(I wanted to leave ZERO stars). Letter arrived with no return address, but instead 'This notice is time sensitive sent on 10/13/23', and 'Immediate response to this notice requested', and 'Signature required'. Inside Inside it provides a 'Home owner ID', a bank name (with which I've not had any contact/business in 3 years), and the message 'Please call IMMEDIATELY as this will be our FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY YOU; followed by an 800#. That is followed by an hours of operation notice, and then at the bottom, something that looks like a check with 'Pay to the order of and 'Allocated Waiver $199', and then in the fine print at the bottom 'This is not a check'. NOWHERE is the sender identified, nor is there ANY indication of what the letter is referring to - other than my home. I called to find out WHO sent the letter, and then gave a verbal lashing to ******* as an obvious scam artist.

I was surprised when the home warranty direct suddenly informed me on the phone on 10/3/2023 that my account had been canceled. They said that my contract was canceled because they mistakenly did not charge one month's payment to my credit card. We have set up automatic monthly payments so that this company automatically collects by July 2023, and we have heard that we have paid seventeen out of eighteen. Even though they have never noticed about my payment was wrong. Also they said "Since we were not able to get this pushed through for you we are going to make an exception and if you mail in a letter for a refund we will have a pro-rated refund sent to you" However they just changed mind that they can't pay the pro-rated refund at the last minute nether. I am really embarrassed. My policy would be to until 12/2024 but they canceled.

They send misleading notices in the mail that make it
vaguely seem like you could face legal consequences if you don't contact
them. When I called and initially made my deposit for warranty, my bank
flagged them as fraud and I had to sit on the phone for an extra hour
to get it to go through. The next day I decided signing with them was a
bad idea and called back to cancel, only to ask the rep 6 times to
cancel my policy and refund me in our 30 minute conversation.

I received multiple letters in the mail stating that my home warranty was about to expire. I do in fact have a home warranty so it made sense to me to resign. Turns out my warranty was 2 years away from expiring and I signed up for a second home warranty. A couple months later I saw I was paying for 2 home warranties, I confirmed with the original warranty provider that I still had a plan and then I called home warranty direct. While I was on hold I googled the company and saw that hundreds of thousands of ************ had been sent the same letter and the ********** department of insurance made home warranty direct refund anyone in the same situation I was in. When my call was finally answered I asked to cancel my warranty and a refund for the months I paid for 2 warrantys. The guy on the phone tried to convince me that his warranty was better and when I told him I wasnt interested in doing business with the company that tricked me, he said **** cancel my warranty and immediately hung up without letting me ask for a refund. Waste of several hundred dollars. I dont live in ********** so not expecting a refund. **** HOME WARRANTY DIRECT

Got a letter in the mail stating my renewal is due. Turns out th glad my mortgage company had nothing to do with these people and when I called them back to let them know this isn't true, they tried to gas light me. Insane!!!!! Beware of these people, They should have a negative star rating for companies like this . Not sure why they are allowed to still be in operation.

Their offer letter had no address for the company, ************ represents itself as a "trusted partner" of my mortgage company, which is not true. My mortgage has nothing at all to do with this company. They send out fraudulent checks to people by lifting their names off county records and then representing themselves as connected to your mortgage company.I called the number on the letter -- fellow claimed to be Better Business Bureau accredited ... They're not. He wouldn't give me a company address -- "for security reasons" They claim your home warranty is expired in hopes that you will give them your money. What home Warranty ?? I suspect much of what this company is doing is illegal and fraudulent -- certainly in bad faith.. ** one mans claim of $179/month being automatically debited from his account, yet receiving no policy info or good customer service explaining his benefits is correct, then it seems this company is illegally charging for a service they have no intention of fulfilling.

It's only a matter of time until they get sued out of existence.

Horrible scam baiting practices. Luckily there are people out there that can determine your mailers are scams but your practices are malicious and underhanded for anyone who may happen to fall prey to them. Shame on you.

Extremely pushy and rude. The finance manager became disrespectful when I told them I needed to speak to my husband. Asked why that was necessary and then hung up on me!!
