      ACTION REQUIRED! the email subject sent to me Me: There are no options on your web site to communicate by email or in person - only a useless virtual assistant. Change my billing date to later in the month. I get my social security on the fourth Wednesday of each month, This month I will get it on the 27th. My excel bill is marked due on the 21st. Five days after the due date I am sent an obnoxious email that my account is past due. Change mu billing date so that this does not happen again. I have made this request before about your obnoxious message and requested they not be sent. This is harassment. If I do not get satisfaction, I will involve local media and/or internet usergroups. I am angry that as a public utility you provide no method of communication. Again, change me billing date so that I can meet YOUR payment schedule when my Social Security arrives on the fourth Wednesday of each month without triggering you obnoxious "payment reminder"Them: In order to help you I would need your account number or phone number. Could you please send that in a private message.Me: As I said, there is no way of communicating effectively. Is this a private message or an obfuscation. My account number (I will assume this is a private message since I have no other way of communicating with you) is xx-xxxxxxx. My phone number is xxx-xxx-xxxx. This is in no way reassuring that my issue will be dealt with. Looking forward to your continued "help".Me: I have called the phone number from the bill and been informed that the current wait time is thirty minutes. You should be ashamed. "We understand that your time is important to you" "Your call is very important to us".

      Discounted services Sept of 2023 and still getting billed. This is for my *************************************************************************************** that department to give them time. Its now almost been a year and he just gets harassing voice messages and bills. I do not call anymore. I called 6 times each person said they saw the disc. Only giving 1 star because I have to pick at least 1.

      Rates tripled when moving to Xcel from ***. Why wouldn't they - they have a veritable monopoly for the entire metro area. It's illegal for this very reason.

      How on earth is this company allowed to operate? Oh that's right, it's a controlled monopoly owned by the government. Xcel Energy has not allowed me to access my account in over a year. I've called, once a month, for six months, in an attempt to gain insight as to when I'll be able to access my account. I always receive the same response "you have an open ticket with out tech department". I no longer use Xcel and canceled my service and yet I received an email saying my account is past due by $6.95. This email prompts me to log into my account to pay, which is hilarious. Calling them is a moot point. **** only accepts calls that are "emergencies" and all others are required to log into their account. It's remarkable how this company is still allowed to exist.

      They bill for service that hasn't been connected yet, and make it impossible to contact someone who can do anything about that.

      **************** is abhorrent. I have a billing issue and they don't have enough people to handle emergencies and billing questions. It is outrageous that you cannot speak to someone about your bill. There is some message playing that advises it is for "safety" and taking better care of its customers, I don't' buy that and I doubt anyone does, but when you are a monopoly There is some kind of outage issue and they are disconnecting the calls if it is not an emergency yet is is a beautiful day with no wind, I think that is is just an excuse to not service their customers. That is what you get when you have a legal monopoly. they can operate as they want whether or not their customers are taken care of.

      They removed my gas meter and service without homeowner phone call and permission. My house gas pipes have been cut without a notification . I bought this house in the end of July. I set up my account on July 31st , 2024 , they cut my gas pipes and remove my gas meters in the week of 8/4-8/10 . They try to remove my electric meter and service this morning 8/12 . I am appreciate the electrician is smart to call me to verify it , then I found my house has no gas for a week . Its lucky this happened in summer , if it happen in winter , the house will be destroyed by xcel energy people .

      Xcel Energy is a monopoly in the town of *************** ********. Is derogatory to its customers sent me straight to collections without sending me a bill business practices are subpar. But the biggest concern is that this is a monopoly in the city of *************** and I'm not allowed to use a different company

      We recently moved to a property in ******, *********, and were shocked by the extremely high electric bills from Xcel Energy. Despite using the same amount of energy as in our previous home, the costs are exorbitant. We explored other electric companies but were told Xcel Energy has exclusive rights to this area, leaving us with no alternative options. Xcel Energy seems to exploit this monopoly, hiking prices and providing questionable explanations for our usage. Their practices appear shady and possibly unethical, taking advantage of customers who have no choice but to use their services.

      I had been getting a misleading payment arrangement online for a 6 months installment and when I call the csr representative she said I am not allowed that payment arrangement, her name is ***** and ahe is very insensitive to my account just because I had a high balance. I feel very offended and the run around to call for external help which I did and kept calling Xcel Energy csr for more help for lower amount, still didn't get any help or resolution. I was told I would get a call back from a manager or previous rep ********* that I call a day before 8/6/2024 which she never called back and even now today the new rep ***** is being very rude and demanding. I even snap shot a photo of my online option and stated that I would send it to the manager to look at and she kept denying me! Why would there be an online option. If the csr representative is staying its an error. Please help, very disappointing I'm running g around my county for help and no energy assistance available until Oct 1st 2024 she kept demanding $2800 down payment and I am currently unemployed and struggling to make ends meet and she is being very rude and demanding. If that was her ahe would feel how I feel.
