1 starI travel with Sun Country Airlines a few time a year. I never have any issues with my service dogs getting on and off the plane except for their ***********, ** location. They have a couple people that have yelled at me, asked me what was the reasons for my service animal, asking what does my service animal do for me, telling me I dont have the right paperwork even though I filed all the necessary paperwork and documents that this airlines requests online and got there pre-approval for travel. I have my service animal paperwork along with the pre-approval documents but they refuse to look at them. Then I have to have management called to straighten everything out. The *********** employees have been nothing but rude, demeaning, and disrespectful. Of course Sun Country could care less.Review fromSamantha S

1 starSun country REMOVED and LOST my active military husbands laptop from under his seat without informing him. We have been actively trying to locate this laptop for 3 months now with absolutely no help from sun country. No Compensation, just a we will let you know if we find it. Absolutely absurd that a flight attendant makes a mistake and ends up getting a thousand dollar laptop lost with no trace of it anywhere..... Sketchy, unprofessional and just over all BAD service. They told us a flight attendant would never do such a thing, yet the attendant ADMITTED to removing the laptop bag from the flight before take off. Do better sun country. Hoping my husband gets compensation for his lost item as it was only a few months old.Review fromChad R Kestner J

1 starThis is now the second time I have had to make an emergency landing in ********* ** from ****** while flying with Sun Country. Not only did the flight crew lie to ** and say we would be off the ground in 15 minutes (we still havent left and its been 2 HOURS) they knowingly wasted our time without letting us know what was actually going on. Is this not a multi-billion dollar company? Is there no accountability anymore? What happened to good old honesty with our customers?I bought a first class ticket, and to be quite ************* rather spend my money on an airline who will not only get me to my destination ON TIME but I want to spend my money with a company that will be honest with me when something is going wrong rather than beating around the **** and KNOWINGLY wasting my time without giving me the honest truth. The pilot came out and whispered to the flight attendant were never getting out of here right after he told all of the passengers that we would be off in 15 minutes. AGAIN, it has been 2 HOURS. My ride home has left and I have to pay 100$ for an Uber, you should be paying that sun country. You honestly ****, and I WILL NOT be flying with you anymore. Start caring about your customers and maybe you would keep them!Review fromChristine F

1 starTwo weekend trips to ********* for a Bachelorette party and a wedding and have had 3 flights delayed so far, actually sitting in the airport now and should have been taking off at 8:00 but now not departing until 10:40. Last Sunday delayed almost 5 hours and no notice until I get to the airport. Will NEVER fly Sun Country Airlines again.Review fromJennifer D

1 starI WIll NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH SUNCOUNTRY AGAIN!I was so excited to go vacation with my partner and my new best friends. When they found out where we were going they thought it would be a great idea to go on their honey moon since they where getting married a week prior to the departure. They didn't have the money at that moment so I ended up purchasing the tickets for them and they were going to pay me back. Well they ended up losing their job and so I had to cancel their flights and then the hurricane ended up hitting the island just a little more than month before we were to go so I ended up canceling my tickets. I bought the trip insurance so I would be protected and would get my money back and that whole process was a s*** show from beginning to end. I never got my money back just in vouchers and they didn't tell me that it was from when I booked my flights. I have used some of the vouchers and have made requests and have had issues during my flights and then i still had $1800 to use knowing that they were getting close to expiring since i had canceled my original flights so i was going to just book future flights and hope things work out and when i went to book the vouchers were expired. I called and spoke to someone and there was nothing anyone would do to help me out unless i would book right then but didnt have money since i was planning on using my vouchersand they would only give me free bags and seats. I would have used all my vouchers up within an hour since i had then in my cart for the most part. I'm out $1800 now. In April I had emergency gallbladder surgery since I was so sick for 2 months and they finally figured out it was my gallbladder and the 3 weeks ago I had a hysterectomy so I've had a rough year and traveling hasn't been on my mind just getting healthy and now I've lost a lot of money. I would rather spend a few extra bucks for better customer service.Review fromBob H

1 starWorst customer service from an airline I've ever experienced. They lost our luggage (on a direct flight) over a week ago and no one from their company has contacted us. When we call customer service we have to wait over an hour to speak to someone. We still don't have our luggage after returning from vacation. Nobody from Sun Country seems to care or make the effort to help us get our luggage.Review fromMissy W

1 star1st: My niece, who is 21, was stuck in ******* at 3:00 in the morning because her connecting flight on Sun Country was canceled. There was no effort on Sun Countrys end to help her get another flight, and her mom (after almost 2 hours on the phone) had to pay $300 for a flight on another airline. *** Country refused to compensate any additional costs , even though their Customer Agreement clearly states that they will. 2nd: My daughter was scheduled to fly out at 7:30pm on a Friday. A few hours before that we were notified that the flight was canceled. The next flight out was not until Monday. Luckily we had family nearby, otherwise she would have been stranded. At 17, there was no way for her to get a hotel room. Sun Country did not offer a solution by making it easy to get on the next flight out, they simply refunded the price of the ticket with no further assistance. My sister was on hold with Sun Country for nearly 2 hours before she finally was able to speak to someone. They rescheduled the flight to Monday, which was a huge inconvenience. Again, there was no compensation offered even though the Customer Agreement clearly states otherwise. 3rd: I was scheduled to fly out Monday Aug 7. I found out Sunday that I had Covid. I called to reschedule my flight and was told that I would need to pay an $80 change fee in addition to the price change of the ticket, which was double of what I had originally paid. When I told the customer service rep that by doing that they are encouraging people to fly with covid, putting other passengers in danger, she couldnt have cared less and said they were just following protocol. This last experience made me realize that Sun Country does not care at all about the well being of their passengers. My sister consistently flies Delta, and has found the customer service to be excellent. I will not be flying sun country in the future. The saying You get what you pay for is most definitely the case with sun country.Review fromJohn F

1 star*** Country's policy is to deliberately split up families traveling together. When I checked in I skipped the seat selection screen because I thought in no world would an airline split up a 3 year old from the parent they are traveling with. Lo and behold we were randomly assigned seats far apart from one another in the cabin, with my 3 year old seated between two strangers. This FORCED me to pay for the seat assignments to avoid hassling other customers into swapping seats (seats they likely paid for). When I complained to them and asked for a refund for the seat assignment fee, they basically said tough luck.Other airlines are now moving toward free seating policies for families traveling with young children. Hopefully Sun Country follows suit. Until then I will be flying with another carrier.Review fromJulie B

1 starMy husband was booked on a flight Friday, 7/14/23 at 5:40pm, from *** to ***. He/we received notification at 11:16am that same day that the flight was canceled. When I called customer service, they reported it was due to crew call-offs. This is an unacceptable timeframe to cancel a flight without any assistance in re-booking. We were already at our destination, and he was meeting us for a family gathering. The ************ customer service and their supervisor would provide was to travel on Sunday, or drive 3 hours to ********* or ***** to catch a different flight. They were unwilling to compensate for the additional travel time, gas, and parking to make these options even a consideration. There were flights with other carriers that would not have disrupted the trip, but again, they were unwilling to accommodate these options. I also requested compensation in the form of a flight voucher in the amount ($340) that would have covered my cost of re-booking him on a different airline. Again, they were unwilling to accommodate this.I am not sure how or why none of these requests were unable to be resolved through their customer service agents. Other ********************** are able to accomplish this. Especially when it was due to crew call-offs, and not an act of nature. There were no reasonable measures offered. For an airline that has been around since ****, I cannot imagine how this is possible.Upon filing a complaint through their website, they refunded the initial cost of the ticket without making any additional accommodations or offering any resolution. Basically, they told me too bad. Terrible customer service and I would not recommend this airline to anyone.Review fromBrittany D
