5 starsMy SUV had an engine leak, I called car shield, they informed me that my Mechanic had to send in diagnostic test results, which he did. Car Shield approved my claim, My SUV was in the shop for 4 days, I had to get a car rental, I didn't know they had updated there car rental policy as of June 1, 2025 from paying for my car rental , to having me pay for my car rental and then submitting my car rental bill and they will reimburse me. I am on fixed income. I thought it will be a good preventive measure to put some kind of extented warranty on my car. After weighing the pros and cons, the monthly premium takes a big chunk out of my income. I will cancel my contract today. Furthermore, after reading the unflattering comments, I rather be cautious then be sorry later.

This was my second claim thru CarShield and both times I took my car to the neighborhood ***** dealership. Both times, CarShield provided a rental car during the times of the repair. The most recent repair, I took my vehicle in for just a bulb replacement and through the courtesy inspection they discovered several safety concerns. The service advisor contacted CarShield and informed me that a claim was opened and that the independent inspector would be coming on Monday. I contacted CarShield at the car rental office and the agent was able to view my claim and initiate the car rental contract. On Monday, I was called by ****** and he informed me that the inspection was done and that most of the work would be covered and that I would be left with basically the deductible to cover. ***** actually left me with more than just the deductible but with my Military Discount we were able to reduce my charges considerably. I love my car and after 2 claims, CarShield has been instrumental in providing us peace of mind knowing that we will be taken care of.CarShield

Repair took too long!! Over 3 hours is unacceptable for replacing 2 electric window switches. I am on 24/7 oxygen & use a portable oxygen concentrator which runs on a battery that only lasts for only one hour. This means that l became dangerously low on oxygen causing me to become weak & dizzy. , Then l was informed that they only had one electric switch in stock & the other one would have to be ordered ?? Now l would have to return & go through this all over again. Nothing personally on CarShield just b a heads up on ****** ***** **********CarShield

1 starCarShield tells you what you want to hear to get you to sign up. But 120 days later when their mechanic says you need another engine, ******* will only pay $2,500 for a head job. CarShit is a joke. Look else where for a different company, not that they may be different but take my word for dont let CarShit take your money. My bank is refunding all my monthly charges because of lack of service provided.
