1 starAfter purchasing a boat from bass pro Altoona store. I had to return it 3 months later to have work done to it to failed parts. And to have a livescope installed that I had ordered. When dropping it off I removed 2 humminbird screens and 1 garmin screen. Locked the bins with my fishing gear and gave them the keys to keep inside. Along with the 1 garmin screen that I was asked to keep there for the livescope install. I asked them to keep the garmin in the store along with the keys. So not to worry about theft. Up return to pickup my boat I found it park in the far of the parking lot where everyone drives in and out away from all cameras. The keys were left in the boat and garmin screen on board along with the previous model of livescope that was mounted to the pole mount someone removed the garmin opened all bins with the keys that were left in the boat. And stole all rods reels and tackle along with the keys and livescope! Now Im being told they will not replace any of the items and their insurance is handleing it. Ive been told without previous receipts theres nothing they can do. It is $8,500 worth of equipment. I am very disappointed with the company Ive purchased a boat with accessories that amount to around $50,000 hunting and fishing gear over the years my father bought a boat from them 4 years ago and a 4 *******. Weve purchased dehydrators clothes used the restaurant and gaming area with our kids spent who knows the amount of money with this company. To be told I basically dont matter and theres nothing I can do. Are you kidding me a company your size cant make this right is ridiculousReview fromJodie N

1 starWe purchased a Tracker 400 OX back July of 2021. We had it for a few weeks and noticed that the oil had turned gray. We call the service shop and we took it in. They had it for a few weeks and all they did was change the oil and filter. They said they couldn't find anything wrong. We had it for a few more weeks and the oil turned gray again. We took it back up and they kept for over 2 weeks and again changed the oil and filter and told us they couldn't find anything wrong. We had it for short time again and the oil turned gray again. We took it back up to the shop and they have had it for over 2 months. They changed the oil and filter again and told us they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I contacted a lawyer and they said it fell under the Ohio Lemon Law and to send a letter demanding our money back. I sent the letter to the Rossford, OH location and I called the store a couple days later and they told me that they would call me back. The Tracker is still at Bass Pro. I went to buy, a new case knife. Waited for twenty minutes by the knife counter and just kept getting passed by! I said, something to one he said, someone will be by. Instead two plain clothed security men stoop by looking at knives. Trying to act like they were no watching me! Like, I was doing something wrong! That is offensive! I just got off of work. And looked like I did also! I will never spend my money there again! The Kansas city Kansas Cabela's is one to make you feel not welcome! I bought that case knife somewhere else!Bass Pro Shops

2 starsBass Pro Shops doesn't seem to understand the concept of
same day pickup. That doesn't mean show things as available when
ordering online (Hooksett, NH) only to call to check on the order
several hours later (Hooksett, NH) to find out they didn't even look at
the order yet (Hooksett, NH). Oh and then it is priceless to have the
person who answered the phone say maybe we "sold out" since my online
order was placed (prior to opening that day). Is that the spin BPS is
trying to use to list items as available when they are not?...so dumb.
Same day pickup is ready in around an hour from every other retailer
that provides same day pickup. Either fix the issue or stop offering the
service as all you will end up with are complaints.
I also received terrible customer service by the woman who answered the
phone (Hooksett, NH) as she was unwilling to do much in the way of
finding out availability of anything over the phone. If you hate your
job please quit and allow someone who understands the importance of

I went up to Bass Pro Shops in *******, ** to purchase an item that clearly marked as in stock on their website. When I arrived at the store the counter was not crowded and I got a salesman to assist me. When I asked about the handgun I was looking to purchase to see if it was in stock I was first asked a line of questioning to include if I was a state resident, if I had my HQL, and if I had filled out my 77R before I could find out if the item was in stock. At this point I had not decided if I wanted to purchase a gun from this establishment so why would would I have filled out the 77R. I was then told that the gun was not in stock and the guy just walked away. There were other firearms I was interested in looking at and he did not give me a choice, he was done helping me. It was apparent that this guy was doing everything possible not to do his job and not to help any customers. I attempted to get help from another salesman and he just walked by as if he didnt hear me at all. I will not be making any further purchases from this store and I have been a high spending customer in the past.Bass Pro Shops

I place an order Cabela's early 7/27/22, paid for express delivery that would have gotten the delivery by 7/29/22. Got a text from ***** that said package will be delivered Monday 8/1/22. Called *****, and they said to call Cabela's which I did. They said that happens often and to call ***** who told me the ticket didn't even reach them until today (28th), but if Cabela's would pay for overnight shipping, we could get it on the day that was promised. Called Cabela's again and asked for a supervisor who said they don't have that option. I am so disgusted with them as ***** said yes they could. Supervisor also said the delivery date is an estimate. If I couldn't get it when they said I wouldn't have bought it, as we were planning a trip with grandchildren and needed the package to fulfill what we had told them what we were doing. 1 starEverything is being return no money has been issue for refund amazing ratings about the service is terrible and as colored man with cash I was asked to leave that has been expressed I have return food i bought or other items and if arrest thats one way to prevent refunds and scary monitors I had return all items to you nothing was never no payment no nothing it on debit I could been refund cash so actions did are reflected on your reviews so needles to say I was dope and employees are trained threaten false attest nothing done wrong do so no faith in refunds or you I think good community how treat people I already told by ***** he had consul general to take point to back not refunding me or no providing of service I will ensure if seek to litigation is route because it worth defending people say have police arrest me. I went local shop sold same item but you had issue with me I need money back and more 324 im not stupid and I will have get point as attorney see its rippoff and so I will fight this already filed several complaints about matter as well so assume banning customer is good fine last thing will attorney reach out next week. I was never given merchandise ***** told get gun department when pay for the items threaten me with arrest and passed background befoer now refuse to return my money so they sold me three items took money from and never returned it so far it paid with debit car as well. They had my boat (Tracker V18 Targa) for 3-weeks. They were scheduled to have it for 2-weeks. They advised that the time to do the work was not much. I had scheduled with the shop manager for the work to be completed and when. When I dropped it off 6-days later, the asst. shop mgr. didn't know why my boat was there and the parts had not been ordered. They advised that they would get the parts ordered and the work completed. They were unresponsive to voicemails, and e-mails when my boat was supposed to be ready. 4-days after that, they called to advise that the work had not yet been started as the parts they ordered were taken for another customer. Having had a previous poor customer service there I went to the shop to see what work had been completed in the 3-weeks that they had it. Nothing had been done. I asked the asst. shop manager why, to which they advised that they are told what their priorities are and that my boat was not a priority. The asst. shop manager was trying themselves to install a float switch to my existing bilge pump (I had advised that I wanted an integral unit, not an add-on), however they couldn't figure it out as they were looking to attach it to the livewell pumps. This led to another dicuscussion which determined that this individual is not a qualified technician and should not be working on boats, let alone life-safety equipment on boats. They also lied about perfroming the work related to inspection and oil changes. Cabela's Tulalip and their corporate head office have been advised of this. The strore manager is on holidays, however I have not heard from the boat manager, or the shop manager who were included on the communications. This experience and another one from 2020 is too much. Neither Cabela's or ******** will see any future business from me again.Bass Pro Shops

This did not occur. I responded to their management group and corporate customer service on 07/29/2022 with the previous email communications advising that nobody had reached out to me. There was one response from the boat sales manager to the shop manager I was copied on noting; "I told you to call them more then once...".
With that said, I responded that no contact is needed as what's done is done, it's a matter of principle. They cannot be trusted as they have unqualified people working on life safety components for boats which also means that they are overcharging the customer by charging shop rates which should be based on qualified technician rates. As well, they are putting the customer at risk by having unqualified people work on marine life safety components, and then not being truthful when the customer tries to hold them accountable for their responsibilities.
Hopefully they take this as a lesson's learned and tighten their operations up.Review fromBryce M

1 starI've been waiting 2 weeks for an update which I finally received Wednesday with a delivery date of 7/22, today. This package is a gift and it says it shipped on 7/20 but hasn't even been given to ***** yet. First it was waiting to get it processed, now its a problem with shipping. Now I get an email saying that the item was delayed in being shipped due to warehouse shortage. Mind you that I had an original delivery date of 7/12. The lady told me that if nothing shows up before 7/26 to give them a call, yeah right, they havent done anything to help my order thus for. Bad business all around and I will be getting together with a few guys to file a civil lawsuit for how our money is being handled and maybe even criminal pending an investigation into what is going on.Review frommichael d

had a horrible experience with a customer service employee named ******* at the **************** store regarding their price match policy. Their policy clearly stated they match ****** on their website and in the store, however she would not make the price match for me, she was rude and condescending to me that other employees actually told her she was wrong. It took the store manager to straighten her out. Bass Pro needs to educate their employees on how to deal with customers and not be so rude.Bass Pro Shops
