1 starI got my second oil change at Take 5 on **** Pkwy. The first one was fine. After the second, I noticed a leak in my driveway after 2 weeks. I took my car back to Take 5. A manger looked underneath the car and told me the transmission was leaking. He claimed that the fluid was leaking from the transmissions gasket. I told him that I would take it to the dealership. The car had less than ****** miles.I then took my car to the dealership. They reported that they found oil on the transmission. The oil was leaking from above and running down the transmission. At inspection, they found oil leaking from the oil filter adaptor area. There was no O RING. They replaced the oil filter adapter seals and cleaned up the mess. I had to pay for a rental car. From now on, I'll pay the extra costs and go to the dealership for an oil change. T5 - Proceed at your own risk!!! Not worth the hassle.Review fromCassandra C

1 starI got an oil change at take 5 on **** **************** *****. After a week of driving, i was with my son (luckily i was not on a busy road/highway) I had to tow my car to a mechanic that told me I had no oil in my car, the drain plug was missing, and i need a new engine because it locked! I am very disappointed this happened and take 5 should be held accountable to pay for my new engine I now need because of their lack of efficiently. I cannot purchase a whole new car..my ***** civic 08 was a good car, low mileage at 90k and more. This has caused me so much inconvenience, stress sadness and money I do not have towing my car 2x, diagnostic invoice, lyft rides, car rental for a week, and the 2 days I had to miss work because I did not have a ride. I work about 30 min away from home. I have reached out to ******* the manager at take 5 about 3 times and i still don't have status on my claim yet. This is very urgent and I cannot wait any longer. I need my car back, I go to work and my son goes to school. I need someone higher than The field manager at take 5 to call me asap so we can expedite this issue. This is not fair and not ok. I cannot just keep renting cars every week :(Review fromMiracle H

1 starI went to take five to get an oil change that was done incorrectly because the car was still leaking oil . When I spoke with a manager who said he would fix it he told me that the former employee who did the oil change does not work there anymore and that he mustve done something improperly . I drive a 2016 Audi A3 . He told me that he would replace the drain plug and that I shouldnt have any issues after that . After installing a drain plus within a week my oil light was back on and car still leaking oil . I contacted him with no response . I had video proof of my oil being checked with zero oil . My car wouldnt start about a week after that and I got a diagnosis done at the dealership which told me that whoever installed the drain plug caused my engine to fail. Ive been trying to reach someone in ownership , corporate . They will not take responsibility. The manager was *** , I have all commutation receipts via text including detailed estimate from Audi . The ** *** was very rude and did not help at all . Take 5 location ************** ****** **Review fromMatt A

1 starI am retired Navy, who has used the Take 5 on ********** in **************** for over four years now. However, in the last year, I have taken my truck to receive an oil change with the last 3 oil changes, I have 3 situations with my coolant system. I am not a mechanic, but after this 3rd time I noticed a coolant problem. After just leaving the shop, I got home and noticed fluid under the passenger side of my truck. I looked underneath, and it was coming from a protrusion from the firewall that was dripping coolant. After googling what it could be, it verified my suspicion. I immediately drove the truck to the shop to ask if they could help or look at it. I pulled up and told the very polite attendant of my situation, and he recognized me. I called his manager (****) over, and I started by telling him how much I appreciated the job they do and my family uses them all of the time. I then said that I had just left and had noticed a coolant leak, and before I could even get the sentence out, he cut me off and said, "coolant has nothing to do with an oil change.", I answered that I understood that but this is the 3rd time this has happened after an oil change and he snapped back, that "he didn't care what I thought, that they don't touch anything with coolant" and he walked away. I repositioned my truck and got out of my truck, and asked him if maybe a hose got bumped, and as I was talking, he started cursing at me and threatening to call the police. At that point, I go pretty upset and told him that he was being unreasonable and I was just trying to get some help or explanation. He told me, "goodbye, ********* and walked his office". I yelled at him that this was extremely rude and unprofessional. I also told the 2 young guys that they did a great job and were professional, as the manager walked out again and told me to get the f--- out of his store. I left. I honestly just wanted them to help or explain. I will not go back and discourage others to not go back.Review fromLarry D

1 starNo customer service..Talk to you with no respect and I'm talking about the supervisor of the shop I also took a picture of him ...most ignorant person I met.......They did an oil change on my daughter's car and it started leaking oil so we came back to them and I asked the young man to check where the oil was leaking from .he then proceeded to drain the oil I asked if it was from the drain bolt he said no so I asked why would you drain it he then asked me if I'm a mechanic and if I'm not just stay quiet & wait...he looked under the car came up and said the oil was coming from somewhere but he had head phones in his ear talking to someone on the phone so I didn't know he was speaking to me I asked him can you repeat what you said he said no he already said it he is not going to repeat himself...then he proceeded to replace the oil plug with a universal plug after he had told me earlier the the original plug was fine and he just refill the oil and told us to leave and have a nice day...I still have the original oil plug and at this point don't know why or where the oil was coming from so hopefully the oil does not keep leaking on the engine and smoking up on the outside and the inside of the vehicle...This I have to say is the worst customer service I have ever had in ********************** facility......Review fromSade W

1 starThis really disgusts me when a business has no care in the world on how they treat customers, they are solely damaging people cars and not being held accountable.. After reading these reviews, everyone having the same issue with this company and nobody being held accountable.. One of the unprofessional mangers had my car towed to their shop two weeks ago, I have not heard from him since he had my car towed.. I have call corporate and the shop, no have return my calls. The fact that i had no issues with my car prior to getting an oil change and a coolant exchange.. it lead to no oil in my car and a blown head gasket. I am extremely ******, Something really needs to be done, I still dont have my car and no one is returning my phone calls, not even the district manager.Review fromRod G

1 starI had work done on my vehicle and a tech damaged my vehicle in the process. I was assured it would be taken care of. However, now I am stuck with the expense even after they mentioned how the individual was new; and it being a mistake.Review fromKara M

1 starjust now NEW I went to the take 5 oil on ***************** in ********* NCfor the first time and paid 110.$ for my oil change which was fine with me. As I was waiting I noticed the crew members were arguing amongst themselves. I got the oil change or so I thought paid and left after waiting 45 minutes in line. As I pulled off my oil light came on. I thought well maybe it will take a minute for the oil to register. As I pulled on my street I noticed my engine making a light ticking noise that its never done b4. I went inside ate dinner and realized I had missed 4 calls. I called the number back and it was the take 5 I had just left. They told me that they forgot to put the oil in my car and to drive back up there so they could do this. As I was waiting in line again I could hear the crew members still arguing about how the manager on duty that day was lazy and didnt like to work to the point she didnt realize she didnt put the oil back in my car till after I had left. I asked them upon leaving what kind on compensation they could do for me for the mishap and she wrote 15$ off next oil change due to didnt add oil to car. I normally take my car to the ***** dealership where I purchased it and only pay 70$ but didnt feel like doing it that specific day. Seeing as not putting oil in my car could have cause the engine to throw a rod or worse I dont feel like 15$ off 110$ barely covers it. The manager didnt act like it was a big deal and tried to blow it off like it didnt really matter. I definitely dont recommend taking your vehicle here or any take 5 as the following day I sent the Take 5 corporate office a email and never heard back from them either. This incident occurred on 10-9-23.Review fromPaden M

2 starsWas let into the building and was told I would get a oil change, and then told they would not be able to remove the oil plug. However, my father in law was able to remove the plug. I believe it was the $20 coupon that they did not perform the oil change.
