Andersen windows are a sham. Bought top of the line Andersen 10yrs ago have replaced 4 windows already three of them are rotten as the vinyl exterior cracked and water seeped through. The fourth one above the patio the gas leaked out. These are wood interior so the new ones they sent have to be matched for stain and varnish. They do not pay for installation. Total joke. Never again will I buy Andersen. Box store windows last better than these did!Andersen Corporation

The slider doesnt match the other slider.the white color is not exact white as other door..slider is so hard to move and lock doesnt work at timesservice man is supposed to come out next week hopefully will fix issue.too expensive for what we gotAndersen Corporation

Recently ordered and had installed five Andersen 400 series double hung tilt sash windows for a room remodel along with an 8 foot sliding door. All had to be special ordered through a local building supply vendor. We, as well as our contractor, are VERY underwhelmed by the quality of the windows that we received. These were NOT inexpensive windows but the sashes feel very flimsy and QA is sorely lacking: nail holes in the frames were swiped with caulk and not cleaned afterwards so a very visible film layer is left on the frame at every nail point. Hardware is cheap-looking. Frames have some visible gaps along bottom of sash edges. Time will tell how well these windows hold up but we are not hopeful. VERY disappointed in the overall quality and wish that we'd gone with a different manufacturer. My advice: make sure you can actually see and operate working, full size samples of the Andersen windows that you are considering, and then compare to alternatives. Read the reviews. Make an informed choice so that you don't end up with buyer's remorse after spending a small fortune.(Andersen's clearly scripted response to every bad review is highly insulting to their dissatisfied customers. Hopefully they do actually follow through with a more personal CS contact.)Andersen Corporation

I have 10-year old windows from Andersen and a screen got damaged, and when I went to get a screen material to replace it, I found out you can't repair a screen.Andersen quoted $ ****** for a screen and new frame ! They make them with a metal spline so you have to purchase the entire screen and frame each time a screen might get damaged.I'd never recommend anyone buying Andersen for this reason alone !! In July 2018 I purchased a brand new Energy Star rated house, with a HERS rating of 48, from an expert builder, and featured Andersen windows. ************************** literature claims a life of 20 to 40 years, for their windows. Four years later three large windows on the sunny side have failed, are leaking and damaging our home. A field rep came to look over the situation. He concluded this was not an installation issue but a product failure. The plastic frames were cracking and water was leaking in and damaging the structure and interior walls. AWC appears to be willing to replace the windows, while ignoring the reality that removal and re-installation will cost double the value of the windows themselves. Apart from the cost - am I going to have to replace the replacement windows again four years from now??******** sells expensive windows, but their quality doesn't justify the price customer service ***** and their warranty is useless. Their products don't last and they don't backup their product.Andersen Corporation

*************** not buy windows from this company, Their customer service is worst than pathetic. You can't get a straight answer from there customer service representatives. They don't' return your phone calls or send an email when they say they will. I sent them pictures of what was needed and they still got it wrong, not once but twice. It is now 3/8/24 and I've been dealing with ******** customer service since 11/23 on these needed pieces for the 4th time. I will never buy another ******** Window product again after spending ********* dollars for these windows in a new home construction. Buyer be ware.Andersen Corporation

Please go with anyone else. The quality does not come close to the price you pay. We replaced all windows in our home and there are huge gaps that allow you to see the interior of the window (aesthetically bad, but doesn't create a draft or anything), sharp edges, a terrible job on exterior wrapping, and the overall look is cheap. Further, I was sold a portion of the project that was unnecessary without being told that it will cost us more money in the long run. It's pretty obvious they did that to make an easy profit off of me instead of giving me an honest or informed answer to my questions. They took advantage of me and I am incredibly disappointed in the process and the company. Oh, and the crew left a mess after install, there are nails and other garbage all over our yard and there was garbage left inside, too, along with dings on our walls that don't have windows. Don't ignore the bad reviews like I did!Andersen Corporation

Their products don't last and they don't backup their product. Bought in 2020. And have had to have mechanism replaced, so door will shut, in 2022, ***************************** 2024. I have to do the work. Prices are those of a premium with their actual item is a below par. After the third time within 3 years, you would think they would replace with something that actually works.Andersen Corporation

2012 replaced every window in my existing home and my newly built **** sf addition with ******** 400 series tilt sash windows. . Spent just under $10,000. Fast foreward to 2021. Every window condensates where the two windows meet and lock. Condensation between the glass and the sash. SERIOUS MOLD ISSUES. Contacted ******** window who transferred me to corporate as the service tech continuously talked over me and would not let me say anything. SHE TOLD ME THAT ******** WINFOW **** NOT COVER MOISTURE ISSUES. She said it was because of the temperature difference between inside and outside air!!! No doubt. That is what a window is supposed to do. Stop the cold from comin in. What kind of bologna is that? Mom has 200 series tilt wash and everyone of her windows leaks and is moldy. ******** WINDOW TOLD ME TO POUND SAND. THEY WILL NOT WARRSNTY THEIR WINDOWS DUE YO MOISTURE DAMAGE. IM GOING TO THROW OUT $10,000 worth of ******** 400 series tiltcwadh windows. I will install Pella or ****** windows. If you want a leaky, wet and moldy Windows?? Order the tilt sash windows and you will be disappointed too. ABSOLUTELY NO HELP FROM ******** WINDOW. THEY FEEL THEY ARE BETTER THAN THE REST OF SOCIETY.
