There have been four attempts to cancel this coverage and refuse to do so. They have been told in no uncertain terms that the service isnt wanted or needed and they just keep billing my credit card instead.Business Response

Good afternoon, after receiving your recent complaint, our Management has reviewed the account as well all past communication and timeframes. ** C. ***** called our company to purchase coverage for her ***** on 2/19/2025.
There was no communication after that until just recently on 5/20/2025 where ******* ***** was contacted by the ****************** regarding the past due status of the account. This was the only phone number provided by the customer at the time of purchase.
******* had requested to cancel and was advised by the Billing Representative that he would need to speak with someone in the correct department in Customer ********************** as cancellations are not something the Billing Representatives have the ability to do. ******* replied stating, "I'm not interested in talking to the correct department" and then told the billing representative to cancel it once more. ******* was then advised again that was not something the representatives in the ****************** handle or have the authority to do and was offered again to be connected with the appropriate representative in Customer ********************** to complete his request. The representative also confirmed that no future payments would be processed beyond that point but would simply need to speak with Customer **********************. The original complaint stated the credit card on file continued to be processed after the cancellation request however the most recent payment was in April and the only time we spoke to the customer other than the date of purchase started on 5/20/2025. No other payments have been processed since the first request to cancel.
******* refused yet again without providing any reason as to why, even after being told he would just need to follow the proper procedures and then ******* proceeded to hang up.
Shortly after, on that same day, ** C. ***** called in stating her concerns and desire to cancel. The representative at that time addressed the concerns and even offered to conference call her dealership to help assure her she was getting accurate information about her service contract.
Then on 5/27/2025, the ****************** reached out once more regarding the status of the account and this time, ******* was finally transferred to the Customer ********************** Department where he spoke with a Supervisor. ******* requested to cancel and stop getting phone calls and the Supervisor advised him that we would simply need to speak with the customer as ******* wasn't named on the policy. The Supervisor also explained the reason ******* was getting the calls was due to that being the only phone number provided at the time of purchase and ******* refused to provide any other phone number for the actual customer to prevent any future phone calls. ******* then said he could "make up a phone number" for us.
Customers can cancel their ********************** contract whenever they choose by following the proper procedures as stated in the contract booklet. The contract booklet shows being delivered 9 days after the purchase date which contains a cancellation application in the event a policy holder chooses to cancel.
We apologize if the cancellation procedures outlined in the contract booklet caused any frustration. Please understand that in order to protect our customer's information and privacy, we do require correspondence from the policy holder themselves or from someone the customer has given permission to assist in the matter.
We are willing to waive the cancellation application in this case, however we do require for the customer to call in and verify the request themselves to ensure contract guidelines are met.
The customer can call in and request to speak with myself or any Manager available at that time.
The Customer ********************** Department is open M-F 8:10-noon & 1-4:45 CT

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience or concern. In effort to rectify the situation I have removed you from our mailing list. Please note, our office does not make any sort of outbound phone call solicitations however, there are many agencies that do. Many agencies also provide similar services as all mailers are largely identical in layout as the approved marketing format for extended repair coverage. Additionally, after searching by name and phone number, I was not able to confirm any contact out office has had with you in the past. While we have stopped mailers from our office, we are unable to stop solicitations from other companies. You will need to reach out to them individually should you receive another mailer. Thank you again and we wish you well.Initial Complaint

I keep receiving letter from them to add protection for a ***** Trax. There is no name on the letter, so the first thing that I ask is the name of the company and where they're located..I did a bbb search to find out that they're a scam, and I feel like because of my age, they keep harassing me..I dont have a vehicle anymore more. I told them to take my name off of their mailing list..after my argument with them, I received 5 consecutive calls asking if I was stupid from a private number?Business Response

I Ive been receiving unsolicited letters and phone calls from this company for quite some time now. They persistently try to confuse me with regular auto insurance, even suggesting that I agreed to it when I purchased my car last year. Theyve even gone as far as implying that Im not insured. To make matters worse, theyve attempted to solicit my personal information. Despite repeatedly telling them to cease contacting me and mailing me activation letters, I continue to receive daily calls from them. I cant help but feel that theyre exploiting my senior citizen status.Business Response

I filed a complaint back in November 2024 about receiving unsolicited letters in the mail from this company about a warranty for a vehicle that I don't even own. I requested to be removed from the company's mailing list. They agreed to do so. Today Feb 8 2025, I just received yet another of the same scammy letters. I want this company to remove all my info/data from any and all lists and databases permanently.Business Response

This predatory business took advantage of me when I was confused. After realizing I don't need this service my son tried to help me cancel the service and the Customer ********************** ***resentative wouldn't even talk to me if he (my son) was on the phone with me. The customer ********************** *** literally hung up on me and made me call back again to cancel the service without assistance from my son. I think this is not a fair business practice. How are older vulnerable people supposed to be protected if they cannot be supported by their family. When I did get through to them again I was so flustered that I forgot to ask for a refund.Business Response

Good afternoon, after reviewing your recent complaint, our quality assurance manager personally reviewed all calls between you and your son to our company. There were two separate calls in total to our customer ********************** department.
The 1st call was from ***** on 2/5/25 in which he was advised we would need authorization from the customer in order to provide any details at which time he attempted to conference in ***** however, she did not answer at that time. ***** stated he would call ***** first and then call us back with them both on phone at the same time. No other calls were received from either party on 2/5/25
The only other call was on 2/6/25 when ***** called to request cancellation due to affordability. Her representative then offered different payment solutions and ***** expressed her gratitude and thanked her representative, stating "Oh yeah, thats good. I think that's easier for me to pay".Her representative then confirmed the next due date and asked if he could assist in any other way and the customer stated "No" and then told him to have a great day, once more thanking him for his assistance.
We apologize if this caused any frustration in any way as we strive to provide the best service to each and every policy holder. If you'd like to discuss the matter further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Good afternoon, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. After reviewing the account, we do see there was a refund sent after receiving all necessary cancellation documents back in 2024. That being said, our billing department is looking to see if this check was ever cashed or not. There will be another check mailed out as soon as possible should we find the original check was never cashed.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the status of your refund, please do not hesitate to call us @ ************ and request to speak with a manager.

Called ****************** company on Nov.13th.After looking at reviews, getting a quote, talking with them gave a deposit of $100.00 with the understanding I had 30 days and their Booklet would be mailed to me. Starting day being Dec. 13th and the first payment would be taken out at that time, $155.83.Received Booklet/Agreement came Dec 12th titled American Service Auto Protection, looked up their reviews, not good. By the time I looked over the Booklet the company was closed so called them on Mon the 16th explaining I wanted to cancel, the first ********* asked why and when I told him that I thought I was signing up with Omega not American Service Auto Protection he kept arguing with me that it wasn't a good reason, finally he sent my call to his supervisor who told me I couldn't cancel and after I kept saying I still wanted to cancel and asked about a refund he said I wasn't getting a refund back, when I kept asking why he said he could take me off autopay and I could call in January and cancel. I wanted to start with another company and use that refund for whom ever I went with. I feel they tried to bully me into staying with them. I am already losing a $100.00 for the deposit and would like a refund of the first payment of $155.83. Thank you ***** 12/21/2024Business Response

American Services Auto protection sent mailers to my house about a warranty package that I did not sign up for. I'd called/emailed so many times to get them to cancel whatever contract they had me signed up for, but each time they hung up on me or ignored my emails. Initially I had seen the fishy charge on my credit card and noted it was fraud. American Services Auto protection keeps sending mailers and "membership cards" to my house despite this. I'd like to be removed from their mailing list, and ensure they can no longer use my information.Business Response
