      WORST ELECTRIC COMPANY I moved out of the property in Question in Jan.2024, it is now Nov.2024, Xcel continued to charge me for the electrics and gas usage despite me calling multiple times a month and providing proof that I do not live at the address. They told me I had to pay or my credit score would be affected, they also told me I would get refund for all the bills I paid that were not my bills. Those bills have now tallied up to over $2,500 and now I continue to get the run around from them over the money THEY OWE ME. I have been told many times a supervisor would contact me on this issue has yet to happen. I continue to call 2-3/week and each time Im placed on hold anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. When someone does pick up they tell me they see the issue but cant give me an answer on when/if Ill get my money back and then tells me, yet again, a supervisor will call me on this issue. Come on **** it has been 11 months! ELEVEN MONTHS. This is a lot of money and if I owed you over $2,500 you would be cutting my power off until I paid. This is complete BS!

      I sent in a ********** Election Form before the deadline for the year. I never received a conformation email stating that they had received it. I called in to find out if they had it on record, and after a 45 minute wait I was able to talk to a customer service ********* was looking into my account, and asked to put me on hold. I aggreed, and the next thing I know I was disconnected. I didn't have the time to wait again, so I tried again the next day. It was a heavy snow day, and they were only taking emergency calls. That was fair, so I waited until the next week to try to call. I am on hold as I type this, and I have been on hold for the last 30 minutes. My lunch break is over, so I may need to try some other time. This is terrible customer service. If they deny that they received the election form, I may end up spending a lot more money than I should this year, but there is nothing set up to check on this, other than calling in.

      I lived and rented a townhome from June to October 2023 in *******, ** and used Xcel Energy. When I left the townhome, I went through all of the correct steps and received a termination email. However, I kept receiving bills on and on and on for $200, then $300, then $600+ in expenses.I called TWICE and they told me they are figuring it out and for me not to worry about it. Now they've sent it to a debt collector. They are truly awful and its unfortunate I have to go to this level. Please Xcel reach out to me so we can stop this.

      Power has been completely out for over 7 hours here in ***********. This has happened multiple times within a week span. They have a monopoly over the entire state so they can afford to hire illegal felon immigrants to ensure residents have power they pay for. I just bought $400 worth of groceries today and not only will those spoil, but my pets are dead. Thanks xcel if I could beat the s*** out of one person just point me in the direction you c*** sucking pieces of n***** f****** s***

      Xcel's HomeSmart program is a scam. Their customer service is terrible, they say someone will call you back and they never do (5 times). They refuse to pay out for repairs they say they will cover. Do not use this service!

      They came out to replace a pole in my back yard and said they would trim the tree a little then they chopped off one whole side of it. Now the tree has to be removed because they killed it but they wont take responsibility for it. I wish I could post a picture to illustrate how ridiculous it looks. But nothing ever comes of this stuff so Im not even sure why Im complaining.

      Unreliable and terrible service. Power outage issues aside they refuse to bill me correctly. They left an unregistered user on my account for 3 years after I asked they be removed. When I finally got them removed Xcel locked me out of the account they billed me under and I could only log into an account that continued to have a zero balance for a month after I paid the initial bill until I finally got an email that I had a bill over double my normal monthly amount that was past due. After hours on the phone I was able to finally access my bill. This is egregious as Xcel is a monopoly and my only option for power service. I have no recourse against them as I am required to have their overpriced service. Few other companies could get away with mismanaging and taking advantage of their customers in such a manner. One star is much too high for this slimy power company. If I had another option for a service provider I would never give Xcel another cent or moment of my time. Terrible company.

      I got solar panels in Feburary, it took them over 5 months to produce a bill.When the bill came, something seemed off. For the 5 months they claimed i only produced $113 worth of solar.Every month since then I've produced over $100.I called and said the data must be wrong and they denied everything.

      We have had more power outages living in my current home these past 10 years than I have in my entire life. Despite numerous complaints, despite reaching out to the public utilities commission, still nothing is done to fix their problems. Old and unsafe equipment, lack of crew staff, lack of transparent communication.Why will no one do anything to fix this problem?
