No recourse for bad sellers. I spent hard earned money, never received my item, and now must wait 30 days to even attempt to dispute the charge with Paypal.

We’re sorry that the seller did not ship this item as required. This is very unexpected given the seller has been on Swappa for about a year and has had four previously successful sales.
That said, on Swappa, there is recourse for sellers who do not ship. The seller in this sale has already had their account held and restricted, and if they continue ignoring this sale – they will be banned from Swappa.

I was banned immediately upon signing up, never received any reason why I was banned except for a blanket email showing their terms. There was no way to contact them over the phone (frustrating), but they were quickly taking the money out of my bank account (It took less than 10 minutes). Please don't buy from here unless you want to spend hours disputing charges for a phone you won't get, for a ban they won't tell you what caused it. It appears the only way to find out what you were banned for is to comment here. Unfortunately, I cannot leave this vendor 0 stars. Very frustrating to immediately have $250+ removed from your account and no actual correspondence, outside of a blank cookie-cutter email that shows the terms of service, with no unique identifiable rule broken.

It appears you created multiple Swappa accounts, both of which were flagged by our automated systems and suspended due to possible connections to other fraudulent accounts.
This decision was not made lightly or without careful consideration. We understand this is frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but the decision is final.
Neither account had a successful purchase, but it is possible you may see a pending authorization on your credit card due to the attempted purchase. A pending authorization generally drops off a credit card account within a few business days, but the timeline is set and controlled by your card issuer.

5 starsPurchased a Galaxy Z Flip 5 from farewellcell. Great experience and was glad to purchase a second hand device, saving e-waste and making the most of upcycling a device. I received the device exactly as pictured and the seller was quick to ship the device. I will be using Swappa again.
