      We built a new home in February 2024 in which the builder installed Andersen 100 series windows. From the first day we moved in, we experienced extreme temperature variations between rooms. With outside temperatures below 25, some rooms were 60 degrees. In summer with outside temperatures over 90, some rooms were 80 degrees. The thermostat remains set at 70 degrees. After thorough investigation with an infrared temperature gun and thermometers, the windows turned out to be the source of the problem. We contacted the builder, and they found no issues with installation and told us they have installed these windows in other houses with no prior complaints. After numerous calls to Andersen ***************** my case was escalated to a supervisor who reluctantly agreed to send a representative out to inspect the windows. He only performed a visual inspection of the inside and outside of the windows and said he found no problem. No tests were done to see if the windows met manufacturing specifications. The representative also stated that was the best I could expect out of Andersen 100 series windows. These windows are manufactured with Low-E glass and are ********* filled and are Energy Star Certified. Is this normal performance for an Andersen 100-series window or are my windows defective? Does Andersen really market and sell windows that are this low a quality for new construction home? Theres an undeniable problem, but Andersen is not willing to acknowledge the possibility of the windows being at fault. To make matters worse, they refuse to work with customers to reach a resolution to the problem.We are left with one option: replace all the windows in a 9-month-old house. You can be sure the replacement windows will not be Andersen.

      It's been over 30 days since Andersen said they would have a representative contact me regarding my concerns and as of today, no one has made any attempt to contact me by email or phone. Can't say I'm surprised as this is typical of how seriously Andersen Window company takes the entire subject of ***************** They don't stand behind their products and don't even make an attempt to work with customers. I submitted this complaint more as warning to anyone considering a window purchase to be aware that if you purchase an Andersen product, don't expect quality or support after your purchase.

      Im beyond frustrated with ******** Windows. Two of the larger windows were defective and bowed when delivered, and theyve been dragging the issue out for months. While they did order a new panel for one of the large windows due to the bow, they are now completely unresponsive. To make matters worse, two more windows wont shut properly. On top of that, the technicians who came out were condescending and insulted us by treating us like we were stupid. Despite repeated attempts to contact ********, weve received no help. Their warranty is worthless, and they just blame everything on installation. Save yourself the headache and choose another manufacturerthis has been a nightmare.

      I moved into a house that has 5 EMCO storm doors I have just learned from the Andersen support center that these doors can not have their cylinders replace or be rekeyed. I was told that this is for 'security' but no one can explain the inconvenience of having to have 5 keys for the the 5 doors. The house doors are keyed to the same key so I don't understand this comment.I have two additional storm doors that were added after the house was built. These ****** doors have replaceable cores. In fact, ****** is providing me with 2 new cores at no cost that they will rekey together.I strongly suggest that the packaging by Andersen of its series 400 doors clearly and boldly outline that multiple doors on the same house cannot be rekeyed the same.

      DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. You will NEVER get a replacement part from them if anything ever happens to the door.I made a purchase through their online website for a replacement screen insert for a storm door. We purchased the door because of this feature as our house has minimal airflow otherwise.I ordered the part before summer began so we could have it at the hottest times. After a couple weeks with no communication, I reached out to see where the part was. They told me I should receive it within "21 business days"... which what even is that timeframe. But either way, that time comes and sure enough it hasn't arrived. I keep checking on the status once a week, and they keep saying 'oh wow I'm sorry you haven't received it yet, I'll tell our shipping department'.There is no discount to say sorry, no real action, they just don't care. It's now the end of the summer, we had to go through the hottest months baking (our windows can't fit an A/C), and still no sign of the part. It's a complete joke. Several months without shipping an expensive part is unacceptable.

      Adding myself to the "I wish I could give them ZERO stars" ******** year ago - YES, one year ago, we ordered Andersen 100 Series windows through our awesome and trusted contractor. Installation was done by his Certified Andersen Window Installer and when we were all looking at the finished, we all gasped that 5 of 11 windows were terribly bowed at the bottom. So bowed that I couldn't close and latch a few of them.We were told we needed to file a warranty claim with Andersen so our contractor got it started with his supplier (supplier needs to file the claim as they were the actual purchaser)L ***** story short, everyone pointed fingers at one another and Andersen would not take responsibility for the inferior windows. Andersen sent representatives out again and again, and they pointed fingers at someone else but wouldn't be accountable for shoddy workmanship.After 11 months, Andersen finally agreed to supply 5 new windows. 3 weeks later we got the new windows and the same installer removed the bad windows, checked, measured, and inspected all frames prior to installing the new windows and everything about our house was perfect and ready for the new windows. Got the windows in and - - - 3 of 5 new windows are bowed at the bottom.Andersen - 1) you have horrible customer service. Your telephone agents are rude and will not speak to anyone other than the person that purchased the windows (the wholesale supplier) 2) you are allowing 100 series windows to leave the production plant in *******, ** without inspecting 3) allowing for shoddy workmanship with an inferior product.We paid a premium for these windows and I now get to look at c*** for the next 10 years because I am certain they will fall apart and not last what we had hoped 20 + years. Warranty?? HA! We are now stuck with these windows because in all honesty, I don't have it in me to continue to fight this company.EPIC **** FAIL, Andersen.And don't bother leaving the same copy and paste response

      I ordered the replacement beveled glass for my storm door plus the trim kit in mid June of 2024. A few days later the trim kit arrived. I waited a few days before contacting them in regards to the glass and when I did, I was told it would arrive in about 4-6 weeks. I reached out via chat on 08/03/2024 to inquire about the status and was told by ******************** that there was no information from *** to verify if the glass was ever picked up or if it was damaged during shipping. He said he would put in a new order and it would arrive in about 16 days. I told him I wanted expedited shipping and the chat abruptly ended. I opened a new chat and was given the 844 number to call during business hours. On 08/05/2024 the following Monday and asked to speak with a supervisor. **** came on the line speaking very bad broken English making it hard to understand. I explained my situation and he asks me to wait while he goes through the file. He comes back and says there is no record of me contacting Andersen on the 3rd which means the agent *******************, lied. **** said he would place a new order and that I would receive it in about 5-6 weeks. I told him that was unacceptable since Ive already been waiting over six weeks. I said Ive been lied to and now youre telling me I need to wait another 5-6 weeks. I said I wanted a full refund to the card I used to purchase these items and I needed a return label sent so I could return the trim kit. He proceeds to tell me that there is a restocking fee that I would be responsible for. I said I will not be paying that fee. This failure is your fault not mine and I will not be penalized for it. He then says he will waive the restocking fee but I would be responsible for the return shipping. Again I said I will not be paying Andersen one red cent more for their failure. He then snaps back and says, just keep the kit and Ill issue you a full refund. I dont care what you do with the kit at this point, keep it or throw it away its up to you.

      So NOT work with this company. Lies from sales all the way through install. Once purchased they provide zero customer service for their installed products. 12k for a door and 2 weeks after install they will not help at all. Terrible company. Big corporation. Regardless of what local company you choose, any real issues will be handled at the national level and they dont care at all about the customer or product. Now we have to be in court.

      I have an EMCO storm door. The metal on the door bracket broke in half. I called customer support and they want to charge $20 to replace this small piece of metal. It only has a one year warranty I am told. This door was expensive and this part should hold up better. Now Im shopping around to find an affordable way to replace this door closer part. I feel that ******** has let me down. The part is even out of stock at my local ***********

      Poor customer service. I called the 800 support number and after waiting on line for a while, I reached a call center in the ***********. In broken English the person was filling in the blanks on a website for missing parts in our storm door kit we bought from ********** only to tell us it would be about 11 days to get the parts. I could have filled in the blanks but I wanted to talk to someone at their US headquarters. What a waste of time. I dislike call centers outside the **. Just gonna wrap up this missing part stuff cr$& and drive it back to HD and they can deal with ********. If they advertise they are a US company then they should have customer support in the **!!!

      I had a salesman give me quote for new windows two years ago, after the quote, I told him I would discuss this with my wife. After seeing all the no pressure ads on fox news, they are full of c*** I literally had to throw this guy out of my house, he would not take no for an answer. I'll never call them again.
