      The customer service of the nurse technicians has been excellent and they went out of their way to find us a loaner lymphedema pump because we could not get the insurance company (Humana)that insists we use an in network provider for these devices that is absolutely HORRIBLE. They are call Preferred Medical and they did everything they could to stop us from getting what my mother desperately needed and the Insurance company would not approve going through a different provider.

      I wish I’d seen these reviews sooner. They sent my equipment before insurance responded, insurance denied and, even after promising me that I could return if it was unopened, they told me I can’t because more than 60 days have passed. I can’t afford $10K.
      Do NOT accept anything from them without insurance approval!

      I've had good customer service and even when I've experienced a problem with my flexitouch plus garments, they've handled it well.

      Strongly suggest to stay away from Tactile Medical. Awful, absolutely terrible customer service at each and every level, no concern for their customers/patients at all! This company should not be in business, especially especially in patients care! I am going to initiate a complaint wherever I can. In our case, they sent a wrong size very expensive device after measurements were taken by their rep. It was 5 months ago! They sent it without disclosing a price despite multiple request for it. A rep promised to take away and replace the device informing a patient of the price. Nothing happened for 5 months except hours and hours of our time on a phone trying to resolve it. Absolutely no action to resolve it from Tactile Medical. Now 5 months later they are sending a letter requesting a payment for the wrong device that a patient did not want, could not use, and was trying to send back to them for 5 months! They should not be in health care business!!!

      I am a healthcare provider. I have a patient that received her pumps in June of 2021. She was never shown how to use them. We have both reached out to Tactile and they refuse to assist her because she has a small balance on her account. This is not the only time that Tactile has been less than helpful to patients after delivery of the equipment. They collect the insurance payment and then ignore the patient. Take your business elsewhere if you want good customer service, or any service at all.

      My doctor recommended Tactile Medical for my lymphedema. Tactile came out to measure me for a pump and said the pump was $5,000. I express to them that if it’s a cost that I don’t want it. They assured me that because I have BCBS of Michigan it should be no charge to me. They also stated that I would find out about any charges prior to shipping. They called and said it will be shipped out and there is no cost to me. It took almost a month to get it. The packet inside had nothing about the return policy. I started using the pump. I recently received a EOB from BCBS saying that the pump was not covered because Tactile is not in the network. However, they will cover approximately $5,800 and the machine was $10,450. I would be responsible for the almost $4,600. I live from check to check and also have my mother with dementia that I assist with her care. I tried calling Tactile over and over. No one answers and there is a recording that keep asking you would you like to leave a voicemail. I can only hold for so long because I have to work. It hasn’t been 60 days. For 1, I don’t think it’s fair that they quote prices that are incorrect. Second, they don’t put the return policy in the packet. Third, customer service don’t answer the phone. I don’t want a payment plan. I can’t afford this machine. They know people can’t afford that expensive machine. This company should be out of business for deceiving people. I just want them to come get the machine.

      A rep from Tactile Medical called and said my insurance had approved my Flexitouch Advanced as a rental that would convert to a purchase after one year. I let her proceed with their standard spiel (it sounded well-rehearsed.)
      The rep began some Olympic-level mental gymnastics when I told her I had a paper denial from my insurance. I pointed out that Medical Mutual of Ohio/Cigna says the torso piece is "experimental." She began trying to claim that Tactile would appeal if my insurance didn't pay (this would be after I had the thing for a year), and if they still didn't pay, I wouldn't be charged for it, which I asked for in writing, and she said she didn't have anything in writing to send me. She further claimed that "approval" and "pre-authorization" are different, which is true, but misleading since that denial will stand. I then asked if she had any correspondence from my insurance that stated it was approved, and she said she didn't.
      I told her I would not proceed with the order and that the whole thing felt sketchy, edging into fraud.
      A little Googling reveals several court documents and at least one claim that 70% of their claims are retroactively denied due to lack of medical necessity.
      Needless to say, I will not be doing business with this shady company.

      Did not set up training appointment as required by the consult I had with physical therapist at the VA. Have talked to corporate patient training department and left voice mail with Fayetteville, AR office.

      Terrible customer service, like many others stated no one from Tactile will call back! I had squamous cell ca L tongue which during surgery lymph nodes were removed as well as salivary gland. Tactile visited me after one of my radiation treatments about the head gear and vest. I was advised all this wd be covered by medicare, well the vest was not and Tactile has been trying to bill my insurance a monthly rental fee since Sept 2022! Insurance has denied each month! I made several calls to Tactile speaking to a live person a couple of times who said they would get back to me, but they have not!! I feel like I was scammed during a vulnerable time! I have not used either piece and want it gone!!! I have spoken to a local rep who can’t get answers either!!
