      The experience with this company has been so bad. I ordered the bareroot plants in early March. They were going to ship a little later in March. I got an email the shipping date was changing a week back. Then another its changing back another week, again, and again. At this point they stopped emailing me updates and kept changing the date of expected shipping on the website order status nearly every single day and never bothered to alert me by email, phone, or anything. Then over a month after the original expected shipping date I finally called because I was going on vacation. I couldnt get through and had to leave a voicemail. I wanted to make sure they didnt ship it while I was gone at that point. Well, I never got a call back. I never left my order number or anything in the voice mail. My order did get delayed, but I doubt it had anything to do with me calling and getting no one, because it kept changing again afterward still. I finally got my plants 2 months after the expected ship date. Their bareroot plants they chopped the roots significantly meaning they are weaker plants than they should be. I got them toward the end of May and here we are a couple weeks later about to get a heat wave and they arent fully established. Barely leafing out and stressed. These are columnar Apples for context. So, if it was just one order that would be another thing. I have another order and they are doing the same exact thing with it. I ordered it in early April before I realized how bad they are and now its being pushed back (at least they emailed me this time) to August now. Original shipping was early-mid May. What makes this so bad is I get emails about sales multiple times a week. Take care of your existing orders first! You can even find items in your order that they claim you can order a fresh order and they are shipping on or before the things you ordered months ago.

      Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the frustration and inconvenience youve encountered throughout this process.
      Unfortunately, at the beginning of this season, we faced significant and unexpected shipping logistics challenges paired with severe weather issues, which set us back considerably. These delays caused us to miss many of our estimated shipping windows. Please understand that when working with live nursery stock, our shipping dates are always estimates because the plants must meet health and size standards before they can safely ship. If our growers determine that the plants are not ready, we push the ship date back rather than risk sending you a plant that may not survive.
      We also regret that our communication fell short. During our busiest season, our phone lines and email response times became overwhelmed, which is not the level of service we aim to provide. We absolutely understand how it feels to be left without timely updates. Our system updates the shipping status online as soon as new information is available from the nursery or the shipping team, but we should have been more proactive in reaching out directly to you.
      Regarding the bareroot plants, bareroot stock is typically trimmed to balance the root system with the top growth to improve transplant success. However, if you believe the plants you received were substandard, we absolutely want to make that right. we would be happy to review the health of your plants and provide a resolution, whether that be replacements or a refund.
      As for your additional order, I can assure you Ive escalated this to our shipping department to see if we can prioritize it for you. I understand how discouraging it is to see marketing emails for items when your order is still pending. Those emails are automatically sent . However, orders are fulfilled in the order they are received, and we do not prioritize new orders over older ones.
      We truly appreciate your patience and the opportunity to correct this. A member of our support leadership team will be reaching out to you directly to personally assist you and ensure we find the best solution moving forward.

      I have been getting my fruit trees and plants from Stark for years. Everything is growing, green and healthy. **************** is great with quick responses and making sure you get the best plants!

      Stark Bro's has always provided quality plants, excellent advice, and awesome customer service. When we lost a fruit tree over winter a prompt refund was offered, this just further emphasizes why I invest in their products.

      I ordered an ornamental locust tree that was delivered fine and with planting instructions which I followed. The tree had significant growth through the summer. But in spring (after NY winter) it was obvious the tree died. After sending Stark Bros a warranty claim with scratch test, they gave me an option of credit or refund as they did not have a the replacement tree in stock.They were good to work with on the original purchase and warranty claim. I will buy from them again.

      Hello! I just wanted to leave you folks a raving review of the Millennium Asparagus Crowns that I ordered from you! I was a little apprehensive about my order after reading some negative reviews about supposed dead plants arriving, but these people must have had the brownest thumbs on earth, because every single crown I planted(including the bonus one you sent :) ! Thanks!!) sprouted in record time!! Ive read that it usually takes two weeks for the crowns to push up growth, but these started pushing up numerous shoots in less than a week! Amazing! I am so excited to have many years of asparagus crops to enjoy thanks to your fine plants! Keep up the good work!

      The communication has been horrendous to say the least. Ordered a pink lemonade blueberry **** that was supposed to arrive 06/01 and still haven't received or heard back. Mutiple emails and phone calls have been done in attempt to rectify the situation.

      We are currently in our peak season, and as a result, both our email and call volumes are much higher than usual. While we typically aim to respond to emails within 12 business days, we are unfortunately experiencing longer response times due to the increased demand. We sincerely appreciate your patience during this time.

      Regarding your order, please note that shipping dates are estimated. With live plants, its nearly impossible to guarantee a specific delivery date because factors like plant readiness and weather conditions can impact timing. That said, your order is ready to ship the delay is due to shipping logistics, and not the availability of the plant itself.

      I have personally forwarded your order to our shipping department with a request to prioritize it. Once your order is packed and loaded with ****** youll receive a separate email with your tracking information.

      I ordered 2 red currant plants in April. Payment was made and taken out of my account by ********************** Bros. Promised shipping date was 1st week in May. Then a week later, postponed to 2nd week of May. Then- you guessed it- another e-mail promising by 1st week in June. On May 15th, they e-mailed they were upping the ship date to the last week of May.I called today and they said now that they wouldn't be shipping until late June or maybe July. The representative wasn't sure why there was a delay so obviously July may not have been possible. They never e-mailed or contacted me with updates since the 15th. Cancelled order. Horrible, dishonest sales department.

The estimated ship dates we provide are based on when the grower anticipates the plants will be ready. However, with live nursery stock, nature can be unpredictable, and sometimes plants need a little more time to meet quality standards for safe transplanting. This is not unique to our nursery and is common across the industry.
      We prefer to delay shipment rather than send a plant that may not survive or thrive, as our priority is to ensure you receive healthy, successful plants.
      I do see that your order was canceled and a full refund has been processed. It should reflect back to your original payment method within 3 business days.

      I ordered $300 worth of trees and other fruiting plants on 4/2/2025, and the estimated delivery date I was given was 4/12. Nothing was ever shipped. There were no e-mail notifications, but when I logged onto the Web Site, I could see a new delivery date was scheduled each time the arrival date was missed. This went on for 6 weeks and I contacted Stark Brothers through their online ticketing system, seven days later I received a response that my order was shipped and the estimated delivery date was in 5 days (it was a partial order, since the Granny ***** trees I ordered were sold out). I had my wife call the next day to see what they could do for us and we found out the order hadn't actually been shipped after all. We then cancelled the order. At this point I've waited almost two months for a shipment that never happened and it is now too late to plant the items I ordered. I feel this was purposeful deception. The excuse provided to my wife was that there were problems with the grower providing the Granny ***** trees, which were a small part of my order. And today, Granny ***** trees are still on sale on the Web Site, even though the customer service *** my wife talked to stated they are not available. And note that they charged me that full amount on the day of my order, 4/2, for the items I ordered and never shipped them. We're awaiting a refund now. Judging by my experience, this is no longer a ***utable company.

      I can't say enough about the ** support I received in getting a couple trees replaced that did not survive the winter. I was just looking for some advice on what I may have or have not done and they informed me of their warranty and shipped me replacements without any hassle. These guys are the Bomb!The other trees I purchased at the same time are looking and doing great. I highly recommend them for any purchases.
