1 starI have dealt with this company for years. Always enjoyed doing doing business. UNTIL AS A WOMAN I WAS SINGLE OUT. Hendrick allowed a manger *********************** to harass me over a car deal. I strive in life to do the next right thing no matter what, I was upset for 2.5 days wondering how I was going to come up with ****** to buy back a car that had a clean title. The manager didnt answer his work phone as I was ask to call back on, he returned my call on his cell as I was calling his office. All calls are recorded there so why not conduct his business in his office phone, he had to know I was calling to call me at the exact time. Shady business as the deal I stated was $3000 short in the beginning but I agreed to it so that was on me . But he was outline claimed I sold him a junk/salvage vehicle. I did not . Not sure how their company was working to change my title the salvage but NC DMV showed a clean title as CA did as well. When we did the deal and signed the papers that make you take a Zip drive . Beware its a check **** in the paperwork that you choose that way of business even though you may want actual paper copies they take your choice. When we did our trade a back step was promised written down by salesman and after reviewing that zip drive it had been changed and typed in nothing owed. We was supposed to split the cost of that step. Please after you sign everything and your finance guy closing the deal have them reopen the Zip drive and rescan your documents to ensure nothing gets changed. Its called wrong in all sorts of ways. They make money on you and thats the car business but not back stuff out of your deal and harassment after 45 days of having a vehicle is wrong in all kinds of ways. Yes they have rights as a business but as a buyer we just trying to strive in this world as well. We have rights too. In this world all you have is your word . 1 starUnethical shady behavior from this dealership. Was buying a car close to closing and they lied saying "the banks are closed so we'll run your credit tomorrow". This is ridiculous as everyone knows financial institutions don't have to be open in order to approve loans. Everything is done automatically using preset approval conditions. They proceeded to run my credit the next day 8 TIMES. 8 hard inquires and only one was actually an Auto loan. the other 7 were personal loans. I'm getting letters in the mail saying I was denied for personal loans of ridiculous amounts that I didn't even apply for. Are they going to pay for the damages caused by their callous use of MY credit? Once this hits the credit bureaus I'll lose **************************************************** Didn't call me for 2 weeks with any news about the credit pulls. Didn't call to say I was denied. Didn't call to say literally anything. I'm feeling taken advantage of, and fiscally raped by this dealership. I recommend everyone avoid this Dealership. They're really good at applying for loans like they're you. Scummy, unethical, most likely illegal behavior. Thanks Hendrick. 1 starHi, Im ***************************** and a loyal customer at ******************** Lexus Charleston. I have a 2009 IS ************************************************************************************************ to the dealership on 4/20/24. It was smoking and I could smell the fuel coming out the vents and it stop working. On 4/22/24, ***********************(representative) called and told me I need a fuel pump, CV jolt, ******* maintenance and other variety of items. I told ***** that my teenager will be driving this car and.i want everything fixed on the car. I spent $5800.00 dollars total on everything. I came in today 4/26/24 and paid for the work and ask again if this was everything. He reinstated yes again and stated it was like new. I drove off and noticed my engine light came on and also my windows werent was coming down. I turned around and went back to Lexus. They took my car in the back and stated now its my Cadillac Converter. They assumed they just saw it and now I need to pay $4500.00 to get this work done. ***** has deceived me and therefore I didnt have the opportunity to make a clear decision on false pretence. I would have never paid $10,000 for repairs and never had a opportunity make wise decision. I would have bought my daughter a car instead of getting repairs on my car. PLEASE DONT GO TO LEXUS. 1 starThey have to be the worst car dealers and service shop in ******* they told me everything wrong with my car but not the real issue which was my transmission and I had a warranty up to ***** miles but they did not tell me until my warranty ran out remind you I have been going there two years straight to get some help with fixing my transmission because i stated that to be the cause of my Camero driving incorrectly shifting for two years and they never told me the issue was my transmission it was my oil pump or suspension or tire rods or struts or my transmission harness or my valve body. Than not to mention they put the new valve body in than took it out when they told me my transmission was bad instead of keeping it in until i can fix my transmission. I have wasted nearly 7000 dollars already over the course of two years and i would like to have a full refund and for this business to shut down effective immediately because i bought my car from this place with **************************************************************************************************************************************** fix it back to 100% they took advantage of me and I feel disrespected and violated.Review fromJamie W

1 starIf I could rate them a ZERO I would. From day 1 it has been terrible. I was supposed to get floor mats, my awful salesman told me I wasn't getting them so I had to get my husband involved to get them. I also told them I didn't want the LoJack but again He told me to bad I had to have it that they couldn't sell it without it only to find out a year later that was a lie and cost me a lot of money. From there it's been radio shutting off to heated steering not working they replaced both now the steering wheel is worse than it was and the radio still shuts off they did an update and made it worse! I also paid for paint protection that they said they put on but bird p*** ate the paint so they finally did the paint protection and I just got it back today after over a week of having it. We will never buy there again and will not send anyone their way. I also will find a new dealer's to finish out my warranty with.Review fromPatricia H

1 starIn 10/2023, I purchased a 2020 ES-350 from Hendrick ***************. The car had multiple problems and I brought it to the attention of *********** Director/Assistant. They proceeded to do the repairs. However, I kept returning. Their solution was to place me in another car where I lost my down payment as I used it for the current car and I would have a higher payment and according to the Sales Director the ********** knew the situation. No choice but to keep it. However, I took it back in 12/2023 and advised *********** Director; there was something wrong with the brakes. They checked the car out and stated there is nothing wrong with the brakes. Now here it is in 04/2024, I took the car to Hendrick Lexus of Independence and sure enough the car needs a full brake job. So I took it back to Hendrick ***** and spoke with the Sales Director/Assistant and advised the diagnosis of Lexus Independence. Hendrick ****************** told me again I don't need brakes at that time and the car shakes when you press the brakes real bad. Hendrick Northlake sent me out in a car that needed a brake job and I am glad no one was hurt as this is a safety issue. Although they refuse to fix the brakes. I blame myself as well. I trusted them when they advertised they do a thorough point inspection on their vehicles, but apparently this one fell through the cracks. I should have taken the vehicle to a mechanic prior to purchase. But I trusted the Hendrick *************** and I always held them in high integrity as I have been a customer for over 5 years. Just took the car in last 2 weeks ago and again no help with the brakes; just you don't need them yet. Brake job is going to be around $1000.00.Very disappointed.Review fromKrista G

1 starWe bought a Jeep Patriot from them 3 years ago with around ****** miles at the time. A few months ago we noticed the vehicle was having some transmission issues. Being that its still under warranty we took it to them to assess the situation. They confirmed that the issue was the transmission (along with several other issues) and the warranty company approved the transmission being replaced. We were then told that some of the parts were on back order and we would have to wait until they arrive. Finally all parts arrive after 2 months without a vehicle. Then another few weeks go by. Finally at the 3 month **** they tell us that the vehicle will be ready on a Friday afternoon. My fianc (who was out of town working & paying out of pocket for a rental vehicle) rush's home to return the rental vehicle and pick up the Jeep Patriot. He arrives and they tell him that there's no way they will have it completed in time. The manager comes out to speak to my fianc and ASSURES him that the vehicle will be ready to go on Saturday (the next day). Saturday morning rolls around and my fianc goes to the dealership to pick up his vehicle and surprise surprise the vehicle isn't ready. So they tell us it will be ready the following Monday. Monday rolls around and we hear NOTHING from them. Finally 2 days later the vehicle is ready. I go to pick it up and drive to my work and what do you know, the vehicle isnt running right then a week later the transmission light comes back on. I call them and they ask if i want to go ahead and bring the vehicle in. I tell them that were going out of town and cant bring it until the next Monday. Monday rolls around and we call them and they cant see us for another 2 weeks out which will be this coming Wednesday (April 24th). On top of everything they also inform us that one of their techs broke something off and they forgot to mention it but they will order the part for us. I am disgusted with this dealership. 1 starI used to like the Hendrick automotive group a while back. They have made some changes that are Pleasing to the ************. For example, when I applied for credit, I told them not to run it through specific bank, and they still did when I asked why it was told that it auto runs through the bank because of their system. Fast forward I had end up selling the car and was trying to cancel the warranty on the car and the finance person who closed me out would never return my call for more than three weeks. I show up at the dealership and he hid in his office and he was busy, so then when I finally got a hold of someone, we processed the paperwork and they were going to send it back to the bank even though the bank doesnt have the loan anymore which makes no sense to me. I think there is some regulation violation and fair credit act violation going on with that practice especially when a consumer is spending money Service or productReview fromSusan J

1 starHendrick ********************* by far is the worst collision place you can work with in my opinion. The whole process with them is extremely frustrating and painful. I would rather get my car fixed the next time at a mom & pop shop than going to hendrick. The estimator and staff don't have any empathy for the customers and are not proactive at all. A government organization employee in a third world country is a much more motivated to help their customers more than this. The customer literally has to dig into every aspect and even so the fix delivered sub par and very poor. I regret the day I decided to go with them. 1 starA nightmare. I brought my Kia ***** 2016 around a month ago for service when the check engine light appeared. The *** before that had been serviced for anti-theft recall and oil change. Since that time, the technicians at this dealership have been guessing the problem. First, they said the crankshaft sensor, then they said the computer was not reading and recently I was told that It might be an electrical issue. The *** has only 60 K miles and I don't think all these problems would happen to this ***. The *** is still at the dealership because they still guessing and I am kept in the dark. They would not give me a date to pick up my *** and I have been renting a *** to go to work. I will sell the *** after they release it because this dealership undermines the Kia *** quality. I will never recommend this place even to my enemy. I think they messed up something while doing the anti-theft recall service but they have been maneuvering around to prevent and responsibility for this issue.
