      I bought $400 storm door. A week and a half later wind opened my door and destroyed it. I asked Andersen/Emco for help and theyre wanting to charge me an additional $103. Storm doors should be durable to wind. Storms cause wind. Anyway, theyre no help.

      I installed expensive ******** windows in my custom home that I built in 2015, but I wasn't aware of their flaws until we discovered extensive water damage to the walls. As of this writing, the problem has still not been resolved and has been discussed in circles without a clear solution. It is distressing to see this from a company like Andersen.

      Big name only, no accountability for their products. Recommend looking at another manufacturer.I bought 70+ windows. Two of the casement windows came with faulty parts. Andersen sent wrong parts even after providing pictures. It took two months to get correct part. Then another casement shash fell out of the frame. It took about six weeks to get them to come inspect all the windows which revelved cracked frames, screws misaligned on 30+ casement windows, and on multiple windows frames and shashes misaligned making windows inoperable. Called Andersen multiple times to follow up, regional manager was to call me back within a week and it's been more than a month.

      My mom is 68 retired nurse that still works do to shortage. We live in ******* in a older house built in ****. The windows are 2 different sizes a small bedroom window. And a front living room window. Nice windows. I live with her. I came home from work and she told me they came by the house. It took months to get 2 windows. My mom is almost done paying for them. I seen the bill. $6,000 for 2 windows. Crazy. I still have 7 more windows on my house to replace. If I stayed with ******** my windows in this house would cost more than my 2015 dodge charger. And I payed $21,000 . I want to see the breakdown on 2 windows how they came out to that amount. Looks like someone took advantage of a old lady to me.

      ECMO 400 storm door broke after 1 year. The screen portion has separated. Chat line was absolutely no help despite emailing photos of the extent of damage. Chat representative insisted that part of door is not covered under 10 year warranty. Very disappointed In Andersens customer service.

      Brand new window broken. Stuck in open position. Want to charge $280 to do an inspection. Never mind what it will cost to fix a brand new window. What a horrible company. You know their warranty is very specific as the customer service rep stated. Yes, seems to be very specific. There is no warranty.

      Purchased a replacement screen window direct from Andersen. Twice now the screen has been damaged in shipping. At this point I've been charged $95, I'm over a month out from my original order date, countless hours on the phone trying to remedy the situation, and I still don't have the part I ordered. Very frustrated with this company and will hopefully avoid them in the future.

      The slide element on one of my windows broke after two years. **************** wanted me to take the ******************** off and help them diagnose the problem before they send out repair. I told ******* I live alone and am 3 weeks out of a hip replacement so could they please send out service. No they cannot, and do you have someone who could ****************** with the diagnosis. What! I have never heard of such a thing. So in the meantime, I have a very expensive broken window.

      I purchased windows and now they won't honor my warranty on a window that cracked just by washing it. They said it wasn't a manufacturer defective product. I hope all 50 units of ******** products and I hope none of them will crack when just hand washing them. I will be in big trouble. I guess I don't have to ever wash them again and when lots of people ask why and I can't see out of them I will have to explain why. Funny thing is I am a freelance architect and I put Andersen Windows in all my houses. On top of that I was working for a construction/hardware store and I refused to sell anything but Andersen's. This supposed non-manufacturers defect did happen about five years ago and then I got really sick and i was in and out of hospitals for this period of time. They told me the warranty expired because I was too sick to file for a replacement. Now that's real customer service and empathy. Now I am going to advise others to stay as far away from Andersens just because they will not honor their warranty. I guess it is just another story of the big guy not caring about the little guy. Turns out to be true. Now I am retired an I live only on my check every month and can't aford to have 2 windows replaced or even looked at. I gues I could go without going to the store for food and get the replacement windows or even have someone look at them.
