I bought a pistol that is supposed to be brand new but when I got it, I noticed that the inside had gun powder residue. Is this normal?Guns.com LLC

*** real story of what happens when purchasing a fine firearm online at least through guns.com. I own 3 gun stores and 2 ranges. I am a collector. I appraise estate firearms, antique, collections etc..for the past 15 years. I found a Colt they had listed with 4 photos. I contacted their sales ***** directly and spoke with their rep. *** Colt was listed and verified by sales rep as excellent, perfect conditions. ***y did not have any additional photos. *** price $1999.00 I ordered it and paid. Upon receiving it the Colt ***************************************************************** front the wood rampant colt gold insignia. It stands out clearly to anyone that looks at the firearm. This Colt is NOT what was stated, it is NOT a 100 percent excellent firearm. I contacted the sales rep, followed directions and sent in clear photos of scratch. ***y would review it. I offered to keep it if it was discounted or ship it back for a refund. *** rep stated it was a "Guns.com Certified Sale" so that should not be a problem. ***n proceeded to tell me that I would be responsible for a 15% restocking charge and the shipping. According to their grading scale it is in excellent condition. OK Warning to those that buy collectible firearms online through this site. It will NOT ever happen to me again. We accept transfers from online sites all the time for customers, I see this often. I should have known better. That deep of a scratch and as noticeable as it is, should have been disclosed. Second, customer satisfaction and fairnesss is not part of Guns.coms policy. Watch Out. In closing, I have proof of everything stated, copy of original add they posted with description and their photos, along with photos i took. Will NEVER do business with them again. We do not have a Perfect rating, but we do have an Excellent rating, which the Colt you ordered was listed as. We do not have a record of anyone at Guns.com telling you that the firearm is 100% perfect. First, I called and spoke to a representative there, asked for additional pics, none were available. She assured me it was in Excellent collectible condition. Now its a play on words..."Your Grading Scale" "Excellent vs Perfect" omg...what a joke. IT HAS A DEEP HEAVY SCRATCH IN THE ***** IN FRONT OF THE GRIPS...that is not perfect nor is it excellent. It was not disclosed. Now I am just a victim of your in accurate grading scale and deliberately not disclosing the gash in the metal. I'm not paying freight or a re-stocking fee for something I would have not ordered if it was disclosed properly or if I had seen a clear picture of the gash in the first place. Im willing to send this firearm back for a full refund without any restocking fees. You should train your staff to load proper pictures into the add as well as disclose flaws such as this gash. As far as fired v.s. unfired should not be an issue if the gun was taken care of, that would not be an issue. The only issue is the deep gash in the frame.Review fromBrett J

What a rip-off company. My gun is literally 20 days old, I purchased without talking to the Mrs. about it and she doesn't want guns in the house so I decided to see what they would have to offer. BRAND NEW FIRED A FEW CLIPS THRU WHEN I TOOK MY CONCEALED PERMIT, they offered me $215.00 and they have the same gun up for sale used excellent condition $449.00 trying to make over a 100% profit. I understand needing to make money on a resale but what a joke.. I'm sorry but mine even has a case 2 clips lock and some other extras.. what a joke I will never purchase,sell or recommend this company to anyone.Guns.com LLC

My advice would be to stay away from this outfit. Deeply disappointed with recent purchase of a new ************ Model 36 that displays RUST instead of bluing.For an operation that labels itself "The Most Trusted Place to Buy Guns," I cannot understand how you could allow the brand new Model 36 to ship and then have one of your people tell me four hours after receiving it from my FFL, "the rust is a manufacturing defect that should be warranted by ************." How could you allow such a defective hand gun to ship if you truly are trustworthy?Wish I could include photos here. These guys don't even deserve one star!Guns.com LLC

Website requires a lot of data entry and very specific photos and claims you will receive an offer for the gun you are selling in one day. Im on the third day. No offer. I emailed them twice and received a automated worthless response. Dont trust this group.Guns.com LLC

Just picked up my fourth purchase and I have been extremely satisfied. Very professional most guns are very fairly priced. Once purchased there is great communication along with extremely fast shipping. I find it hard to believe some of the reviews that I have read. I consider strongly reading the responses and find I. Most cases that it was the buyers fault. I would not hesitate in buying from them. Again I have had nothing but an exceptional buying experience. Thank you guns.com I will be back. Horrible. I knew they had a horrible reputation for cancelling orders after being placed so I waited 20 minutes on the phone to verify the inventory with a customer ********* customer rep assured me the handgun was in stock. Subsequently, I ordered the handgun, received a confirmation email from guns.com that the order had gone through, and immediately filled out the *** transfer form at the receiving ***. 10 minutes later guns.com sent me an email cancelling the order.Do not do business with these people.Guns.com LLC

I purchased a ********** from Guns .com last week. It was listed in the U.S. Military Pistol category with no disclaimer or even a hint that it was a clone and not an actual military Production Pistol. When it arrived it to virtually no time to figure out it was a copy. Internal markings are different on Military firearms. I contacted them and explained that I thought I should be entitled to a full refund instead of their -15% restocking, -shipping both ways and - the service fee which adds up to a little over $200.00 in this case. It is a decent pistol in very good condition however it is not what it was represented to be. If I wanted just a Beretta 92 I would have bought an Italian made one because they are a Better quality.. They seem to be one of those BUYER BEWARE PLACES that could care less about beating you up so if you choose to do Business with them do your homework .Guns.com LLC
