1 starI signed a contract with Renewal by ******** March 2022. We were planning on having our windows and doors replaced due to water damage, but in April 2022 we found out our home had more issues thay we're unknown to us at the time. Replacing the windows and doors was not going to fix our problem, infact because we would be in so much debt to renewal by Andersen, we wouldn't even have the means to fix the real issue and our house was litterally rotting all around us with every rain storm. I immediately reached out to our representative and voiced all my concerns to him and eventually decided we needed to take matters into our own hands. Renewal by ******** told me over and over that they had my best interest in mind but that wasn't the case because they were not listening to me at all! I asked them how much I would need to pay to get out of the contract and they said I could. There's no amount I could play to get out of the contract. That's not right! I begged and pleaded with their managers on several phone calls and they said there's nothing that can be done except to allow them to install the windows, but my husband and I and a couple Amish guys already rebuilt my entire house and redid all the windows and doors, walls, roof, siding .... Litterally everything so I can't have them undo it just to install their overpriced windows!Review fromA. M.

I have been getting spammed by these people and their affiliates daily. Not every once in a while but daily. Up to 2 times a day. Why? Would anyone do that? It only ****** me off more and more. I will never, ever buy an Anderson window or door or any other product made by Anderson. I have tried to get my name off their list, but it looks like it only increases the amount of spam you get. These people are evil.

It is clearly a lie. The spam continues. I am getting so much spam it is ridiculous. This is a company that you can't trust with their promises. I wish I could post a picture of the enormous number of spam emails from these people.Review fromDen G

** 2020 had several windows and doors replaced. One in particular was a replacement window with a half moon shape window above. These windows are located above a garage. After the very first rain the windows leaked. They came out 3 weeks later to assess. Then sent someone out to handle the work. After the very next rain the window leaked again. This happened 2 more times. Each time it takes them 2/3 weeks to assess. And then more time to correct. The last time they just caulked the windows. The 2 people said they used 10 tubes of caulking. Fast forward to September 2022 the same windows leaked again. I called waited 3 weeks for an appointment. When the person came out to assess he did not bring a ladder. Said he would not be doing that today. Stepped on my new wood work which I had to install because they wrecked the wall to the left, right and bottom of the window (after the fact, they told me this was to be expected), **** out the window and said he couldn't see anything. Again I asked about looking from the outside he said he was not here to do that. I responded with, but the water is coming from the outside. No response. I also told him there appears to be a reddish substance coming in and that it could be mold. No response. I called on the office the day of the appointment and was told they would get someone out this week. I still have not heard and do not have an appointment. I sent an email to one person who said they would forward my message. They just can't handle issues that come about after the initial install. Really, no ladderRenewal by Andersen, LLC

Terrible. And here is why... The Renewal/******** product is severely overpriced. You know this going into it, but they sell you on the customer service, quality of the product, professionalism, efficiency, etc... Our project (which cost us tens of thousands of dollars) was left incomplete because of a shipping error with one of our *************** currently left with a boarded up, plywood window in our dining room, heading into mid-October. No one can tell ** how long until the correct window will arrive, and how long our home will be left under construction. We did receive an EMAIL (not a phone call) updating us that it will be at least another week until they even get a shipping time-line. The part of the overall project that is currently unresolved cost us 16k alone, and the company seems to be doing everything possible to avoid any sort of financial liability on their end. No discount has been offered, nothing but empty apologies. We are financing 33k to do an 11 window project with some minor addition/header work. Our original sales agent, who assured us her services throughout the process has been nowhere to be found, with a full voice-mail box, and our project liason has done nothing but stall with apologies. Meanwhile, we are left with a plywood window for a minimum of weeks (if not months for all we know). That's not to even mention that the crew was here an extra day from what was told to us, disrupting our work schedules, and they STILL need to return for at least 1 more day now in the future.It seems clear that they expect us to pay the top-dollar, full price, regardless of the inconvenience they have caused. Keep in mind, ******** is a multi-BILLION dollar corporation, seemingly with no personal liability. Highly recommend paying half the price and hiring a private contractor. The service will not be much different, and quite possibly better.Renewal by Andersen, LLC

3 starsI retired after 40+ years from the construction/window industry. I have sold millions of dollars of windows. Renewal By ******** is a good window, but is way over priced. There are other composite windows and vinyl windows out there that are just as good and cost half the price. Of the millions of dollars I have sold not one was a Renewal By ********. If you experience air leakage and such issues it is not the windows it's how they were installed.Review fromKeith D

I had Renewal by Andersen install windows in two prior residences and both were great experiences...if something was wrong or I just needed a question answered, the local service team was there to help.Moved to **********, ** and had all of the main level windows replaced as well as my patio and front doors. Some of the windows were sliding windows (instead of double hung) and you couldn't even lift the windows out of the track to clean the outside of the glass (the whole point of the replacement). After 5 years of frustration, I broke down and had 5 sliders replaced with 10 double hung units...glad I made the change...much better design than the slider. After three months passed, I noticed that there was damage to the exterior trim caulk that was caused either by the removal or reinstallation of one of the windows...I wrote to them and sent pics of the area affected by their rework, on Sept 24, 2022...I heard nothing and resent the original letter again on 10/2/2022...finally heard back today (10/7/2022) ...We have looked at your photos, thank you for reaching out. After reviewing, and checking the original install date of 5/27/22, I can send a technician out but the cost is billable to you. Caulking is not a covered expense and not covered as part of the warranty. Please let me now if you would like to have a technician out to provide a quotation for this service. Thank you for your time.After spending $49k plus between the initial install and the rework, this is my response...a far cry from my other experiences...very disappointing.**********************************, **Renewal by Andersen, LLC

I had Renewal by Andersen replace all windows and doors in 2019 and I have been very pleased with them since. Last week I had to visit the showroom to have a storm window screen either replaced or rescreened due to a squirrel who ate through it. The service team was so nice to look at it then decide to replace the screening on the spot for no charge!Very pleased ??Holly K.

1 star9/29 Called *** to get replacement weather stripping and vinyl seals for windows placed in **** for a family member. At first, they are were very helpful. They asked for the address of the house that I am working on to match the part numbers. Once I gave them the address, the lady went quiet. "Oh, looks like we gave these people a quote" She said "heres the deal, you're going to need" and quoted me a ridiculous amount knowing the costumer has no other option but to hire them. Just for reference I have been in the glass business for 15 years as a ******* with years of residential windows knowledge. Very frustrated I went to the Roseville location, where I was told originally, I would need to pick up the materials after I purchase. Again, at first, very helpful. Once they looked up the address of the job "to identify the windows". They told me they can't find the model of the windows or the replacement parts. When questioning them about the previous conversation I had on the phone earlier, they became upset them me and refused to connect me to anyone to explain their practices. After many hours and repeated dead ends, if I did't have the experience in windows, I would have given up resulting in hiring them to install replacement parts or installing all brand new windows.Review fromBEth D

NOT A STANDY BUSINESS. Received windows 2 years now. They talked me into getting one big window to replace two small windows. Windows came, Windows put in but this one window is over 44 inches and only has one. repeat one, 4 inch pull hand to open this window. The window is too big just to have one. I have other windows smaller that have two pull handles and this one only has one. We have been going back and forth with them tellling me that it is in the contract. I never thought they would put in a small little bitty pull up handle. Even a grown man can not open this window with out having two or a much larger handle. This window cost alot of money and I can't even use it.Called ******** only to be told that I had to call Renewal by ********, and all they say it was in the contract. I don't have money to have a product I can not use. This year when the weather was nice i could not open this window. file a complainant with bbb but they can't find my original complainant . I just hope this makes them happy they ripped off a single mom who adult son is disabled. How can they live with them self. Every time I try to warn people on face book what they have done, they take down my review, hiding the truth and scamming others. also, these full length window screens are for the birds,Renewal by Andersen, LLC
