I am complaining about the lack of regular service from this company. On December 30, DCS picked up our trash 2 days late. Our contracted pickup day is Wednesday, except for some holidays.Since December 30, it has been 45 days and during that time there has been only 2 more pickups in my neighborhood. That means our trash is left on the side of the street, waiting for pickup indefinitely. We have never been called by this company to explain why they have delayed this service or when it will be resumed. I have personally called the company many times during these 45 days, and have been given many excuses and always told to just leave it out by the street and we will get to it. I have no way of knowing how many other customers have been affected, but there are three customers on my street alone who have. I feel that I have been patient enough by waiting more than 6 weeks for DCS to resolve any issues that have caused our lack of contracted service. Paid quarterly bill through bill pay service in early January. Bill covers Jan-mar. Second week of Jan called to cancel service, request refund since only one pickup was handled for the quarter, and have rented cart picked up. Was told, refund would be handled the end of the month and could not tell us when cart would be picked up since thats hired out. Cart was finally picked up 2/11, refund has not been received. We moved here in May 2023. We were told that this was the company to use for our community, but each home owner contracts with them. The service has gone down--they are not picking up on scheduled days. They started putting recycling into the trash despite the fact that we pay two different fees. We have called the company about that these issues and others and got all kinds of excuses. We decided to cancel in January (on the 10th). My husband was told that in two weeks, the bins would be picked up. They are still sitting in our driveway. I called again last Thursday. I was told a third party to pick those up. We were also told that by the end of January that we would get a prorated check as a refund. Have never received it.Initial Complaint

Trash has not been picked up for the pat 3 times on a weekly cycle . When people we know have called to say we need the trash picked up they are told. Our guys are tired . WTH does that mean. I pay every three months for once a week trash service, my trash has been picked up once in the last five weeks. The neighbor who has the same company same service day has called and is always assured they are coming. For the past 4-5 months this trash company has not been picking up every month like they're supposed to. Everyone in our neighborhood who uses this trash service has had the same issue and have reached out over and over without any resolution. They will pick up 2 weeks late constantly. Our street has a contract with this company This is the worse service ever and has got progressively worse. There is always a reason they do not answer the phone. We pay for a service and we do not get it. They choose what they will pick up and what they wont pick up. I have caught them going through our trash. I think its because we are a lonely street. They are not meeting our standards at all. Our yard waste has been sitting there for over a week. We have 5 trash cans right now in our yard sitting and its really ridiculous that this continues to happen. I have called repeatedly and nothing has been resolved. DCS Waste Systems office is open daily Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily. We provide personal service to our customers during those hours. Our contract on this street is to pick up 95 gallons of every day household trash per home. If our employees see that there is construction materials or other items that are not legal to go to the landfill they have the authority to remove these items before loading. Every service industry in today's corporate world has its own set of demands and challenges. In the current economy where there are challenging circumstances such as labor shortages and supply chain issues we have continued to work diligently to deliver all services.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
We are within our limits on what we have. They just don’t come when they are supposed to. Just a few weeks ago, we had yard waste, recycling and normal trash out all sitting out. You don’t even bother to call anymore because when you do, there’s always a reason why they don’t come you. Yes, there are labor shortages, but when you see all neighboring streets who have different trash haulers manage to have their items picked up in a timely manner, then you realize there is a problem. Problems have been going on for years, but has escalated in the past year,We are paying for a service that we aren’t getting. They are not upholding their end of the contract.
