  When buying our house in 12/20 when purchased a home warranty through AB May, we did not have need for any service for 3+ years until the end of February 2024 when our hot water heater went out (for clarity this was a simple 40 gal tanked heater). We contacted AB May and they sent out a plumber, to our surprise we were given a quote of nearly $4,000 and told our warranty would have a $2,000 credit applied so our out of pocket cost was roughly $2,000. This seemed high to us especially given that we were under the impression that we would be covered if something like this were to happen. I declined the service and contacted a couple other companies who both gave estimates around $2,000 (one slightly under, the other slightly over). It seems AB May collects $60 to $70 a month for a home warranty, claiming to cover needed home repairs only to charge approximately $2,000 more than competitors and then to give a $2,000 credit for having a home warranty, ultimately costing the homeowner the same as it would of without ever having purchased the home warranty. After this we promptly cancelled our home warranty contract. We would highly recommend not purchasing a home warranty through AB May.

  I have been a longtime ABMAY customer & normally do not do reviews, but I want to give a special shout out to 2 people: Zack B put in my tankless water heater & Gate W was the electrician who put in the outlet & updated my electrical box. Both of these people did an exceptional job & were informative as well as easy to communicate with. Martin M helped Gate with the second portion of the electrical work & also did a good job. I will definitely be using these people if I have a problem in the future.

  ABMay was contracted to repair my sewer line break. They were on time, punctual and very professional and personal. The work was completed in record time and the sidewalk was replaced with new concrete which is drying now. Cannot express my gratitude and appreciation for a job well done. Ismael and others were great to work with and kept me in the loop all during the work. Again, they were amazing and my new HVAC/Plumbing contractor ! !

  Technicians arrived on time, were courteous and careful in my home. They explained the new system and were knowledgeable. Work was completed in the time frame expected. Cleaned up after they finished.

  Kamryn P***** was ready to get the job done and knew what he was doing. The work was fast and he added a place to document the time the bulb was installed so I can better track replacement in the future. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very polite. It was a pleasure to have him in my house.

  Kale and his partner were here today to do the vent cleaning on my HVAC system. They did an awesome job and explained every aspect as they were doing it which was extremely helpful. As normal A.B.May always seems to have very knowledgeable people when they send someone out to do work. Thanks
