On May 27, 2023 I ordered two light bulb security cameras. I received the cameras on May 30, 2023. While making a recent payment to my credit card, I noticed a charge from Dot Com Products for *****. After further investigation I discovered that they had been charging my card the ***** from May 30, 2023 until now (February 24, 2024). I contacted my credit card company and disputed the charges. I did not sign up for whatever this is that they are charging me for. I paid a for the products and shipping in full. It looks like he signed up for a subscription with his purchase. It is stated on the first order that he made. Since he saying he did not sign up for it, we can reimburse the $14.95 charge. We can, however, only go only back six cycles per our policy. The customer must contact us directly in order to get his reimbursement.Initial Complaint

On 11/3/23 I ordered 5 DCP light bulb cameras from dotcomproducts. I received the cameras on 11/7/23. Contacted dotcomproducts for return instructions on 11/21/23. Return policy states unused in same condition as received within 30 days. Dotcomproducts said would refund first half of $106.86 allow 7-10 days. Other half upon arrival of cameras. On 11/22/23 mailed **** tracking #**** 5158 2321 3326 5340 97. Package was received on 11/28/23. Contacted dotcomproducts on 1/8/24, 1/22/24, 2/5/24, 2/9/24 about not receiving refund. I recently bought three of your cameras for use in the front of my house.1: I watched the video on you tube several times before purchasing and installing the cameras.2: It doesn't always record activity. I backed out of my garage and left the premises and nothing was recorded on my sim card.3. on the ******* video it says nothing about only getting 6 seconds of recording with the sim card, and to get the full recording you have to buy the cloud.I no longer have the boxes these cameras came in, but I can wrap them up in bubble wrap to safely send back to you for a full refund. Not telling the customer about the limitations of not paying for the cloud is misleading. I watched the ******* video several times. ******************************************* No where in the video does it say you "only get a 6 second video recording. You have to order the cloud to get the full recording." I feel like I was duped.Business Response

I ordered 6 solar lights without 2 sided tape, the salesperson called and said he could include 2 sided tape at a lower price. I agreed and he was supposed to cancel the first order. Instead I received 12 solar lights. I was charged ***** & ***** and both orders were combined as one under CAC42D159D. Therefore I had to return the entire order in order to get a refund. This cost me $35.40 in postage. The company refunded only the cost of the lights $190.16 but refuses to pay half the postage. If their employee hadn't made that mistake, I wouldn't have returned anything but since he doubled my order, I feel the company should pay at least half the postage. They refuse saying the issue has been closed since they refunded the cost of the orders. If they had just sent what I ordered that would have been the end. Their employee made the mistake by doubling my ordering and now I'm out $35.40 in postage. I feel they should refund at least $17.70 - that's half the postage that I had to pay.Customer Answer

Forgot to include the date of the original order to DotCom, it was 12-22-23. And when I saw my bank statement and realized that were processing a double order in error, I called them and asked them to cancel the order. They claimed that order was already submitted and they couldn't cancel but when I checked the status on line, it just said "Label created".
They made it impossible to cancel the order before it was even shipped. I even received an email advising that due to the volume of orders for that product, there would be a delay in shipping. I called again and asked to cancel, they advised they couldn't cancel because the order was already processed. It wasn't until 2 weeks later that I got an email advising that they order was shipped. I have reviewed the business' response and am rejecting it because: My complaint was because it cost me $35 to send back the "double order" that they had sent to me in error. They did refund the total cost of the items that I was charged but it was their mistake in sending me twice the amount of items that were ordered. The representative was supposed to cancel order #1 and then submit order #2. Instead both orders were combined as one and sent to me. It cost me $35 in postage to mail back the order. Since it was their mistake, I didn't feel that I should have to pay the postage to return.
If they had just sent me the one order, instead of twice what I ordered, there wouldn't have been an issue. Thank you.

We cancelled our order on 12/19/2023 for Dot com products. We have called about four times about our refund and they have yet to refund our money. Bought a Light Socket Security Camera from Dot.Com using PayPal. Hard to install. I was not told prior to sale that a subscription was needed that could be $100 or $200 dollars. I called to learn how to return the product, but lost the call and could not call back after three attempts. Asked for refund through PayPal and almost immediately was emailed that a replacement would be sent. I never asked for a replacement. I complained to my credit card company who processed the refund pending further inquiry. Still waiting on PayPal. Dot.com emailed that they were replacing the bulb and when I did contact they said they cancelled the order, but instead I received a flash drive that I didnt order, but was notified of the order by email. I have not even opened the envelope it came in. I have no need for the flash drive and wonder if it is infected.Business Response

I ordered a security camera from this company. When I was setting it up it I declined the storage service that they offered. The camera broke during setup and theyre making me pay shipping back to get a refund. Additionally they keep charging me ***** a month for something Ive never seen. I have called each time and told them to cancel it then it happens again the next month. Theyre hiding behind PayPal and charging people for things they never receive. Apparently its some discount on everyday products that never shows up. This company is a complete scam and they will not stop charging me for things I dont want or receive.Customer Answer

Date of purchase: 12-15-23 I purchased 4, EZ Pro portable vacuums. My total bill for the 4 of them minus a small DCP Perks reward was $198.14.Product Sku DCP-EZVacPro My order number is AC816634A5.What I received were 4, Suitu brushless motor vacuum cleaners. Model #ST-6645Pro.And although they look very similar to each other, the Suitu vacuum cleaners have less attachments and is just a cheaper version. I looked them up on Amazon and they retail for $14.99, way cheaper than what I purchased.I tried calling ***************** on the number listed, ************, and all I got was a busy signal many, many times. I tried chatting with them but they were not helpful and just asked me to file a complaint.I have no other issues right now except that they didn't send me what I paid for. If they for some reason are unable to send me the EZVacPro vacuum cleaners that I purchased, then I would like a full refund.
