      Despite the fact I met my deductible and went to an in-network provider, UHC accidentally marked my provider as out of network when I was assured through a prior authorization that my service would be covered. My provider didnt bill me until over a year after my surgery when I had changed companies and was no longer with UHC. Today I was sent to collections and in my file its noted that someone contacted me to tell me my provider is not in network, which is a blatant lie and the representative I was originally working with is non-responsive and lied to me telling me United was cutting my provider a check. My credit score is on the line because Uniteds blatant misrepresentation and unethical business practices. I will be passing my experience along to my former employer and strongly encourage them to drop United when they renew benefits in July. This is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with and know many others who have been left with surprise medical bills as a result of Uniteds lack of care for its customers.

      This mail order pharmacy is awful. If you have any other options available, please save yourselves a headache and don't use this company. The customer service representatives are not knowledgeable, if you call 5 times each person will give you a different response. It's shameful that when you need life sustaining meds, they give you the run around about your meds.

      I have the UnitedHealth care medical advantage plan and it has been great so far! Ive had no issues and customer service has been helpful! I have seen a lot of negative reviews but have not understood why so many issues? I think maybe in different states policys might be different or a lack of training of personnel? United healthcare has some great plans and if your looking for a health insurance company look into UHC!

      They have issues integrating customer information across their network and automated customer communications. They also provide poor customer service. Operators arent professional or skilled. I think they also allow them to work from home or use their personal phones during work hours. When I was connected, she was speaking casually to someone in the background. I also heard her whisper, Ill call you back. I gotta go. She also complained about the company having to make operators change their passwords and its a pain to remember them all. That should be a good thing when you are dealing with PII and medical information!

      I am writing this review because every year since 2019 I continue to get information about the annual enrollment period for ********* I am 28 and do not qualify. I have called numerous time each year to get my name and address removed. They fail to stop the mail and yet I again I have to call again in order to get the mail to stop. If I have to get legal involved, I will. Please stop the mail!!!!

      Took a new job this year. Happened to be pregnant at the time. I was originally told all pregnancy related services would be covered then got a shocking $4,500 bill after the most standard hospital birth imaginable.I have been fighting the issue for months and nobody solves it. They say it's copay. Though the hospital isn't charging it as a copay-but rather labor and delivery services. What the heck? The copay ranges are absurd. 2,000-4,500 depending. Obviously they will always charge the *** possible with no justification. When I pointed out that I had been mislead and told I wouldn't have to pay anything unless there were unexpected circumstances, the representative literally just said "well someone might have told you that but it is still your job to do research."Corrupt as all get out. Finding a new plan as soon as I can.

      Terrible customer service and when I call someone from ***** answers the phone! The person that answers the phone can not help you and you can not understand them. I am calling an American company and expect someone who can clearly speak English to help me! I will never use United Healthcare again for insurance.

      I am leaving UHC because of their inability to negotiate with ******* which forced the patients to bear the burden. Because after a year their negotiations stalled, *** moved ******* to out of network in June 2022. Thus when I tried to go to my primary care, I was forced to bear the cost. Patients should not be the ones paying the pricing while these 2 big companies try to make more money.

      I'm chronically ill and have Optum Rx through work. They will only fill long term medications through a CVS pharmacy or mail order. They give you two courtesy fills at a pharmacy, then block them after that (I'd have to call the pharmacy each time I needed a refill and tell them to fill the script regardless, then pay the difference). There isn't a CVS pharmacy close to me, and I work full time, so I'm not home to watch for deliveries. I just have my specialist doctors print out my scripts then get them filled at IHS where I am also a patient. Dealing with IHS is easier than dealing with Optum RX

      Paid a bill on Sept. 27, 2022, then started receiving overdue payment notices. COntacted Optum Rx, they said there was no record of my payment. My bank account was debited on Sept. 30, 2022, another overdue payment received. Contacted them again, same story. Provided information on payment and debitiing information. Received another overdue payment notice, call Optum Rx AGAIN, gave them the check number, date sent ffrom my bank, date check was delivered, date of debiting my account, and a confirmation number, they said they had to look into. I iinformed them ther is no further decision to be made, a supervisor got on the line, said she would take care of everything and call me back. never happened.
