      We are in receipt of the complaint from **** **********, forwarded to our office through the portal on June 26, 2025. Upon receipt of your correspondence, we reviewed our records and found that the name of the complainant does not match the consumer's name for the account provided. As such, Credit Control cannot respond to the allegations in this complaint due to the risk of third-party disclosure.

      The consumer indicated the account subject to his complaint may have been opened fraudulently. Fraud claims should be investigated directly by the creditor of record. The consumer may initiate a fraud investigation by filing a claim online directly with ******* at ************************************ or via telephone by calling the ******* **************** at ************, Option 3 and then Option 1. Please note, a police report or FTC ID Theft Affidavit Form is required for ******* to investigate the consumers claim regarding this account.

      I honestly dont get why CREDIT CONTROL SERVICE is reporting this debt under my name because I dont owe them anything. I never signed anything with them, and when I asked for a copy of the original application, they didnt even bother to provide it. Its frustrating because this is hurting my credit for no reason, and its just not fair. How can they just put something on my report without any proof?Account No: ******** Amount Disputed: $277

      This collection agency has emailed me twice, June 9 and June 20, 2025 concerning payment of an account that is not mine. Has incorrect name, uses **** *. That is not my name. I have not received any phone calls or anything in the mail. So that lets me know they have the wrong person. I do not own any accounts ending in #****. This is not on my credit report.

      I started receiving daily texts from this company claiming I have a **************** debt that they are collecting on. However, I'm unable to access this account and I have not received any other correspondence related to it. I don't have any debts on my credit report and have no knowledge of what this debt could be.When I try to call Credit Control, their phone tree system seems designed to never actually let callers in. Each time I call it follows the same pattern:Initially it says I am 3rd in line with a wait of 1 min. Every minute or so, it requires me to press 2 to keep waiting on the line. After a few repetitions it says that I am now 5th in line. After a few more repetitions it says I am 3rd in line again. Finally, after ~10+ minutes and having to press 2 several times, the next time I press 2 it just immediately hangs up.

      2025. Upon receipt of your correspondence, we documented this complaint and
      forwarded a copy to our client, U.S. Bank National Association.

      In reviewing
      our file, we find that the account was placed for collection assistance with
      our office on June 9, 2025, at which time our initial communication was sent to
      the consumer notifying them of our representation. It should be noted that
      Credit Control is not the current or historical owner of the account subject to
      this complaint. The account in question was placed with Credit Control for
      third-party collection services only. Since the account was placed in our office by our client, the information
      was provided by U.S. Bank
      National Association when it was placed with Credit Control.

       In response to this complaint, we have ceased
      collections for this account and the phone number called on June 17, 2025, has
      been removed from our system of records.
