  Sean ****** is an outstanding technician. He was very friendly, honest and upfront with nature of my problems - a broken water heater and water softener. He showed me the problems provided several options and and completed the work immediately. I would highly recommend Hero and Sean and Pat to friends and relatives.

  Had Zach ******** come to unclog the main drain. Great guy!! Full of really good information! Showed me the roots that were in the drain and was told this could be a issue because of all the trees we have, gave me a couple of good ideas. I would definitely call Hero again!!

  I turned my boiler on for the first time this year and it was making an unusual sound so rather than trying to figure it out myself I decided to call a professional. Hero caught my eye due to the low up-front cost and quick service time. The technician was there same day and very pleasant. He proceeded to inspect my boiler for approximately 5 minutes without running and true tests due to a "faulty gas pump" and told me I needed a completely new system. After telling me that, he told me he could install a new gas pump to complete said tests and quoted me nearly $2000. I decided to get a second opinion from a union shop before I made a purchase. When the technician got there he told me that the gas pump goes for around $200. I understand there are labor costs but that is an extreme mark up in price. I then asked him what he would quote me for a new boiler so I could compare with the quote Hero gave me. Hero's basic efficiency boiler that they offer is priced at $9500, while that does include labor and permits, is very expensive. The quote I got from the union worker for the system was $4500. While that price did not include labor and permits, it was less than half the cost. I can only imagine how many people were charged insane prices due to these practices. It felt more like a sales pitch rather than a repair.I was also told that the technicians get a commission for every unit they sell so they have a lower bar to meet to label a boiler "broken".ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION!!!!

  On 9/22 had a technician came out and was replacing parts for our toilet, the parts were did not fix the problem and was charged 533. I have made several attempts to speak to someone. Finally when I posted my review about my problem, i immediately get a response from the post stating that they had informed my husband that another part is needed to fix the toilet! This is questionable because due to the fact that my husband is hard of hearing and stated that he was not told it needed another part! Simply outraged with this company my husband is an veteran and lost his hearing from serving and for this so called company to be called Hero, what a shame they literally left us with a huge lost and still not a working toilet! Hero you are an ABSOLUTE ZERO!

  **** sent a plumber with experience in old-house pipe connections to the city sewer line. He gave us estimate options that included best-case and worst-case scenarios. His diagnostics discovered the worst-case scenario with good solutions. **** kept us informed when the plumber was delayed due to the the job before ours taking longer to complete. So far we're satisfied with Hero's employee and customer service.

  ***** did a fine job. He was quick, efficient and very informative. He went about checking our furnace in a timely manner, considering it was 81 deg. outside at the time. He explained what he had one and what needed to be done in order to make sure our heating system would be ready for winter.
