she never even gave us her name. The slider we were needing replaced is large and ******** only had one option that would fit with out having to customize. Because of this we told her that we wanted to sleep on it and her whole attitude changed. She she said it didnt matter to her if we went with them or not because she just sold 30k in windows that day. Luckily this was at the end of our consultation so she was leaving because at this point I wanted her out of my home.During the consultation she made comments equating to our ability to afford the product, she also told us a story on how she assumed a veteran couldnt afford windows by how he looked, but then found out how much he made and realized he could. I believe she was trying to state she doesnt judge people but it clearly showed she did, also my fianc is a disabled veteran so this was extremely insulting to us. It was just the worst experience I have ever had and my family is in sales and with companies that could get us a slider door. We wanted the quality Andrs states they can offer but because of this experience we will never recommend them or use them.Andersen Corporation

My elderly father just went through the worst customer experience of his life with **********************. There were so delays in the process and the customer service reps never had a competent answer for him. It was such a frustrating experience that he will never use or recommend them again. They actually broke the agreement of their contract and then they had the nerve to send my father to a collection agency for something they did wrong. 1 starAn absolutely HORRIBLE company!They discontinue their window products without warning and then they DONOT continue to offer parts for same thus leaving the customer with nothing but JUNK ******************** THAT CANNOT BE SERVICED! Ive had Pelli and installed ******** doors and windows at contractors recommendation. No contest, ***** is the better choice. The doors, both sliding and patio are of extremely poor quality. The sliders need a muscleman to open. The patio door twists so much I have to lean on it to close. Opening is just as difficult. No help from ********. Wouldnt even send a representative!Andersen Corporation

Just built a house with ******** double hung windows. The glazing beads keep coming off on the widows that face the sun. I called ********. The said the replacement parts are under warranty,but I had to pay for labor. I explained these windows are new. But they insisted the labor was not covered by their warranty. I decided to do the repairs myself. They made it SO hard to get the parts,I decided th purchase them myself. (They wanted pictures of each window,the info sticker, and the etching on each window. That was 6 pictures of each of my 10 windows) that is a lot of work for repairs. The child locks are missing on all of the upstairs windows I would not recommend these windows to anyone.Andersen Corporation

About twenty years ago we used ******** French Doors as part of a kitchen remodel. The doors were professionally installed by a licensed contractor. They were pricey but beautiful. They are not near a source of water other than seasonal rain. There is now extensive dry rot on the bottom of one door. When we called ******** we were told that "The warranty period has ended".We're very disappointed in the product. Should doors not last longer than twenty years?**************Andersen Corporation

We noticed a stain/fading inside one of our windows along with mold and rust. Called to get this fixed since there clearly was an issue with the seal. Got told that an unknown chemical got on the window and caused the seal to brake and we would be responsible for fixing the window. They said if it was moisture only there wouldnt be rust on the metal divider in between the window pains. Lol I guess Andersen has developed a new kind of metal that doesnt rust when water get on it. It is going to be about $1,000 to fix after its all said and done. Not a single other window is like this, including the two that a a few feet from the one thats messed up. But according to Andersen, this magical unknown chemical got just to this one window. So even though we didnt use or have any control over this chemical its fully on us. Glad to see a 3 billion company will nickel and dime their customers and use a ridiculous excuse to not cover one of their products thats clearly defective.Andersen Corporation
