5 starsOur new windows made and installed by "Renewal by Andersen" are amazing. The quality is superb and the customer service was outstanding. In particular, Tamara *****, Project Coordinator for our service, was so helpful. From the start, we knew that worldwide service/shipping delays were going to be a factor, so it was clear it was going to take a few months between order and delivery. I was so impressed that Tamara regularly checked in with us during those months to remind us that the order was progressing and to see if we had any questions. As well, she was super timely in setting up our installation date once windows had arrived in town AND in reminding us of that date. She also checked in with us both days of installation, in case we had any questions or concerns. That type of service delivery is unusual and so very welcomed.
The technicians who installed the windows were polite, respectful and as tidy as possible. We have a small house, but they were so careful with our possessions. It was a stress-free process, and we knew we were in capable and caring hands. I would highly recommend getting your windows done by Renewal by Andersen - well worth the money.Review fromCarmen R

1 starMy complaint revolves around a project that took roughly 18 months to complete. I contracted to have 4 sliding doors installed on our sun room. Once the contract was signed and the installation date was decided, the installation was supposed to take one day to complete. We signed a finance contract through Green Sky that provided a 24 month interest free period to pay the charges.
Over the course of 18 months we experienced horrific workmanship and manufactured product defects. The day of the installation was a nightmare with a 5-man team, totally unqualified to do the job, took 10 hours and smashed the widow panel on our inside French door when one of the > 200 lb door panels fell on an aluminum ladder and smashed through the panel throwing glass fragments throughout our family room inside the house.
From this starting point (9-21-21) we were dealing with multiple company contacts (at RBA) and many work crews. There is not enough room in this review to list each and every detail of our construction process.
After the French door panel was replaced (I needed to order the panel from Lowes myself) by a RBA crew, a field Quality Control person came to assess the job and issues. It was determined that the entire job needed to be replaced and redone, including the frame, all 4 doors and surrounding siding and trim.
That installation was completed successfully, but one door panel developed a manuf defect and needed to be replaced. There were also some finish defects that needed to be addressed. This took another 4 months to order.
Now September 2022, the 3rd door panel gets installed and a strip on the bottom of the door was not properly affixed to the door. While installing the strip, the door split at the bottom of the door, now causing the door to not qualify for installation standards.
A 4th door now needed to be ordered and installed. On 12-8-23 the door was installed. I am awaiting response from RBA on a financial arrangement. RBA has received 100% of the fundsReview fromLaura T

1 starWe would give them zero stars but that option is not available.
We contracted with Anderson renewal windows after interviewing three companies. Our only concern was the noise level coming from street outside our master bedroom. They all claimed they had a superior product but we went with Anderson b/c they assured us of a major if not complete reduction of all noise (traffic, dogs barking, people talking etc)
After waiting 9 months, they arrived to install.
Four of the windows did not have the tempered and laminated glass we paid for. We had to get our attorney involved to receive a call from a VP from Anderson. After the second installation we still have no noticeable reduction of noise after paying >$14K for 8 windows!Review fromC. J.

I trusted the company that had a contract to install the windows in my home. I could not do it myself as I was caring for my aging parents. My old windows needed replacing and the guy who convinced us that Renewal by Andersen was the best. That once they were installed, no more worries and no more plastic. Showing us a sample of a window which was your basic window. That the old window would be removed and a whole new window put in and a guarantee of no more drafty windows. I cant even sit by my windows because of the drafts. And they didnt remove the old window they just cut around the the framework leaving the old frame still there. We have been take advantage of by ***************************. Many times having guys come in our home to try and fix the problem telling me they werent installed correctly from start. Charging approx. $18,000.00 and my heater runs constantly. But are you kidding me they put in like storm windows, they call them pocket windows. I didnt ask for pocket windows. The owner *********************** came out prior to install to verify the size needed and he confirmed that the old window would be removed and a new one put in place. That the large patio door would have the entire wood frame removed and flooring replaced if there was water damage. Oh they took the old wood frame out but did not repair the rotten floor. They just installed the new patio door/frame which whistles so much it hurts my dogs ears. Multiple times guys trying to fix the mess. Blaming the house for why the install isnt working. Using pry bars to try and level/square the windows themselves. Adding foam to to the tracks in hopes to stop the drafts, didnt work guys. We were taken advantage of in a huge way. The kitchen window was the wrong size so they removed the j channel and super caulked it. Being passed off to explain my issue. Solution for Renewal by Andersen, have a professional crew come and replace all the entire windows and put back brand new full windows like promiseRenewal by Andersen, LLC

Hi ******, first thank you for taking a moment to let us know about your experience. I'm very sorry it's been a negative one. It sounds like you opted for the Insert Window Installation method rather than the Full Frame Installation method. I'm sharing your feedback with the team you worked with right away so the team can look into this for you.C. J.

Hello, I have no idea what area I went to in the BBB. All I know is 3 plus years ago I was taken for a ride by Packerland by way of falsely representing themselves on product purchased. And the company knew about the wrongly installed windows 9 regular windows and 1 patio door. They insisted that I pay the full amount before work was concluded and before they fixed all the problems. Giving me their word. I contacted Green *** about this request and how I was not happy to start with, my new window install were not even square. Leaving large gap on one side and small gap on the other. And drafty by 1/4 to 1/2 inch frost on the inside of my house. And air blowing through moving the curtains. My furnace had a hard time keeping up and so did the air conditioning. Packerland secretary *** knows all about my situation. I found out after they got paid in full that Packerland lost their contract with Renewal. I sent a ***** word message in Renewals site where you leave a message of how well the work went. Almost in the same day a ******************* called me, he owned Tundraland at the time. He told me that most of the crew from Packerland got fired or left and came over to Tundraland. ***** also told me that he now had Renewal contract and that there was a lot of wrong installations in my area and they were hired to repair. ***** asked if I signed off on the project with Packerland. I told him no, but that Packerland *** told me they sold all the contracts to Tundraland except ours because they felt that it was such a botched job they wanted to make sure it was corrected immediately. I told ***** that there was no way I would have the same crew come in to fix the problem, he understood and said Packerland is having to settle all the cases because of the better business bureau was involved. ***** also said he was out for a vacation and he would get back to me after he gets back, that made me chuckle and he asked why? Whats funny? I told him that ********** wanted the other half of their money because *** was heading to ****** and *********************** was going on vacation somewhere else. And I am stuck with a botched job taking care of my aged parents which my mother was near death. Does that matter? Yes they took advantage of my situation as if I didnt care about the work. I was told that the old windows would be completely removed and new ones put in and that we wouldnt have to dispose of the old windows because that was in the bid. I signed my name once on a tablet, only after though, being promised that the contract and work order is in the mail. Making it very clear to the salesman that I did not believe in signing something without seeing the entire contract to include the break down of costs. He told me to trust him that the contract is seriously in the mail. That everything we discussed will be done correctly and I would not have any more drafts and my new windows will be the best investment ever. I never received a contract. It was only after repeated calls, they wanted me to make a date to start the project. *********************** came out to my house and confirmed the window size, explained how the old window will come out and the new one will be put in. That they will be able to reuse the wood around the windows because there was no mold that every single window will be properly sealed and new framework installed on the outside. The only thing on those windows I told everyone not to worry about was the trim on the inside. I had not decided how I wanted it to look, they all seen the lack of proper insulation and how I tried fixing the gaps myself. Guaranteeing a professional job will be done and absolutely no drafts ( my windows are drafty and very cold)I was told they would be able to reuse the **channel to save me some money. *********************** also explained, in depth, the full replacement of the patio door. How replacement will reveal rot on the floor. If that is the case it will all be replaced. That they would replace the gate on the outside which is required by our home owners insurance. *********************** had the contract I asked for but there was absolutely no break down on costs, what was costing what and labor. It was extra pressure that I, as a caregiver, didnt need and I have been kicking myself ever since. The company made me feel like I was locked in. Well the workers came and began work. Started with the master bedroom window. Taking a sawsall and cutting down the inside frame work of the window. Sharp jagged metal flying everywhere burning into my skin when one hit me 10 feet away. I quickly stopped the work and asked what exactly are they doing? Replying that this is how they remove the window. And I am like what?? I had to find something to cover my bed and triangle shape metal slivers everywhere. Clearly not At professional but I had to trust that they knew what they were doing. I am a fool by a million times over. I have been lied to and taken to the cleaners. ********** should never be able to work with windows ever. The windows were like storm windows. I only found out last fall that they are called pocket windows they left the frame of old windows in and put in an insert. NOT AT ALL WHAT I WAS TOLD WE WERE BUYING, for almost $*********. My mothers health was diminishing and I had my focus on her at her home and while I was gone the crew took advantage of my husband. And that (saving the j-channel) happened but not on the kitchen sink window. That window was too big for the opening they cut all the protective j-channel and have major caulk on the outside. There is so much cold air that comes in now, ridiculous beyond the word. Shameful. The patio door was replaced but it actually is a defect. There was damage done either by the workers or the manufacturer, which all the windows on the outside have defects. Its like they were factory rejects. Anyways there was rot on the floor under the patio door. All they did was put caulk over the top of the rot. They didnt even caulk around the outside of patio door. Or replace the siding on the bottom which I didnt know until I seen the basement wet. They missed some screws to secure the frame, the door is bowed so it has air leaks. A team had to come back and try to fix everything (almost impossible) but on the patio door you could see the outdoors allowing weather in so they caulked and they had to replace the rollers because of the huge draft, clearly not level or square. My dogs bark at the whistle when the wind blows on that side of the house. There was so much ice on the inside of my house when they came back they shoved foam in the grooves here and there. Basically everything I did with my old windows but my old windows werent this drafty. Many conversations with Packerland and then I guess ********** took over. But that is when covid hit. And my mother passed away, not from covid. Regardless things were not going to take place because of covid. Understandable, I am a full time caregiver to my 97 year old father and my 61 year old brother. My hands are full. I wish I would have just pulled someone from the street and had them help me, my mistake. I told everyone my situation and that this home was were I planned on retiring. Time went by with a couple phones to get back on schedule and a fix on everything to get what I paid for. Some guy came out and acted like he worked at Tundraland and he was going to take my information and relay that to Renewal and the problem will get fix. That there was a lot of botched jobs in my area from Packerland. That Packerland had to fix and make good on their contracts. Well where are my expensive non drafty high quality windows? ********** sent a crew out to my home and they had to use heavy pry bars to try and square my windows wrecking the side of window frame work. Making gaps in what was once a prefect seal. They spent 3 hours on just one window it was so bad and they couldnt fix it their day was done. The crew all said the windows were not installed correctly and unless it becomes a complete install they will never be correct. Where is my $********* windows? One guy had to ask me how much did we pay for the job? I asked him, what should it have cost? About *****.00- $10,000.00 but you would get some quality windows for the $10,000.00. I paid $********* for this window job, he couldnt believe what he heard and had to sit down in disgust. Packerland to advantage of you. I agreed, now I want what I paid for, or I want s refund and no more monthly payment to Green***. The last crew that came out wasnt even from Tundraland. Honestly I only found out that they were from windows solution, when two guys showed up to replace the entire patio door and frame. They came with no scaffolding but told me they had a new door and the rest would be fine. That was it, I had it. A crew came in before the last straw and tried their best to fix the botched job. The first day they spent quality time in repairing and installing the wood stuff around the interior window which dressed the window up. I had in depth conversation that Renewal was not going to replace the (pocket windows) but make them look like a quality window with fixing the drafts. Everyone that worked on the windows are shocked on how the first installers didnt do the job correctly. The second day the guys came back and they brought more workers. Well guys my windows are super drafty. The wood work is okay but not perfect. As they struggled with the squaring and sealing ( dont think that really was done correctly) the crew began to blame the house. They said it will be impossible to really fix the windows because I have a manufacture home and (pocket windows) dont work good in type of home. I didnt order pocket windows and I definitely paid for real windows snd the work that goes into it. When those two guys showed up and felt it was okay just to have a new patio door that was the last straw. Did Renewal put them up to this? I refused to have them just give me a door and skip the entire process of repair to include my rotten floor. I have a brand new frame that was ordered because of the damage to the frame around the patio doors. I know I signed an iPad after each day of work was through but was told it was just me signing to say they arrived and worked. That was probably a lie too. I never signed anything with my knowledge of satisfaction. I wrote to you this weekend because of the air that was flowing through my home. My furnace trying to keep up and my dads bedroom having to have an electric heater to help keep him warm. Who does that with ********* windows and is happy? No one, my curtains were moving and my husband was clearly voicing his opinion. Rightfully so. I couldnt even sit by my writing desk without freezing. What a joke and frankly pathetic. I didnt deserve to be taken advantage of. I did reach out to ******** after my last straw. They told me from the start they would protect my interest as I have a loan with them. That is not the case, I only received an email that stated they attempted to call me but failure to respond on my part is basically case resolved. It is far from resolved, where is my ********* windows? Thank you for your time Respectfully *********************
