I feel like this company, Lariat Automotive Group, doesn't get the credit they deserve for the job they do helping their customers. Coming on here and reading the reviews might give someone a chance to not do business with them, but when I tell you they helped me, THEY REALLY HELPED ME. I had an issue with my engine and naturally took it in and needed a new engine. After everything was completed I came out of pocket $280.46 VS. $4257.33!!! After my $100 deductible and diagnostic fee/taxes I really saved $3976.87. JUST WOW! I will recommend them to anyone I know! THANKS AGAIN! And another thank you is deserved for ******. She went above and beyond to help me get this taken care of and answered ALL of my questions. GREAT GREAT GREAT COMPANY!Lariat Automotive Group, LLC

Ive had their extended warranty service for over a year paying $160 a month for what I was told to be a warranty covering of all major components of my vehicle. After taking my vehicle to the shop for the first time because the supposed roadside assistance fail through as well as tried to charge me, even though its a free service attached to your policy. Im being told the only thing theyre willing to pay for is my drivers side window button and that not only do I have to pay the $100 deductible I also have to pay the $371 the shop is charging to just look at my car and tell me whats wrong with it. It clearly states that after claim is approved the policy holder is only responsible for the deductible no matter how many things need to be fixed. So at this point Im being forced to pay $371 (inspection fee) if I want my car fixed Ill have to pay out of pocket $1538.26 for a engine sensor and leak coming from my engine oil cooler, as well as a $100 deductible. What in Gods name is going on this company refuses to cover the $371 surcharge to the service department for finding the problem and is only willing to cover my window control and Im still responsible for the deductible. This is highway robbery. I would never use there fake services again, they just collect your money and make excuses as to why they dont want to pay out a claim. I demand a refund of the $160 a month for a year and a half Ive paid out because clearly your intentions where never to protect my vehicle and high repair costs.?Lariat Automotive Group, LLC

To whom it may concern,I apologize that we are not able to cover everything on your vehicle. *********** facility called in an oil sensor and cooler, which we advised were not listed in your policy. ***** did approved a master window switch to be covered which is listed for coverage in your policy. You have a Powertrain plan which means everything listed in the contract is all that is covered. The oil sensor and cooler are not listed as major components yet your policy also doesn't list the items called in for coverage either. There is no excuse to not cover it, there is ONLY coverage on what is listed which we paid for. There is no where in this policy that states everything is covered nor were you told that in ANY of the phone calls that were reviewed as well. In this case your coverage is cancelled and we will be sending your prorated refund within 30 days of 12/29/2022. We apologize that we are unable to cover non-covered parts. Thank you for your review.Review fromEliza L.

Recently received a card in the mail with my name and the information of my newly financed vehicle. This card stated that I need to call x number and set up coverage or my vehicle will be within a high risk category? Provided a time frame and everything. Basically stated if you fail to register with us by this date, your vehicle has no protection. First time ever financing a vehicle and card appeared as if it came from the dealership. I called the number as I was scared and said I would set up coverage. I realized too late that this company was not through my dealership and had flawlessly used fear mongering to scam me out of $195. Im already covered through my dealership and did not need this protection. I just assumed the card came from my dealership as it legitimately appears that way. If I could post the image I would! I called to cancel after sales rep repeatedly told me she recommended waiting for 30 days before canceling (most likely added fees if you cancel after 30 days). After about my third attempt to ask for a full refund she said it would be granted in 3-5 days. This refund and cancellation was supposedly granted on 12/13. Still waiting on my money back and if it does not come back I will continue to contact the business, my bank, or whomever necessary. ****** learned of course but if this company wants better ratings and reviews I strongly recommend opting out of sending these false claims of your vehicle being in high risk category if you dont purchase protection. The company name wasnt even on the card but my dealerships name was..? SO misleading and pitiful use of advertising. Do better! The sales rep was nice and I understand she was doing her job but at the end of the day, I was lied to.Lariat Automotive Group, LLC

To whom it may concern,I am sorry your experience with us didn't exceed your expectations of what you purchased. Showing you have a 2017 vehicle with ******+ miles on it there is no way for us to see if you purchased something with the dealership and the notice you received was based off your factory coverage which ended at ****** miles. ***** was no indication in the activation phone call that you had coverage already once we explained what we were able to offer you on 12/12/2022. You only stated you received a notice that you might need to update your protection plan. And even then on 12/13/2022 when you called in to cancel never stated you had coverage already just that you realized you cant afford another monthly bill at this time and we cancelled your account and refunded in full your $195.00. No one ever pushed you to wait 30 days to cancel, they ONLY let you know there was a 30 day review period to get your full refund which we explained a "30 day monetary garuntee". ***** was not one ounce of pressure indicated in the call or deception. The information you received listed the dealership you bought the vehicle from so we automatically assume that is where you take the vehicle for repairs as well. Although your review tells a different story we still would like to thank you for your review.Review fromElma P

To whom it may concern,I am sorry that your experience with the different time-zones were confusing for you. You live in EST (Eastern Standard Time) when our office is CST (Central Standard Time) so at 1:40PM your time is 12:40PM our time. You were also calling us before 8AM CST(Central Standard Time). It also states "Central Standard Time" in our closed message so I'm not sure about the confusion. We are also a Monday through ************* in customer service and yes the activation department is open for a few hours on Saturday's. You called in to request cancellation on 12/5/2022. Your account was cancelled. Thanks for the review.Review fromSteve O

We got what looked like a factory recall notice from ******* in the mail after we purchased a used *******. I called them up thinking we would schedule an appointment to have ******* install a fuse in the engine compartment due to an electrical shortage that tends to happen. Instead, I got Lariat Automotive Group trying to sell me a car warranty. What? There was nothing on the card that said 'Renew your warranty' or 'Warranty update', what it did say at the top was *******. In very small letters it says 'Factory warranty replacement notice', some of the smallest letters on the whole notice as not to be of particular note. On the back it says 'immediate response to this notice required' and 'high risk potential "pre-existing" conditions with mechanical or electrical issues on vehicle'. I had to ask the guy on the phone a couple of times if they are affiliated with ******* before a got a clear answer, the answer was no. I asked him the name of his company and it sounded like '*****', kind of vague. I told him that their card is deceptive and it looks like a card from *******. He told me they are accredited with the BBB. I told him due to the deceptiveness of the card I will not be doing any business with their company, whatever it's name is, then hung up. I called back to find out the name of the company and a new person said what sounded like '************** bla', I couldn't understand it, especially because they kept talking quickly. I asked, "can you repeat the name of the company, i didn't understand it"? This time it sounded like 'Lariat bla bla', they quickly and quietly go through the last 2 words, and keep talking. Then I said loudly "STOP, I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, SAY THE NAME OF THE COMPANY AGAIN, AND THEN STOP TALKING!" Finally I got the rep to say Lariat Automotive Group. It took 4 times to get a clear pronunciation of their company name from 2 different people. Their business name is not on the sent card. They are not with BBB.Lariat Automotive Group, LLC

To whom it may concern, I would like to start off by saying none of our advertisements say Recall on them so Im not entirely sure how it would be mistaken for one when Recall notices are either sent on a White card with red & black font or in letter form on an 8x10 piece of paper with black and red font. You called in inquiring about the notice and never once mentioned that you were calling to set up an appointment for anything. We stated the name of the company is Lariat Automotive Group, however during that exact moment you had started to ask the question again and just didnt hear them clearly. It is completely fine if you dont want to do business with us as we only want consumers who want coverage with us. Neither of the Activation Specialists stated ************** BLA at all, we can agree the first time it was said was a little fast, but the rest were ******* clear in our ***************************** report. We may not an accredited business yet but take consumer complaints seriously, however you are not the first person to choose to not go with our service and Im confident you arent the last which is completely fine, I will gladly do my best to remove your name from the mailing list Thank you.Review fromConnie F

This company is truly a scam company. I have an extended warranty where I bought my car but somehow when I took it up to the premium coverage, I got Lariat. The only way I knew it was Lariat was I got their number off of my bank statement from where they were taking the monthly premium out. I filed a claim when water got in the back of my car and destroyed my control module for the lift gate. I took the car to the Cadilliac dealer, and they ran water test to find the leak, and nothing came up, When the dealership filed the claim, it came back denied because they said it was due to corrosion. Lariat said that was a pre-existing issue so it would not be covered. EVERYTHING on a used car is pre-existing, thus getting an extended warranty. I explained to the lady about how I think the water got in and she told me that that fell under my car insurance because it was an act of God. (When I closed the hatch, I didn't push hard enough and it did not seal, there was 2 1/2" of rain that night) I have now cancelled the warranty, but they said the refund would be prorated. I asked why and they said that is how insurance polies do. I asked for a copy of my contract and was told now that I cancelled it, they can't send it to me. They claimed to have sent me one, but I never got it. They said they would send me the refund check 45 days after I cancelled. I call BS. DO NOT FOR ANY REASON EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I have all correspondence and proof of this claim.Lariat Automotive Group, LLC

To whom it may concern, I am truly sorry you feel that way. Your issue with your vehicle was deemed to be caused by water damage due to rain, which is most definitely something that they do not cover, and it is stated in your canceled service contract. You repeatedly requested we pay for something that was listed in your policy as NOT COVERED. It wasnt a pre-existing condition at all. It was denied due to Corrosion containing water damage on terminal side and module side causing the failure. If the water wasnt present this most definitely WOULD have been covered if it was damaged due to a mechanical failure. We are required to abide by the terms and conditions of the contract and even though it made sense when we spoke, you clearly dont agree with the outcome and that is totally understandable and there isnt anything I can do to change that. But for the record *********************** denied your claim, we are only the selling agent FOR ***********************. How could you explain to me how the water got in there when YOU stated YOUR son didnt close the hatch all the way and that allowed water to enter, and now you say YOU didnt close it all the way, but water wasnt mentioned until the dealership and claims adjuster brought it up in their report due to your honest assumption, so you contacted me about it? It was at that time you decided to end the policy and asked for your refund. As stated THEN, your refund is prorated outside the 30-day review period and even though you didnt agree with that, all I can do is explain why its prorated. You received the portion of unused time back and due to the outcome and I thought I was nice enough to lift the $100 early cancellation fee (which would have been deducted from your refund), but either way it seems you werent going to be happy unless we paid for the denied claim OR gave you a FULL refund. You canceled your policy on October 10, 2022 and called in requesting a copy of your policy on November 7, 2022. Again, after telling you the policy was cancelled out and the system wont allow to send a copy of the policy you didnt agree with that either and requested a manager. The supervisor kindly stated we were unable to send you a policy for the closed/archived file and you stated **, well if I got a lawyer you would have to come up with something, so ya I know it can be done. We stated we cant reprint a cancelled file. Again, Im sorry you didnt agree with the outcome and your policy will remain canceled and refunded as is. Thank you Kindly for your time. ***************************Review fromNomandla M

*********, There was indeed a long conversation of you speaking with the agent and assumed you knew what it was that you were purchasing due to the questions you not only had but our agent answered. It's completely fine that you changed your mind. Our phones also have had no reported issues as well as your number not pulling up at all in our system in any queue since you set up your policy. We will gladly cancel your plan. Thank youReview fromAnnette H
