    Our trash was supposed to be picked up last Thursday, 4/27. We called late Thursday afternoon to inquiry if it was going to be picked up and were told it would be picked up that day. It is now Tuesday 5/2 and it still has not been picked up. I think we should not have to pay for 1 week of service. In general this company is not reliable. There have other instances in the past that this has happened.

    After reviewing the calls and notes for the day of April 27, 2023, we found we received no call from ********. We did, however, find that ****** ***** called our office on 4/27/23 and he was instructed by our office staff to leave the trash out and we would come by to retrieve it.  We were running on a delayed schedule due to our employees' absences due to the flu. We have been serving this community since 2008 and while we regret the delay, the employees' illnesses are beyond our control.

    DCS employees dropped my trash cart off the back of their truck and broke the wheel off. When I called to ask them to fix it I was told that they are not responsible for personal trash carts but for $25 they can deliver one of theirs for $4 rental each month.

    DCS Waste Systems, Inc. allows customers two options:

    1) Utilize their own garbage cart without paying a rental fee.

    2) Rent a DCS trash cart for a rental fee which we will repair or replace if necessary.

    Trash carts available on the market come in a wide variety of designs and price ranges which hold different volumes and weight loads.

    Our philosophy is that if a customer decides to utilize their own cart we do not repair or replace that cart due to the fact we do not know the exact design, age and

    condition of the customer owned trash cart.

    DCS knows the quality of the  commercial grade product that we rent to our customers and we maintain stock on replacement components for our company owned

    equipment. We are confident that the trash carts we rent are high quality because they come with an extended warranty.

    I am rejecting this response because:

    my trash can was from Midwest Waste and was in great shape until your employee dropped it on the side of the wheel when dumping the trash.  My wife and I both seen him do this. Instead of sending someone out to see what happened, the lady on the phone decided to be rude and not want to listen to what I was saying. Your employee broke the wheel on my trash cart by letting it drop on the side of the wheel. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the can before your employee dropped it.

    This is the 4th time DCS Trash Service has not picked up our trash. Try calling them to get credit for not picking up our trash. They refuse to give one. They give accuses that they have drivers call in and their trucks are in the shop each time. Unexepectable.

    DCS Waste Systems, Inc. like all haulers has struggled during the COVID pandemic with finding enough drivers to cover the routes. We acknowledge that we have been late on occasion but we have continued to provide service a few days late when necessary in order to service our customers. The flash flooding in St. Louis greatly impacted our business last week. There was a century-old rainfall record broken in St. Louis with showers and storms and it made routing throughout the St. Louis area very difficult.

    DCS waste company does not pick up trash on day assigned. It sometimes is more than 3-5 day late. Our max days late is 6. They do not communicate if they are running behind. Therefore our neighborhood trash sits out on the street for days smelling up our neighborhood and attracting animals. It's disgusting. When you call their excuse is ONE guy took a vacation day. I kid you not. One employee. They offer no compensation or credit or offer a resolution.
