      If I could rate this bank zero stars I could. They stole around 15 thousand dollars from my mother and me. All our hard earned money gone, in a blink of an eye. My mother had been a customer for 20 years and had all her hard earned savings stolen from a Bank of America associate. They should be embarrassed for how they stole money from us multiple times. They have no protection against zelle transactions, and wont guarantee to return your money if stolen. ( which is what theyre associated told us over the phone) They also arent doing anything to permit fraud from happening in their bank. You will wait on the phone for hours since in person you cant even report fraud happening to your own Bank of America account. You have yo wait hours on the phone until someone picks up and by then all your money is stolen. Unbelievable, the worse bank ever.

      I didn't realize there were so many negative reviews until I check the BBB site. I talked to ***************************** at a ***************** ** location about a mortgage for a new home. I had a mortgage thru Bank of America a few years back and was happy with them. This mortgage would be short term until I get my new house and empty the old and get that sold then this new mortgage would be paid for. ******* didn't think there were any issues, she even sent me after hours a schedule showing payments. I signed the purchase agreement then she calls me today saying no loan unless I put down 75% of the purchase price or my current one is sold. ******** promised yesterday she would call in the evening but never did. She says her daughter was sick but to me a quick call would have worked. I would never use Bank of America now for anything. Their customer service is terrible.

      Bank of America. I had Questions regarding a charge. My call got into the fraud department and when asked questions regarding the charges the rep threatened to cancel me card. I apologised as I said the automated system asked me random questions and prompted me into the "correct department" regarding my **** and I did not mean to necessarily contact fraud just ask question regarding charges. The bank associate said if I provided to ask questions he would freeze and block my account and card. I asked if I could check with my daughter first to make sure the charges were in fact not my charges he soft blocked account so all devices needed to be reauthorised. Another several hours on the phone to get access into my own account. I understand procedure but the automated system and employee combined are horrible. 0 stars and changing the bank. One should be able to make inquires without such problems

      On 7/23/22 I went to the branch on to withdraw $600. The *** door opened and closed rapidly and finally closed and did not allow me to retrieve my funds. The screen said I would receive a credit. I immediately called customer service who insured me I should see the credit on Monday or Tuesday. As yet I have not gotten my credit. A claim has been opened I was told I might get my money back on 8/5/22, as they are still investigating. This happened with a Bank of America machine. I need that money to pay bills for the house. This is a huge hardship as my family needs these funds. I did nothing wrong but go to the *** to get my money. This is a Bank of America *** and I can't get my funds back the same day? I've called them everyday since the 23rd and there is no movement on the claim. No customer should have to wait no longer than a matter of hours after losing money at an *** when it's the banks fault. The people who make these rules of when money goes back to the customer have no money issues because they have all the money.

      Bank of America's practices border on predatory. In May, Bank of America had "issues" with their automated eBill system, which subsequently led to the failure of an eBill being sent to my bank. That resulted in my payment being received by Bank of America 1 day late... June 6 vs June 7. Not only did Bank of America charge me a Late Payment Fee, but they also charged me interest both for month before AND the month after the late payment... in total, the charges were more than $300. (For context, I haven't had a late payment on a credit card in a decade.)I'm not sure how BofA can get away with charging their customer fees for an issue that originated with their own billing systems! Feels like a nice, easy way for BofA pad their numbers. I'll take my future business elsewhere.

      Stole money from my 6 year old. Twice.My 6 year old has a custodial savings account for students. A couple of years ago they suddenly started billing him monthly. I caught it after a few months. They gave it back and "fixed" his account. A year later, it happened again. This time they refuse to give him his $48 back, along with a bonus snide comment, "well I check MY statement every month." We've put more effort than $48 dollars is worth, with 2 corporate calls, over an hour on the phone, and a visit to our local branch.What kind of soulless company steals 48 dollars from a 6 year and hides behind policy when caught?Changing all of our accounts and leaving BOA forever.

      My mother had an account with Merrill Lynch. When she passed away the account was left to me and my 5 siblings. They keep asking for information from us over and over again. We even sent what they wanted by registered mail. We received the signature card back, but they still said they never received the paper work. This has been going on for 4 months. They just keep saying they are missing something from one of us all the time. We are ready to get a lawyer to get this matter settled.

      Terrible company. I tried to withdraw my 401k because I am being wrongfully evicted and they declined my withdrawal saying it didnt meet their definition of hardship! You have MY MONEY and your telling me that needing a roof over my head isnt hardship. I stopped depositing into the account. Never again will I let someone else make money off of my money and tell me I cant have it.

      So I filed an dispute on June 24. 2022 with Bank of American for ****** for non delivery dealing with an Amazon package. Amazon has issued my refund on June ******* and its July ******* and Bank of American hasnt given my money yet!! Each every time I call I receive a different story!!! This Bank doesnt give you the power to do more! It plays with your money. Okay rewind months ago on May 9th. 2022 I went into the Bank of American branch seeking help but instead 7 days letter I found out that the Rep applied for me a credit card. Nobody from Bank of American has reach out yet to me about this complaint either. I am really thinking about speaking to an Lawyer due to the fact this Bank has cross the line with me in several ways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      They advertise that there fraud unit can help salve any issue but I need all the information that they had access to and then they refused to cancel a check that was sent with the wrong number so that my new job can send another check it's Friday and I will not be paid till Thursday because of there unwillingness to do as all parties involved asked go to a credit union they put me on hold for hrs to say they would do nothing
