  While talking to them over the phone, they, surely sound very professional, and as you go, you start to detect some sort of heaviness in their demeanor. Please! when we all do start to have this sort of feelings, something is trying to tell us. Cut it out! I do mean not that. I am talking about the conversation you silly people. Avoid them for your own good. Happy Holiday to you all.

  Just adding the latest complaint into the well-established deceptive and misleading track record that Home Warranty Direct already has. Received the mailer and because my “old” lender name was there, I thought I needed to resolve something with them since my mortgage had been sold to a new company. I soon as I called I realized I’d been duped by the mailer. Still took me 15-20 min just to professionally get off the phone with them. Refused to mail or refer me to any additional documentation on the services they provide. Tactic was pay first and then you have 30-days to review all the materials. So glad I committed to nothing, and my spidey senses will be on high alert.

  Do not do business with this company. As mentioned in one of the previous reviews, It took me over an hour on the phone to cancel my contract. I spoke with a customer service representative who would not accept that I wanted to cancel. It was a stand off. Once she realized I wasn't going give in to better payment plans and free year I was put on hold for over 10 minutes before I spoke with the "Account Manager". The CSR was just the warm up. Once I was connected with the manager it was a full on Mexican standoff. He refused to accept the fact I wanted to cancel. I repeatedly told him I wanted to cancel and he continued to go through the playbook of how I would regret the decision. It go to the point of accusations of me being rude after the 15th time of repeating I wanted to cancel. If you call to cancel, be sure to say anything but other than "I want to cancel my contract". You will have to repeat yourself, but it will save you from getting into an argument.

  Completely fraudulent in the manner and information you have presented to my client. Your lies and scare tactics will be investigated by both the bank and also local authorities. This goes beyond disheartening as those of us in the service industry attempt to help people every day, only to have companies like you scoop in to suck away their hard earned monies.

  Just like everyone else said, scammers. I fell for the mailer I got when I bought my house and bought a warranty through them. I've tried to file three claims and so far just a small fraction of one of them was covered. This is crazy, I'm switching companies.

  Do not purchase! I tried to cancel 6 months into this contract and it took me over an hour and several people to actually listen to the fact that i want to cancel this account! They offer everything from free month to lower monthly payments to wanting to know what is personally going on in my life for me to cancel!! It is not worth your pain or suffering to have to listen to this!! Just do not use them!!

  This company lies to you from the very beginning. They dont even deserve a star. They are very fraudulent. They promise a full refund and dont even give you 1/3 of your money. I even cancelled in the first 30 days. And it took 3 months to get anything at all. Im glad I didnt keep them.

  I'd give no star if I could.I got a "waiver" check from these people in the mail with all sorts of statements on it such as "immediate response requested" "final notice" "this will be our final attempt to notify you". It was in reference to the reverse mortgage I had just gotten. The notice had my name and address plus the name of my reverse mortgage company, but NOT the name of the sender anywhere. I called them and the recorded messages I got while on hold told me that it was some home warranty outfit. I stayed on the line loaded for bear. I finally got an agent who asked if I was who they wanted, I said I was and immediately asked for their company name and confirmed it. I told them I have no home warranty nor do I want one and that I think they play pretty dirty, because I had thought from their mailing that there was something wrong with my mortgage and they didn't even have the decency to put their name anywhere on their mail. Hung up on the fool.

  DISGUSTING!!! They literally tried to argue with me when I told them I have a warranty in place. Said they had a better deal ( I pay $900 a year for my home warranty) but this company wanted to charge me $300 and something a month. I said no way. They said well at that $900 cost nothing in your house is covered, so I read them what all was covered on my current warranty. Then they said well theres a cap so if you need a new a/c unit youre going to come out of pocket $7000. (My current company has already replaced my furnace for over $10000 I didnt come out of pocket at all) but on the letter it says its an urgent matter and final notice. It says nothing about who they are. They tried to bully me on the phone into buying their warrant then when I wasnt giving in to the guy arguing with me. He said stay blessed b**ch how disgusting of a human being. I hope yall shut down!!!!!

  Awful unconscionable group - Ive asked them repeatedly to stop contacting and mailing me things. They surely take advantage of some people who dont understand and are threatened by their misleading mail.
