Seller "Solid Solutions 23 LLC " sold used, refurbished phone as mint condition. Swappa approved the listing and is equally at fault. Walmart has the same phone refurbished for $58. This is the definition of a scam. Anyone can put up a listing of a used or repaired phone and mark it as mint. Sale should be null and void. Seller is fraud. Phone is for a 68-year-old man with epilepsy and bell's palsy

On Swappa, a repaired/refurbished phone can be listed in Mint condition provided it is in pristine condition, has no signs of wear and tear, and any repairs are noted in the listing description.
Regarding the item you purchased – the seller noted the following in the listing description: “The battery was recently replaced.” This is why our team was not able to force the seller to accept a return.

2 starsI had used Swappa for couple of years. In the past year and half, I've had two issues. Both of which, Swappa did not resolve.
First one was, I had paid for a Sony PS5 to buy from a Seller who had no Seller feedback. I promptly paid via PayPal G&S. I received an email saying they will ship immediately.
Then I never heard from the Seller, even after sending multiple messages. I had alerted Swappa Admin but they basically sent the same message I sent to the Seller. Telling the Seller to provide status.
Couple of more days go by, and nothing was resolved. I was still out of the funds that I had paid. Swappa is basically telling me to contact PayPal. I asked if they validate the Sellers to determine the probability of legitimacy. They said they make sure that the Seller is legit. I asked how they did that. No response. Finally, I got refund from PayPal after the wait time for the Seller to response has expired.
Another issue was, the Seller listed items included in the purchase. But did not include one of the time. I contacted the Seller for the item. They said they forgot to include it. But when I asked for the OEM charger, they said they include after market. They also offered few dollars in exchange that I get it on my own. The listing did not mention "after market" but they said they only include aftermarket. Anyway, going back and forth, finally I decided to buy on my own used on eBay. Seller did eventually sent a used aftermarket charger.
I'm done with Swappa, they only care about the Seller.Review fromJohn B

I guess this site is fine if everything goes well. However, their aftersale service is non-existent after the buyer is obviously scammed. I spent over $1k to buy an ipad but when it's obvious that the seller did not follow through and provided a tracking that did not send to my address after I posted various proof. The staff disappeared after initial respond asks for the seller to respond. And after 2 days of the seller not responding, despite of my multiple follow ups, the staff never responded to me other than the purchase suddenly showed as "failed" with no explanations. I already submitted a dispute with paypal. but the way this company just ignores you after any issue that comes up after the purchase, without any guidance on how to proceed, or worse, without any sign of them caring about their customers, is unacceptable.Swappa, LLC
