  I called in the morning and they were out the same day. Gary was amazing! Was able to get a reasonable price and he did an incredible job installing our kitchen faucet. He was also very helpful in explaining all aspects of what he did and the warranty coverage. He was extremely polite and highly knowledgeable. Highly recommend McQuillans!! And Gary

  I left a review a few days ago about how McQuillan left our 6 unit condo complex high and dry during the coldest snap of the winter. With our heat not working correctly and all our units cold, we had an appointment in place with them for the next day (soonest available). However they then called later that day reporting they were no longer working on buildings with more than 4 units and good luck to us. We had been on an exclusive service contract since they installed our boilers in 2015. We felt abandoned.
  I received a call from their GM today explaining that this was a significant miscommunication within their office and he apologized. Since I can not find my original BBB review listed here to addend, I feel only fair to write again reporting that McQuillan is trying to make it right, which I do respect.

  Mom was in a real bind with no heat in her home for over a week. I had a few different companies out to bid a new furnace. I wanted to get her out of the guest bedroom as soon as possible but not spend an arm and a leg. First quote I got was 18k and that was way outside of my price range McQuillan wasnt the lowest bid but they were the only company that I didnt think was blowing hot air (pun intended). Up front pricing and they had it installed next day. Not cheap, but I wasnt looking for cheap.

  I recently had the service department out to my home. An excellent service department and very friendly staff. They arrived on time and were very informative as to what my needs were. I believe their pricing was fair. I would definitely recommend McQuillan Home Service

  I was definitely overcharged, I called to get my shower drain cleared. They charged me $568.00 and the guy who cleared the drain took about 45 minutes of actual work. He brought a machine up cleared the drain and left. It was not a hard job, seriously who charges over $500 for less than 60 minutes of work. I feel like I was taken advantage of as a single mom because they claim that this is a very reasonable amount of money to charge and they charge by the job before they do the work, not by the amount of time it takes. After reading other reviews though it looks like they just take advantage of anyone who doesn't know better. I wished I had never gone with them but I was stressed and exhausted from dealing with a sick child and went against my better judgement and had them clear the drain for me. Would not recommend this company, the plumber was a nice guy but I feel like I was taken advantage of. I should have just paid the visit fee and cleaned it out myself, pretty sure it was just plugged up with hair.

  Mcquillan is awesome!
  My furnace went out when I had family over. I called McQuillan and they were out right away to look at my issue and fix the problem. I will be calling McQuillans anytime I have an issue in my house. Amazing Company!

  I had a great experience every time I called them. The tech was out the same day I called the first time. My kitchen faucet was leaking water every time I ran the water. I had family coming out the next day for dinner so I had to have it repaired right away. They figured out what it was (the pull out part of the sprayer hose was loose.) They saved me from having to have a whole new faucet put in. I used them when my A/C quit on me in the summer. They were the ONLY company I was able to get to come out right away. I won't call anyone else!

  I should probably give 2 stars, since the work was done satisfactorily. However, $650 per hour charge is just too high to justify more than 1 star.
  I called a number of radiant heat repair specialists when the radiant heat went out in our basement. Luckily, we have a separate furnace to heat the upstairs, so we were not out of heat entirely. I selected McQuillan, since they could come out within 2 days (on a
  Saturday), and their service call charge was $69.
  Saturday morning, the McQuillan dispatcher called and indicated that we needed to reschedule as one of their repairmen called in sick. So, we scheduled it for Tuesday.
  I had diagnosed the issue to either the circulation pump or the plate heat exchanger, and sent pictures to McQuillan so the repair person could have replacement parts. These, of course, did not make it to the repairman.
  The McQuillan repairman arrived around 4:30 PM on Tuesday, and agreed with my diagnosis. He provided a couple of estimates. The first, $1692, to replace the circulation pump. The second was for an additional $4536 to also replace the plate heat exchanger and 2 faulty gauges.
  Since the repairman was there, had a replacement pump, and given the busy time of year, I agreed to have the circulation pump replaced. Despite what seemed like a high cost. It was around 5:30 PM when he started replacing the pump. He was done by 6:30 PM. So the pump replacement took about 1 hour.
  The final bill came to $1550 (and change). I found out that the pump sells on Amazon for about $250. Thus, McQuillan charged us over $1300 to replace the pump, or $1300 per hour for the 1 hour the repairman worked to replace the pump.
  I should have just called a plumber, they only charge $300 per hour.

  If $1550 for an hour of work is "fair and competitive", maybe I should start a home services business. I could charge 1/3 what McQuillan charges ($500 per hour) and still make $1 million per year.
