About 4 months ago I began having issues with Curbside picking up the garbage. Multiple weeks were missed and I was continuously told it was due to construction in the area. There was constant access to my house and road during the construction. Further, I was the only Curbside customer in the neighborhood and I was the only one in my neighborhood to have missed pickups. After weeks of this I finally switched to a different service provider (which had no issue completing pickups).I canceled service with Curbside at that time (this was about 2 months ago) and requested they come pick up the bin (which they were notified was still full of garbage going back 3 weeks due to their lack of service).The bin has been sitting in my driveway, at the road, since that time. I have contacted Curbside no less than 4 time and have been told each time the bin would be picked up within a week. Curbside has made no effort to follow through with these statements and I have run out of recourse other than this, and eventually reaching out to the **** of commerce to file a complaint.Business Response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.Curbisde followed though with removing the bin today, so I will be marking this as resolved.
However the response from the company completely dismisses what a hassle this has been and misrepresents the situation.
Ultimately this issue has been going on since July. I have contacted Curbside on multiple occasions, early on to advise them how to get to the house during construction and that the construction crews were making sure there was access on Mondays for garbage removal. Also, there was no mention by any rep of the company, when I have contacted them, about access issues, just assurances that it would be resolved asap.
After 4 months of dealing with this issue (very patiently I would add), it has taken filing this complaint to get anything done.

I have been a residential trash customer since April 2022. In the six month I've been a customer, ********************** has missed seven pick up's of my trash. That's about a 30% fail rate. In contacting them about the issue, each time they are very slow to respond. They have never come to get the trash the next day and have never issued me any sort of credit. There are plenty of waste providers out there. Stay away from Curbside.Business Response

Curbside Waste has had my credit card information for over three years yet they locked my account and refuse to pick up my trash saying that my card was declined. Impossible. My bank has never informed me of any account problems or declines other than out of country purchases nor are there any bank fees charged against me for declines or overdraft. My bank also has a service that informs me if my account goes below a certain amount. That service has NEVER been used or needed. The ********* I talked to at Curbside was much more interested in arguing than resolving the issue. She even read me my credit card numbers which I verified and her interest was still only wanting to argue rather than resolve. I am handicapped and feel curbside tries to take take advantage of that fact by assuming I am feeble and unable to defend against their oppressive billing practices. My only recourse is to find another hauler which raises two additional problems. Curbside wants to charge me over $100 to collect their garbage cans and I have prepaid for lawn trimmings removal paid on the exact credit card they say is has been declined. There are multiple issues.1) Earlier this year we witnessed their garbage truck pick up a garbage bin (not ours), move forward a few feet, pick up the yard waste bin and dumped it into the same truck. It is my understanding that this is against the law MN Statute 115A.931, but we don't have any video evidence, so we just decided to cancel our service with them.2) We contacted them via phone to cancel our service, but with extensive hold times, I sent an e-mail instead. On May 31, I notified them of our intent to cancel service at the end of our billing cycle (June 30). The next day they responded, asking why. I tried to call again, but because of long hold times, I settled for another e-mail, on June 3rd, I explained the yard waste issue, the poor customer service of not being able to get a hold of them on the phone and asked that they verify the cancellation of our service. No response. On June 10th after trying to call again and with long wait times, I wrote another e-mail asking how/when they would pick up the bins and to clarify outstanding balances. No response. July 25 I wrote them AGAIN. At this point I was deployed and was not able to call. I informed them that we had been setting our bins out to be picked up and they weren't picked up. I asked when they would be picked up. Also, I logged into my account and saw that they had billed me for July/August. Finally on July 28th they contacted me and let me know that there would be an early cancellation fee, and they asked again why I was cancelling. This should have been pointed out as part of their June 1st response, so it could have been resolved before I deployed. 3) This spring, we didn't ask for yard waste service, we didn't pay for yard waste service, and we didn't get yard waste service, but they are expecting us to pay for yard waste service. To add insult to injury, their potentially illegal collection of yard waste is the reason we were trying to cancel in the first place.Business Response

I am rejecting this response because: Despite the response from the business, as of 10/3/2022 the bins have not been picked up and our account online still shows a balance of $101.15 for trash collection and #***.58 for yard waste. If there is any confusion, the address is *************************************************************** **. The bins have been out every day since we received the response. Last week was the last week for service. Carts are scheduled to be removed today 10/4/2022. And the carts are removed now. The balance remains on the account rather you pay it or not.

I cancelled their service in August. They said I was paid up until October 27th and couldn't return my money. So I said I would keep them until October 27th. This was about Aug. 19th. The day after Labor Day, they charged me another $76.42 and I tried calling and talking to them. They said don't worry about it. I even sent an email to have my credit card reimbursed. There are so many calls to them, when I finally got to caller one, the phone disconnected on me. I want my money credited back to my card.Business Response

I cancelled Curbside Waste in August of this year. On September 3rd, they took out another $72.46 for November and December. I filed a complaint with you back in September and they answered that it was their fault and they would issue me a check. 6 weeks have passed and no response. They are hoping I'll forget it. The account is set to cancel on Oct 31st. She paid the Sept/Oct bill and is still being serviced. On August 23rd she called to cancel at the end of Oct. ******* tried saving her but the notes say she didn't want an adjustment, just to cancel. We looked up the email address on file and we've received no emails to customer service.

I have been trying to cancel commercial service for 3 months. I am told everytime that only the owner can cancel the account and that he does not have a direct line. I call once a week and have only received a call back a few times, each time after business hours. I continue to be charged without a way to cancel service. The operator says she has not been trained in to cancel commercial accounts. Its been 3 months that ive been told that weekly. The owner should train someone in order to make his business fully operational. Resolve this by closing my account AND training in your employees to complete all necessary business functions so that another business owners time isnt wasted in the future.Business Response
